Server is overloaded, what should I do?

I keep getting messages along these lines when I start the server "Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 2221ms or 44 ticks behind". its the budget server on 10GB RAM, and rn its only using 1.6 GB. we have about 40 mods but most are performance and qol stuff. the only real heavy mod we have is Create but we havent even started playing yet, we plan on starting tomorrow

Have you used a profiler like Spark to see if you can pinpoint what is causing the overload? If you open a ticket for the issue, Pebblehost will usually help identify what is causing it to the best of their ability if you can provide a log (which Spark will do).

the issue is probably cpu. You need premium for heavy mods, esp create

tried atm9 on budget and upgraded to premium, basically my issue disappeared

I run a server with create and get the same message randomly and I use a premium server with 12 gb of ram

So far it seems to only pop up when it starts, then the CPU usage goes down to like 10% or less. So I'll see how it is when we start playing and if it pops up while we play I'll upgrade. Thanks

Download an optimizer like lithium if on fabric, if not then ya gotta optimize your modlist uwu
Ya can achieve this with other mods or by configuring it yourself which is what I'd recommend if youre competent
