#Velocity setup issue

I get this error

01.01 20:12:34 [Server] [INFO] Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/velocitypowered/proxy/Velocity has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0```

and the server stops

Try manually setting the java version to the most recent version. See the guide below:
