43 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
did you unzip the file you downloaded or touched it in any way or did you upload straight away?
i followed the recourse pack tutuorial so it had me get a hash and also a link to it
ok my guess is that it could be that the version id/meta of the resource pack is incorrect, could you send me the file?
i cant because the file is around 27mb and i cant send over 25
hold on....it keeps deleting after i send the link
@frank turret i sent it in your dms
what!?
@frank turret ?
did what work?
changing the pack version
still wont work dang
yes
send it to me in dms
@long hornet The error is java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid CEN header (bad entry name)
what program did you useto zip up your files
Uh, I wanna say file explorer?
I use the same one all the time and it always works tho
well it's weirld that a source like file explorer will generate a invalid cen
i'll repack it for you, but i would check ur system
it could be a malicious program trying to change and inject things into zips
Huh, what kind of program?
I rarely download anything other than datapacks, only other thing I've recently downloaded was fabric and forge but that cant be it,, oh and dropbox
Thank you for this! I'll test it now soon
it might be. I suggest hosting it on ur own server if possible, or use a non-cloud sharing website
Sorry what exactly do you mean hosting it?
like put it on your website
Oh I don't have a website
As by host are you referencing Dropbox?
Alright I'm going to test it now
@long hornet, you just advanced to level 6 !
what i am saying is that services like dropbox and google drive might edit the zip file so that it may be smaller, easier to use, or stuff like that, which is fine for zips full of your files, but when it gets on a technical level like in minecraft it can break it
but that's just a guess ofc
