#Refresh rate capped at 60Hz on Linux
51 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Not sure why this game is Platinum rating on ProtonDB if they can't even fix this issue.
I have no clue about Linux but I know on windows there's a specific option for that in the in-game settings
there isnt
I have to use proton just for Resolution and it only to detect my 144hz monitor
Never heard of this issue before.
If no one replies here soon, consider making an issue on the GitHub repo if you believe this is an issue with the actual game.
Considering that you are using Linux, I'm going to assume you are pretty familiar with GitHub at this point.
Unless on SteamOS, then that is different.

If the engine isn't detecting the refresh rates supported by your monitor/display you can override it with this launch option:
Right-click Unturned in your Steam Library
Select Properties...
Find...

You have rocket installed?
Or open mod?
There is a built in fps cap in rocket config.
Default is set to 60
If you have rocket installed try looking into the rocket config and raise the fps. I don't know much about Linux but hope this helps.
They are taking about the game.
Like, playing the game.
You cannot use RM or OM clientside.
@floral cloud okay sorry but you neeeeeed to stop
stop what exactly? trying to help?
Stop and actually read about the issue. And some other things like the fact that OP has left already
his question wasn't very clear he just said he had 60 fps on linux there is a ton of things it could have been, just gave my tid bit. i don't understand what your problem is with me exactly?
This does not make it clear??????
i think you need to stop. you are creating a problem out of nothing here fella, as i said i read his question shared what i understood.
i didn't read the whole thread, just skimmed it.
have a good night pal.
Giving users completely wrong solutions like trying to tell them how to fix a server side problem on a client side issue causes issues because it just confuses the shit out of the user
That is the problem and why you should understand the base problem before rushing head first in to the wall
if he answered no to any of those questions he clearly didn't have to read the rest.
i started out with that.
i think you should go take a chill pill and find someone else to pick a fight with, i was just make a suggestion and you are over here biting my head off i had a similiar issue with fps cap weeks ago and that was the solution i came across, and as i said he didn't make his question very clear.
i don't understand why you aren't understanding i was just trying to help and you are being rude to me for it.
rough day pal?
there is always tomorrow.
have a good night.
I don't mean it in that bad of a way just check the comments little better next time specially the first 5 it normally gives a clearer picture of things
And even then who wants to increase the "fps" in rocket anyways
Like actually causing the person with the issue to be confused causes lots of problems if you give them completely wrong info because they will get stuck with it and keep going back to it because "this person x said this is the problem"
