#Best server hosts to use in 2024?

It really depends what your needs are:
-
Pine and GTX both have terrible support (search for their names in this channel), so if you are a beginner likely to need help, you should avoid these.
-
If you need low prices, quick support and powerful servers then I recommend either ModernHosting or SparkedHost
-
If you are familiar with Linux, you should just get a VPS from Hetzner and set up Pterodactyl panel on it. (Be warned that the DDoS protection will be 💩)
I am affiliated with some of the mentioned hosting companies, however I do not have recieve any benefits for recommending them.
@neon fox Thanks man that sounds good!
Personally I'd recommend against any host that charges you per player slot
outside of that it depends on what you value - certainly buying a VPS (or selfhosting) is the cheapest option and is also quite versatile but it's more technically involved (doubly so with ptero - I generally wouldn't recommend trying to selfhost that for most people) and managed game hosting services charge sometimes steep premiums but you usually get at least some level of support and a more hassle-free experience
get an old computer put it in your closet and turn on a dedicated server and leave it running 24/7 in your closet
pro tip it can be a good room heater in the winter lol
Sparkedhost is pretty good it's what I used last time I had a server.
GTX has had great support at least when I used it only took max of an hour depending on when you sent the ticket, but the panel is clunky so I can't recommend it unless you're willing to navigate it.
Would NOT recommend pine, I know for a fact that it has bad support I've seen them take a few days to respond to a ticket.
Modernhosting I can't really speak on but I've heard it's good.
But you should definitely prioritize a host that doesn't charge per player slot and has great support
My friend has been making servers since around 2021 and I've been making them since December of 2022

yeah 2 birds with 1 stone one bird for a server another one for a heater
