Hello, I run a small private unturned server between a few friends and recently after updating to 3.22.20.1 I am not able to join and greeted by a message that reads This server cannot be joined over the internet because it is not logged in with a Game Server Login Token Now I have some experience with steam GSLT's as I used to run a TF2 public server but I have 0 interest in running a public server, so why do I need a GSLT to connect via direct connect?

Well, if you break the TOS, such as selling buyable items multiple times and other stuff. He can then block your server from showing.
- not selling anything, nor breaking TOS as I said it is a small private server between friends and I do not want to be on the server list
- scrolling all the way down to the update notes reveals this
Last year setting a Game Server Login Token (GSLT) became a requirement for listing on the Internet server list. This has now become a requirement for direct connection as well. The goal is to help with moderation of servers re-uploading other creators' workshop files without permission.
and like what sense does this make? completely inhibiting the ability to connect to private servers for a granted very valid reason but direct connection being completely inhibited makes 0 sense whatsoever.
Regardless, thanks!
