So I'm trying to play modded Subnautica for the first time.

I installed NMM CE, downloaded a few mods from Nexus, including any mods that are nessecary for the former, and activated the mods in the manager.

How do I get to actually use the mods in the game? There is no trace of them.

Your BepInEx log file can be found in Subnautica/BepInEx or SubnauticaZero/BepInEx depending on the game you're trying to mod. Once you've found the log file, you can just drag it into Discord to send it.

If its not vortex it wont work

You can use vortex or the in-game subnautica mod manager
