#Someone would know how to install the de-extinction mod version 2.0 on Epic Games?
158 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Start by installing Tobey's BepInEx pack
The only way to install mods is through Nexus Mod?
you download from nexus then you put ur downloaded and unzipped files into bepinex plugins
if its your first time try the mod manager, if not follow the manual guide for this
Do I have to do this?
You are missing two files there
At least
Put all the contents from the zip into the Subnautica folder
Not only the BepInEx folder
Why?
You made a BepInEx folder?
Is that okay like this?
What is in the BepInEx folder?
yeah
Now I put the mods in the 'plugin' folder, and that's it?
Pretty much

Thank you so much. Just before I start playing, do you have any other really cool 2.0 mods to recommend?
I only like mods that make the game harder
Well, if there are any that make the game harder without making it boring, why not?
Lol, my response came before the question
But if you know of any 2.0 mods that add mobs, quests, or items, I'm even more interested.

i hope de-extinction make the game harder
No, not that mod
The decompression thresholds are not for me.
I can't even tell if the mods are in 2.0 or legacy
If you know, I'm all ears.
Subnautica | Identifying Mods for Legacy & Mods for BepInEx (Living Large / 2.0)
Note: Legacy is the version of the game prior to the Living Large update, available only via Steam
- Mod title
- Does not apply to all mods, but recently updated mods tend to include either 'BepInEx' or 'Legacy' in their mod title to indicate which version of the game it is made for
- Description
- You should always read the description of any mods you wish to use, 99% of the time this is all you need to do to determine if a mod is for BepInEx or legacy
- Release date
- BepInEx: any mods that have been released after December 14th 2022 and meet other listed criteria are likely for BepInEx
- Legacy: any mods that have not been released or updated since December 14th 2022 will 100% of the time be for legacy
- Requirements
- BepInEx: dependencies set to the BepInEx Pack, or Nautilus and other 2.0 only mods
- Legacy: dependencies set to QModManager, SMLHelper 2.15 or older, or other legacy only mods
- Mod contents
- BepInEx: should not contain a mod.json file
- Legacy: should always contain a mod.json file (exceptions apply to some plugins that work on legacy, e.g. SnapBuilder)
- Mod tags
- BepInEx: has the tag "Targets: Stable Branch"
- Legacy: has the tag "Targets: Legacy Branch"
Note: Some mods may indicate they are for BepInEx in their title and description, but have a Legacy version available in the Files tab, as you can see in the image below:
@narrow robin I have a problem, my game has been loading indefinitely for 20 minutes. How can I fix this?
Dude, you're just incredible, how do you know all this? Thanks again.
I do this daily, many have had this issue because of the silence mod
yeah
You must really love helping people, respect.
I do want people to play this game the way they want yeah
It's so great
Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?
He has been crafting for 30 minutes
What is it crafting?
It bugs with all the modded vehicles
Where can I find the logs?
https://imgur.com/sG8Qvln.png
Your BepInEx log file can be found in Subnautica/BepInEx or SubnauticaZero/BepInEx depending on the game you're trying to mod. Once you've found the log file, you can just drag it into Discord to send it.
Maybe the Nautilus update broke Vehicle Framework
Nautilus received an update just two days ago
With what vehicles have you tried?
And Mantis
Yeah
@subtle temple Have you tested Vehicle Framework with pre 31?
nope, this should probably brought to mikjaws atention
If you have the old version of Nautilus, I'm interested.
That way, I could help you determine the issue and find out if it originates from it
@silk tendon Apologies for calling you. Nautilus pre 31 seem to have broken Vehicle Framework
If you can/want to confirm that it is maybe not something else on your end, you can get pre29 from here: https://github.com/SubnauticaModding/Nautilus/releases/tag/1.0.0-pre.29
Thanks
So, should I stick with the old version then?
Up to you whether you want to have those vehicles now. Pre 31 does have a lot of bug fixes and improvements
Actually, I'm not sure. Honestly, no modded submarine is as good as the Cyclops.
And socknautica submarine is only on legacy
Does the Submodica website not work anymore?
#
Submodica is down
#
❗️Temporarily Submodica is down, so please be patient❗️
Due to Nyx leaving the server, there is no one hosting the website known as Submodica. Although it's sad there is a way to still obtain mods that were on the website, but it's not as easy.
## SOLUTION ## Everything that was on Submodica used Github, so to find a mod you would like to use search for it on Github.
There will be a temporary fix for all offsite mods, soon
The seal sub is on 2.0 and I tested it on pre.31 and it worked
Is the Sealsub available for download?
Yes. From their server. Invite in #🌍┃related-communities
Thanks, I know I might sound a bit dumb, but out of 10 videos, none of them have a valid link to their Discord. I'm getting a bit lost.
People usually send discord links, I’m surprised they didn’t
Really, none of the videos?
yeah
that the link
Anyway, at least the first 3 videos redirect to invalid links or to this Discord, which doesn't help much.
No idea why the link is invalid
Maybe someone forgot to stop it from expiring
Will tell the team now
In any case, the mod looks really great. Thank you for the work you put into mods like this one or ROTA
Oh, thanks!
Fixed. Install the latest Vehicle Framework
Thank you very much, I just have an issue with the Upgraded Vehicles (Purple Edition) mod, it's not working on Subnautica, I don't have the new upgrades.
I don't have the speed upgrades MK2-3 and 4, for example.
for the seamoth

and that mods....
As you can see there they are incompatible with SMLHelper, so if you want to use Nautilus requiring mods it is best to uninstall SMLHelper
I see you haven’t updated Nautilus yet
Fortunately, these are mods that are not bothersome to add in the middle of a game
No, why is it very important? If yes, I'll do it tonight at the same time as the vehicle framework.
Yes, many bug fixes
Okay, okay, I'll do it. Will it corrupt my current game?
Ok ok 👌
Are the lags in my inventory or that of my Seamoth normal with my mods?
And colliding with a fish deducts 24 HP from my Seamoth... I think I've modded the game too much.
The fish one-shot my Seamoth, WTF
Send your log
CyclopsSpeedUpgrades is incompatible with SealSub
Slot Extender is incompatible with Vehicle Framework
Okay, I'll remove the Vehicle Framework and all the other vehicles.
It's a shame about the Seal Sub, but I suppose the upgrades to the Cyclops will make it much better.
Do you think modifying this will fix the issue of lags and excessive collision damage?
I think the other incompatibility I mentioned will fix those
Sorry, it didn't fix either of the two issues
Well, it's only on my main save that I experience lag when I open the inventory...
You seem to have endless log spam with this error: Error : [Unity Log] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object Stack trace: GravTrapStorage.Patches.GravspherePatches.Postfix (Gravsphere __instance, UnityEngine.GameObject obj, System.Boolean& __result) (at :0) (wrapper dynamic-method) Gravsphere.DMD(Gravsphere,UnityEngine.GameObject) Gravsphere.ApplyGravitation () (at <9ec6c1b62c324758b9c2d79021505be6>:0) Gravsphere.FixedUpdate () (at <9ec6c1b62c324758b9c2d79021505be6>:0)
So, try without Grav Trap Storage
You can use Enhanced Grav Trap rather as it has incorporated that mod
