The real solution is to actually ban the griefers. Jmods did it for a few months and it was much better, but the main offenders just buy/make new accounts and keep doing it.
The problem is banning them is manual, and they don’t have the manpower to keep doing it.
Changing the game will not help. They will keep doing it, the same people have sabotaged for almost 15 years now.

I just played a few hours of castle wars and had a great time
It's too bad there's a lot of afker still but it's on both teams
I found the teams to be pretty even each time as saradomin and zammy pretty much traded wins
People were also cading fairly normally
Maybe I missed the time that these "clans" stack the teams?
They have to be careful about activity bar types of things because going afk at base into the enemy comes is a valid strategy
