I think to make homes more personable, we should be able to theme them. When you get to a certain level in a skill (say 75/80), you unlock the theme of that skill for your home. I think quite simply, once you reach the specified level, you're prompted to speak to your Skill Master, he congratulates you, gives you a scroll that you use at your carpenters table (add this table in the home workshop) in your home which then unlocks skill themed decor and furniture.
If you're skilling WC, this allows you to turn your home into a cosy, forrest themed cabin. You can be an overgrown forrester or a neat one. Your garden can be a forrest - mixed with hunter, you could have creatures in there too.
Prayer unlocks themes for different gods or simply unaligned chapel themes throughout. ect.
Each skill can be mix and matched, creating true player homes or even skill themed rooms.
Also, I think there should be a "minimalised" home feature, where you can build whatever you've unlocked in any room, also allowing players to create smaller, cosier homes.
