Cotton seeds from new sources

The current ways to get cotton seeds all suck, nobody really wants to salvage or kill sea birds for cotton seeds. I havent tried new ship combat out yet but i did a fair bit of it beforehand and went way over rate on rays and albatross for barbs and feathers (i killed over 100 of each and decided it wasnt worth my time or money grinding them out literally losing money every cannonball)

Just add cotton seeds to gryphons or aquanites or something that's coming out later so we arent stuck to ocean birds and salvaging please.
Maybe a hunter creature that is like pitfall trapping but just sucks for meat and hide but can give seeds, like deer or elk or even rabbits...

Heck you could get the old ferret and rabbit hole hunting method in the piscatoris area a rejuvenwtion by just adding cotton seeds as a semi uncommon drop from rabbits. Low xp activity providing just enough of the resource for people who may not want to get on the boat and salvage or cannon things a way to get some cotton seeds

I agree that cotton is pretty awful to get, and on top of that they made it a required secondary for the haemostatic dressing, which effectively just means the item is useless for ironmen, and it also doesn’t match the fact that those are made with bottom-tier coral
