Opt-in or not is not the issue

You have two problems, 1) if you want the slayer helm to benefit the task like any other task which would obviously be ridiculously unbalanced so thats an automatic no. so then 2) this can only be for exp purposes and thats just impossible to balance. in pvp you generally kill a very low number of players per hour and even that number varies wildly with where you pvp. so a kill would need to give a ton of exp for this be worthwhile at all at which point it would be abused by people

and honestly it just didnt fit thematically at all but thats subjective i guess
