XP in DMM was nullified at 99 probably specifically so that people didn't chase 200ms or hiscores

It would be nice to look back at previous Leagues etc. though.

why do they need to be kept though, outside of the point leaderboard, none of them mean anything

I didn't say there's no point, I said no one cares, which is true - no one is looking at your hiscores and thinking wooow this guy is rank 1 hespori in deadman mode... so cooool... i wanna compete for hiscores in a temporary gamemode too

there's nothing stopping you from hosting whatever competition you want, and it doesn't require jagex to continuously store the hiscores for every single event they do forever

what is stopping you from hosting your own competition? I'm not seeing anything that would prevent you from doing that, and if players were interested in competing over hiscore spots in a temporary gamemode, then they'd participate
