I just finished merchant salvaging, sailed to Sunbleak island to bank, banked my stuff, went back to to the salvaging spot to the south west at the bottom of the map, set my boat up, world hopped, got sent to Deepfin Point and it says my boat is docked at Sunbleak Island

players and boats have different save points, and rumor has it mooring points are different than docks

Ran into this issue a lot doing Fremmenik salvages. I docked at Brittle Island and each time I got afk logged I would be back at Lunar Isle with my boat at Brittle Island. When I eventually redocked my boat at Lunar Isle it stopped happening and AFKing worked fine.
It seems you should never dock at mooring points, only disembark otherwise it will home your boat to that island when you swap worlds or log off/on

This happens a lot to me as well, often when I'm going to the northern ocean for vampyre krakens...

The others are correct. Dock your boat at Deepfin and bank there, return to afk spot from there. Never bank on Mooring points and not followup with a port after, or logging out will revert your player to a port and boat to the mooring point currently. Hopefully this gets fixed.
