#Any other UIM feel demotivated by Sailing?

I don't feel the same way at all, Sailing has been amazing so far and other than the deep sea trawling, which is surely being looked at still, I feel like I can engage properly with everything, I've deathbanked twice since release just for the whirlpool keg and later upgrading the sloop, the rest has surprisingly UIM friendly

i think expecting the "no banking" mode to have incredibly large storages added is kind of.. interesting? like i dont play UIM because the restrictions on the mode are counter-fun (for me). but if you enjoy them, thats great. Why would you want UIM metas to start devolving to "stack up all these in 200 salvages because that banks XYZ resources for you".

#

crewmates and cargo mission stuff definitely needs tuning, and they seem to be aware of that

#

lots of the higher end salvage give more than just junk though, so while its not a "general" storage it can store a lot of resources.

ultimately (heh) i think this mode has a small community and decisions around it can just be brought to them with the polling improvements we recently saw, allowing feedback to be gained and if most people dont care to preserve integrity in that regard than hopefully jagex listens and changes it

#

i think thats a little bit of a strech comparison. you're saying "imagine if they added an item we literally couldn't get" because for salvage you have to deal with using your limited inventory in the limited inventory mode.

#

again though, i hope they use the poll/survey options in game to gather feedback from all the UIM players so that you all get what the majority wants for the mode

#

crew still gain you XP, no?

#

you have 2 hooks.

#

crew on one just boosts your XP, and the other you're on to get the loot + XP

#

Sloop can have 2 hooks

#

im not sure im following

#

it sounds like UIM would need to spend less time babysitting crew because they dont gain nearly as much benefit from cleaning while crew is salvaging on the hook they were on

#

so you can do the same method, but just clean your inventory as it fills, drop what u dont want, continue salvaging

#

does the 2nd hook crewmate stop on UIM because of cargo hold capacity? is that what im missing?

#

based on you deleting all the comments i assume you have been salvaging on a skiff?

When is Jagex going to ask for UIM feedback (second bullet in the above)?

#

Having an ironwood cargo hold only able to hold 9 items is kinda lame tbh, especially when salvaging. But, more than that, it only accepts 200 cannonballs and crew members will not take from inventory. This is extremely frustrating and makes ship combat unenjoyable in my experience.

yea i don't think there's any issue with ship storage being normal, personally. I don't see any metas developing based on what's in the salvage where it becomes any kind of issue. It's impossible to use crew to salvage right now because you have to babysit the cargo hold. plus what T3 said about cannonballs I think they whiffed the UIM version. The only thing that's even kind of helpful with reduced vs. normal cargo hold on UIM is that it can hold a bunch of repair kitt. I don't remember if they polled UIM specifically about if they want a small cargo hold, but I can't imagine any other players of the game mode are happy about it.

I'm just baffled at why they haven't gotten around to polling it, unless they have a vision of the game mode that completely ignores the people actually playing it

it feels obvious to me that the people most invested in whether there's more storage spaces added are the ones playing the restricted game mode in the first place

#

but then, like

it's undeniable that over the decade since uims showed up, tons and tons of new storable items have popped up and a number of new storage options have too

so why is this the one that they say no to for UIMs and not, say, tempoross' reward pool

Ship storage should be same as normal 100%. We dont have less looting bag space or other things and the cargo hold is basically an actual skill, needing it for fish and repair kits.
