I really like how Sailing is designed — the focus on the core mechanics makes everything feel fluid and genuinely ship-like. It’s different from walking in a good way.

But for long, stationary grinds like Salvaging, the gameplay can get a bit taxing over time. I was thinking maybe there could be a “more OSRS-core” mode for activities like Salvaging, where your crew stays assigned automatically and the boat becomes more click-to-move. Maybe you wouldn’t be able to go full speed in that mode to keep things balanced, but it could help make those longer grinds feel closer to the main game experience.

Just a thought! I feel like there’s room to make those location-bound activities a bit more fluid without losing the intended balance.

ps. there could also be a cannon mode or whatever but i haven't done a lot of that it just feels tedious playing an entire minigame in the menu during a long grind

They should add more boat-types so you are incentivized to build different ones.

If they add a combat-based boat like Galleons where you could have 1 NPC launch 3 cannons at once, that would be sick and help with the multi-shenanigans that happens during most deep seas bounties.

Right now, Rafts are still required for for some charting skinny rivers.

Skiffs are required for Barracuda Trials.

Sloops are bis for Salvaging.
