So unless there really is a mechanic about Port Tasks no one found out yet, their XP feel really lacking in comparison to salvaging and especially trials..
I had the most fun doing Port Tasks however ever since lvl 30 it's all about trials if you want atleast decent - good XP. Doing Port Tasks (I won't even start talking about Bounty Tasks..) feel so bad XP wise even with Lvl 80+ that they're really not worth doing at all in my opinion. While doing port tasks I'm always thinking how I could gain 2-3 times more XP just by spamming Trials which then feels like a time waste. (Yes for me it's more XP = more fun even if I dislike doing Trials)
They are not an option to train unless you prefer RC lvling speed. It's kinda sad that the only reliable way to train right now is spamming Trials all day if you want to get 99, which sucks if you don't like doing Trials all day
