Hi,
I noticed that pegasius crystal has the same drop rate as all the other crystals but is worth significantly less, at 130k.
I know this purely because of the high cost of ranger boots but would it possible to reconsider either its drop rate or change the ranger boots' stat pre-requisite so its not BiS for pures which makes it cost do much?
Its really demoralising to go 400kc in cerb and get a pegasius crystal. It makes the slayer task almost unprofitable.

Tbh they should probably rework pegasian boots or rangers to have base range damage. This would in effect boost the pegasian crystals value

You have more crystals coming in than you have rangers, this will always make the crystal less valued

Yes i understand but can we change something in the game to give it more value? If not, can we change the drop rate?

Pures are not the reason why ranger boots are expensive 🤔
And even with the low value of peg crystal, cerb is still a profitable boss. Every boss has high value and low value uniques, i dont see any reason to change this
If they would ever chose to change the aquirement process of ranger boots which would make more sense since especially on iron its quite a dumb grind, peg crystals would rise in value automatically

Yes, a 1/1,333 drop rate from a clue scroll as the only source to acquire it - is not healthy for the game

It's realistically not that different of a time investment than the other 2 slots.
Infinity Boots require investment in magic, then going through MTA
Dragon Boots require a hefty slayer grind
Then rangers come from 1/286 medium clues, which are doable at far lower stats
It's really just that mediums are slower than the the other methods once the requirements are met, but getting the requirements is far faster for most accounts.

I can understand the sentiment there definitely is people that can afford pegs but not threads. but they wont bother because its not worth buying pegs right now even for 5m

I would be down to just change where ranger boots drop or swap the ranger boot requirement for pegasians to a new pair of boots from somehwere else

How about allowing a certain number of crystals to be traded in for the ranger boots?

The issue stems from the issue that the devs left the best (at the time) in slot ranged boots in the game in the treasure trails where they should have never been in the first place, and now to take the ranger boots out would tank treasure trails value. either the devs should just make Cerberus drop omni-crystals, bite the bullet and remove ranger boots from clue scrolls to put them somewhere else, or doing what the last commenter said about just making them tradable for the full boots with 3-5 crystals.
