Is it safer to have both "security codes via email" and "security codes via Authenticator" both on, or is it safer to just have security codes via Authenticator on?

My reason for asking is because it seems that if someone gets into your email (hypothetically - even if you have a 2fa for your email) they could log into your Jagex account without needing to do a 2fa from your phone.

I'm trying to make my account as secure as possible and from what I can tell, having the "security codes via email" option seems like the biggest point of failure in my security.

youre absolutely correct. If someone gets into your email and you have 2fa by email they would be able to gain access. 2fa by app is safer just make sure you save your backup codes!

so long your email is completely secure it’s fine to leave on. If you rather not risk it you can disable it too

The email I use has a 2FA and is only used for a Jagex account
