Generally, items have their own purposes. You wouldn't want to e.g. combine all the jewellery together to make one piece that can be and do everything.
Part of the point of the Crafting skillcape is that you can teleport to the Crafting guild. If you want to teleport to the guild, you should expect to either need to hold the skillcape or wear it.
