#

that would not fix botting

#

botters would still just sell their gold and pay for membership with money

fierce holly
#

botters would actually benefit because there would be a bigger demand for gold from 3rd party websites

#

so they'd be making more money and thus investing in more bots

boreal temple
#

probably yeah

#

its 2025. being realistic. anti fraud card detection system and better botting ban detectors anyone??

#

btw we should definitely have bundle membership deals for jagex launcher alts

boreal temple
#

yes botting should be dealt with

#

not this way though, it wont help

tall nexus
#

#

why are bonds on the GE then? why do botters buy bonds??

#

sounds like you enjoy mtx too much

boreal temple
#

because its cheaper. if bonds are not on the GE anymore they will need to spend more money on membership. which means price for gold will go up but people will buy it all the same

lavish ether
#

this is a bad suggestion because the fundamental point of bonds is to make money for jagex

tall nexus
#

people would pay membership anyway tho?

lavish ether
#

"why do botters buy bonds" how do you know this

tall nexus
#

why advocate for alternative buying gp methods and fraud cards to get membership to bot then to counter my suggestion?

lavish ether
#

"bonds should be removed from the game" is a reasonable view, "and sold at fixed rates in a new bond shop" is not

tall nexus
#

you act like buying membership on debit is thee only way to things when its not. even if im guessing hmmm maybe they might be using bonds.. How do You know they arent???

#

explain how rs2 never had bonds too. times change. unnecessary mtx

lavish ether
#

i'm not even arguing against removing bonds from the game, i'm saying that giving membership in exchange for deleting an arbitrary amount of gold is not a viable business model

slender scaffold
#

is there a reasoning behind the 200-300M number or did you just pick an arbitrarily high number so nobody would buy them because you want to remove bonds entirely?

#

I doubt they have grand exchange history beyond a certain amount of items to give back the original gp value, and where do you think this gp would be coming from? out of players pockets? you can't just pump gold into the game expecting the value to stay the same, the gold that was given to the bond seller has been used / transferred through different hands, are you expecting them to trace that back too to take the gold away from those players?
