If they have you added (maybe) or you have at least a star rank in the friend/clan chat, I don't see the real harm, especially if it was a permanent mute from at least a year ago. Gl 🙊🙊🙊

I think most things you could get permanently muted for should either be temp mutes or flat out bans

I'm not gonna agree with you, but I was muted recently and the only issue was there's no way to communicate that fact outside discord.

I used to go w2 and just communicate in emotes as not to reveal myself and theyd think I was muted

Quick chat was goated back in the day. It was a native way to show xp and kc and stuff too, not just for muted players.

They should definitely bring it back so we don’t have to rely on runelite or having to learn the commands to show kc or pb times

The icon is even there for mobile users but it’s just to natively chat

Muted players are muted for a reason, you shouldn't be allowed to speak in game at all if you're saying something worthy of being muted. You might have been muted for something said in friends/clan chat so letting muted players speak in those chats defeats being muted in the first place.

If you want to talk, talk like a normal decent person and you wont get muted 🙂 probably wouldn't care to share the reason you were muted, do you?

yeah the most i would vote yes to would be quick chat after a time-gated appeal. i disagree that gamer words should be allowed in fc/cc just because some of the people there are fine with it

Damn there are some high horses.
Mutes should only prevent you from speaking publicly or in chats where you aren't known or trusted.
Imagine being muted in your own friends chat where you are the moderator, or a gold star in a friends clan coz you are trusted in that circle.

Gamer words are auto muted so not like being in a friends chat avoids that. Also can't people reform? Isn't a year mute long enough?

The disgusting thing about mutes for bots/scammers/gamblers is that they aren't perm muted, let alone real people. Think about that

This is not snark, I am asking why when you're already on discord and specifically want to talk with people you know, why you don't use discord where you aren't restricted.

What I don't appreciate is you trying to use people with disabilities to get benefits for yourself like this quick chat change so you can talk again.

I said the reason, not what it was you specifically said. Some things people get muted for I can agree shouldn't be perm muted for but there are other things that do deserve perm muting 🙂

Legit just having players as flagged so that for specific instances players can choose to manually unmute players so that they can still be useful in a scenario where vc isn’t an option and calling out is needed

By that extent everyone wins. Most people won’t have to see a perms messages but people who’d want to play with them in these situations can just do it themselves
