this is an interesting way to incentivize killing other pvpers as opposed to only ragging pvmers, but has a blind spot for killing bots, who would never opt in to the system. i would be interested to hear more opinions of people who pk or skill and pvm in wildy

True

#

Half the joy is disrupting bot farms

#

Could maybe add some kind of "suspected bad actor" flag to accounts that are farming in the wilderness

#

But you would need more robust anticheat

#

Maybe some kind of threshold where if you earn too much gold or have too many PvM kills in the wilderness you can be hunted for free

I dunno how frequently jagex does bot ban waves but just refund the points with maybe a small bonus when the bots get banned.

You all bring up a good point about the pvm and pve bots that are in the wilderness. I think within the revenant caves having a skull would be more dangerous as it would count as an honorable kill if you killing revs while skulled, which would by design make the revenant caves more active for pvp as well. With regards to the other content, It may be beneficial to not penalize pkers killing the pvmers by removing honor, as it should be an inherent risk to do the content within the wilderness.

#

However adding the bounties after killing unskulled/unflagged targets, gives pvpers a reason to pk in the wildy rather than pvp worlds

Also have to address the issue of somebody farming thier own alts for "honor"

Your suggestion is really confusing

#

Why would anyone flag them selves? This would lead to people farming alts to get the cosmetics/ranks

It would immediately lead to people just spam killing their alts for "honor"

The less honor a flagged account has or the more it's been killed the less it's worth

#

Acts like a self regulating Elo system

#

Can even set it so after x amount of kills in a row someone stops giving points and only loses them

#

So you'd need several dozen accounts to even boost and if the alts are too far below your skill bracket you get barely anything for killing them

#

Think this is something important that OP left out, most games that use these types of systems for world or ranked PvP rely on this to prevent boosting past a certain amount

#

You'd effectively have to build a massive network of accounts and constantly pump in new ones to create your own mini pyramid scheme and that becomes more and more easy to detect if you're trying to boost to high levels
