Or actually, Make Firemaking Great for the first time ever.

My suggestion: Pyre bosses, have various bosses around Runescape drop their own version of "Mangled Bones" at whatever drop rate the devs see fit, allow us to use those Mangled Bones on a pyre to summon a spectral version of that boss, which would allow us a slightly enhanced roll at their normal drop table.

This would not only give extra incentive for people to grind various different bosses (any bosses that have Mangled Bones drops) and it would also give Firemaking some tangible uses. The harder the boss the higher the required Firemaking to make the pyre for it.

Having certain logs locked to certain bosses would be good too.

Discuss.

does the spectral version just melee you? are you thinking about god wars dungeon bosses?
are mangled bones tradeable?
where do you see us burning these pyres?
and why do you think giving better loot odds is fair for refighting the same boss?

Sounds like champion scrolls but more jank required

#

Would we burn the bones in the boss room? Outside? Anywhere in the game?

#

Only at the dark altar?

#

What does making them spectral provide?

#

Imo firemaking never should have been a skill but it was brought over from RS classic and just never changed

#

Something that could be interesting is if they made a forestry and fire making patch for varlamore part 3

#

Add a redwood forest area

#

And make it so we have to perform a controlled burn as a group activity

#

Using man made fires to stop a raging fire elemental in its path and to let the woods prosper

#

Irl redwoods and sequoias are some of if not the most flame resistant trees in the world and actually thrive from having small scale forest fires burning down other smaller trees and pines around them
