Good Afternoon,

Currently there is only 1 way to buy an ancient staff from an NPC and thats from Elbis from DT1.
Elbis will sell it to you for 80k after the quest for ONE TIME.
This is a ONE-TIME trade where it is not offered afterwards.

I' am proposing that other than killing wilderness content, 1/512 drop from mummies, and Thermy the 93 Slayer req monster.
There could be an NPC that sells it after DT2 / or it could be dropped by a monsters related to DT2, This would provide an additional incentive for Ironmen/UIMS.

Please let me know thoughts. I'm just on my Master clue step and frustrated about the process of obtaining an ancient staff.
(Yes, I'm a UIM) (This shouldn't dispute the fact that this update would make sense.)

The limit on Elbis was always kinda arbitrary and only really made sense near release when the only other source period was pyramid mummies

Even if the price were like doubled after the first buy it would still be fine

#

But 80k is still way above alch so it’s not really game-breaking in any way

Can't you use the stash f it's just an issue for clue scrolls?

There’s no stash, the clue step is just to have negative prayer bonus and talk to Abbot Langley

But also beyond clues I don’t have enough staffs to use the 15 quartz in my bank (not that I want to) and no easy way to get them

#

Ancient staff/scepter is currently the only way to do that clue step though, which is why this is pertinent for uim
