I will admit that looking at dps calc rn the gap is larger than I expected between eye and shadow at whisperer specifically but it's still less than 10%
whips is either just too tanky or has too much xp
Oh that's another aspect as well
i honestly kinda lucked out i spooned whisperer to a crazy degree
A lot of the fight is specials/reduced damage so that part is relatively 0 dps
When it's doing specials
So part of that fight is "hard" limited in speed
got the ring and the axe sub 200 kc and just abandoned ship immediately lol
well axe piece
I got siren staff at 38 and 138 kc
And then bellator vestige at 438
Which at the time was like 10% dps for me on duke
Compared to ultor
Duke pre changes gave stam pots and kebbits a fuckin use case lol
Double prep tech makes duke so free these days
I did 1k kills with 40-paste spam method and the other 500 for my eye of the duke with 1.5t 2pot method
tbh the only dt2 boss i actually had to do for real was vard
everything else i got out of pretty reasonably
made me work for the ultor though
I finished 2 sras on my main and duke was the worst in terms of rng and was before it got QoL
~1k axe head, 1241 ultor, levi lure and venator at 565, 438 bellator+2 staff piece (38/138), then 2 magus (~400 and ~700) then 1505 for eye of duke
6 virtus pieces, 3/2/1 mask/top/bot
Then recently got a third top during a bingo
From vard
0 pet
Speaking of which
Where tfrick is the ancient blood ornament kit in that clog
Put it in there, Jagex
Would ruin my 4 green logs š
Just go not-ranged and practice awakened leviathan in leagues
The other 3 are ez if you have experience at the boss
I have an alt Iām just to lazy to go do it lol
I bought 500 orbs at 450k each and they have gone down š
Oh no, putting in effort to get a collection log from challenging content!!! Gasp!!!
I think I got like 50 orbs or something on my iron
But I no longer have my tbow
I only used 10 on my iron after using like 30 practicing on DMM
And well never done it without a shadow at whisp
I regret not doing this lol
I even struggled using 3 orbs at grid master at whisp
I bought them for effectively 10k main game gp after swap rates
I was to busy pking people
It was really nice
Jagex should just do away with orbs and contracts
Make you sacrifice orbs to perm unlock the bosses
While most people would agree with you i very much doubt they will ever do this
That way they have some value
They technically got rid of parchments
For orbs is kinda impossible to do unless they modify uniques drop rate for awakened
Since is 10x more likely to hit the table
Itās 3x rate for much longer and harder fight
Remove orbs, give us cubes
3x*
You already got death cost for failure so why add on an entry key
There are some psychopaths who would do this day and night
Money awakened levis would be kinda fire even if unattainable for many players
Dont get me wrong im not against removing the orbs
They are nowadays kinda worthless drops
Barely add anything to the gp x hr
10,000 meat pie entry fee perm unlock
Also glamourer is killing any cosmetic they can make lol
They love pies in osrs
Not really
Glamourer doesnt change models. No amount of that plugin gets you a holy scythe or yama sra
It is a little wild that Jagex themselves, in this sequence:
-Designed orbs to actively discourage people from attempting challenging content
-Designed bosses/kill times/loot tables for awakened bosses that wouldn't even make them more worth your time to kill than non-awakened variants if you had complete, unlimited access
-Specifically said themselves, "we recognize we missed the mark with orbs - don't worry, we won't do this again with Yama contracts"
-Designed Yama contracts that are arguably worse since you barely get any from the boss, and the alternative is an atrociously bad form of menial labor that not even noobs would find worth doing, and is entirely reliant on initial release inflation
-Buffed rates for dossiers at the boss, but didn't fundamentally change the system in any way
-Still has Awakener orbs and Purifying sigil contracts in the game
Not using holy scythes color pallete for radiant was a weird choice
Its right fuckin there
Sanguine torva looks so bad xd
I don't want spires and ramparts on my armor
Thats great and all but just know when i see you in game. Its just reg virtus lol
I only like the helm
The helm is the worst piece
Nah glamourer has sync which shows to everyone using the plugin
Which honestly sanguine torva is really impressive
Because it's really hard to make something worse than the original torva
But they did
Itās above and beyond the animation swapper plugin
Because itās great?
Fashion?
I dont use it and wouldnt use it
Why would I want to look at something that isn't there
The freedom to design anything you want is wild
I dont use it so itll be reg virtus lol
Yeah I donāt have that plugin so imma just see plain virt
Not because I think of anything in particular about it, just that I like my real cosmetics
I did play around with the plugin but then I realized
I like sanguine torva but I like radiant moreso ngl
The game has a good graphic design and I don't want to mess with it
But thatās only what others see, why would you care what others think?
Turned it off very quickly
It's okay to just not like it
Shadow-themed virtus looks clean tho
I donāt care. Iām just saying Iāll see reg virt and thatās it
But I haven't been spooned a shadow so
Iām down for more legit cosmetics but Jagex only deems it fit for endgame
Wow ahahaha
Its like saying cosmetics dont matter because you use hdos or something
Thats not zamorak like at all
Everything about what I'm looking at looks bad to me
"Move the Dragon pickaxe upgrade kit to Petrified Pete's Shop at Volcanic Mine."
does it mean, the clog will be moved from LMS to Volcanic Mine, instead of removing it from clog entirely?
The HD, the color scheme
Good question
i would presume so
That certainly makes me not want to use that more but I can see the appeal
Honestly if anything, you showing me that just made me not want to use the plugin even more so that I can't see others' bad design choices
š
Yeah i dont wanna see everyother players fucking coloring book bullshit
And besides that point, glamourer doesnt adjust models or where certain "paint by numbers" areas are placed
I can see me using it to slightly adjust some really harsh colors on certain items to look a bit more in line with rest of game (when on 117hd) buts thats prob it
Animation swapper adjusts models to other things, glam just allows you to fix the colors
Both combined lets you have dif models and colors
Animation swapper adjusts things to other existing models
Anyway the main point being that these plugins don't "kill" actual cosmetics and designs because:
-Most players don't use them
-Most players care more about what they're actually using and even if they don't care about what others think, they recognize it's just not really what's there
You cant make a new model and put it in game yet
And the most minor of points, ornament kits help with death fees if the game keeps getting hard updates like doom this is pretty relavant, even if weird design
That new axe is like a decent reccomendation for using a sra as a free sol weapon with no death fee lol
But like other games like LOL or any fighting game, you could always mod shit in yourself and yet, people buy skins
It seems unfair to cloggers who spent all that time in LMS getting clogs to just delete the clog entries and force our rank down in an integrity update, jussayin'
Yeah they should really just add BH to the clog
collection log hunters who didnt do lms would then cry about it, only way is to add it to both
I did see an alternative which was to leave an untradeable variant in the LMS shop
Could make it work like DMM kits where you consume it and then can freely apply the cosmetic to future items
I see random streamers now counts as developer news
"Developer news" is for stuff hosted or posted by the developers such as events and stuff that doesn't affect game content
i mean man it was unfair to us singles pkers that they deleted singles+ overnight, but the team just clearly has no idea what theyre doing when it comes to pvp updates so we just gotta deal w/ it
PVP would be better if they didn't do anything
TRUE
??? what version are you using
I might of been wrong about that. i thought it was finished XD
It's probably never getting full sync with everyone using the plugin
ahh its still a great plugin.
I was big lover of animation swaper, but the ability to edit colors is insane
I don't think glamourer will ever come close to making jagex designed cosmetics obsolete. It does hopefully inspire them to do more creative model editing and fewer pure recolors
Thats still a W
The dev has said the infrastructure needed to have sync with all players work would require the plugin to become a job fueled by donations
It probably would require a different server to track it all, similar to star miners but 1000x the data, since it would need to check for the player, load each players config for you, etc.
Itās any bug with Trouver System Rework? Always after dead killed in pvp in wilderness always have to use again the Trouver Parchment for void equipment plus 500k for each. I lost millions by now
Its said one time needs to be used but it not true
Even for fire cape I need to pay Trouver Parchment plus 500 k gold each time I die
that wasn't an update blogpost my man it hasn't happened yet
Oh so their planing too
yeah
Thanks
unknown how long it'll be, or if they'll change anything about it from the post
I have a question about the new proposed trouver system.
It says that we'll only need to parchment our items once, and it stays forever. It also said that on death, the higher-tier items (infernal cape, quiver, etc) will be "mangled" above 20 wilderness, but isn't that negated with a (now permanent) parchment? So it will be impossible to lose these items no matter how many times you die in the wildy? So you can freely risk infernal cape, fighter torso, avernic defender, full void, rune pouch, quiver, and not lose a single GP on death?
If that's NOT the case and those items are instead "mangled", then what was the point of locking them in the first place?
I believe the intent is that the parchment single use permanently unlocks the ability to become mangled
If you don't parch it you will just lose it
Anything that doesn't mangle and currently breaks will break below 20 and mangle above 20
And anything that doesn't have a fee at all right now and/or parchment just gets freely protected
Mangled is the broken mechanic on trouver parchment. If you die to other player in deep wilderness you have to pay 500k repair fee to use the item again
the language of the blog post seems to suggest that you will never lose them
even if unlocked
Yes you will still need to pay to repair it after death to equip/use it. Just do not need to use new trouver parchment on it
I do not read it that way
" The general rule of thumb here is that untradeables with no Combat benefits should never be lost on death, untradeables with some Combat bonuses will break and need repairing without a Trouver parchment, untradeables with strong Combat bonuses will need to be 'Trouvered' once, then never again."
Yes, and they listed specifically those "higher tier" untradeables that will still need parchments
so you can still lose them if they havent been parched before
For these specifically, if you lose them above 20 without a parchment ever being applied, you will lose them
ok, i see
The ones that dont need parchment even in deep wildy are stuff like fire cape which are listed in blog. Those have their own repair fees.
When it has been applied, you repair for current fees at 20 and below, and then above 20 it gets "mangled" for 500k repair, then goes back to being parched
so fire cape-type items will never need to be parchmented at all and are safe?
but will have to be repaired as normal
These items specifically will not need a parch above 20 to retain their current repair fee
It will be the same above 20 as it currently is dying with it below 20
Non-combat items (e.g. graceful):
- Always safe at every wildy level
- No parchment required
Lower-tier combat items (fire cape, assembler, etc):
- Will break regardless of wilderness level but will never be lost
- No parchment required
Higher-tier combat items (infernal cape, quiver):
- Mangled above 20 wildy
- Broken below 20 wildy
- Lost above 20 wildy if it has never been parchmented
- Will always be kept (mangled or broken) if it has been parchmented (only needs to be done once)
thanks
The funny part is avernic defender is listed at low tier items because it already has 600k repair fee
???? Avernic and dragon defenders
Also r ma2 capes gna be cheaper or what
With repair
Iām still confused about their reasoning when it comes to the parchment stuff as far as not just implementing repair fees straight up and not even having the parchment in the first place
They mentioned it in the blog, something about gold generation
Seems like they know it shouldāve been like that to begin with but are worried about an honestly small amount of gp being added to the game relative to other dumb stuff they do
Presumably because the first drop is āfreeā gp
It honestly seems like a pretty crazy concern when they regularly drop alchs from stuff for free
They should just tune how much each item is actually worth to repair and on death
And tbh they donāt even exactly need to even go for the repair route with many of the items
Like if perdue just sells the item back to you
Probably donāt need a repair
Ye confused about ma2 capes u buy em for 250k anyway
basically there would be "high" tier items that players could abuse to gain 500k gp if there was no parchment to apply on them. like ancient sceptre would add 450k value on icon + quartz
Ye I just feel like the one off parch should be consistent
Instead of having to check the wiki to see if I keep the item
Then being worried I read the wrong article etc
avernic itself already has higher repair cost without parchment so i think that is why they didnt add it to parchment list
Fire cape for +4 str 150k or whatever might be a rag set play
Should be 1m at least anyway tho
Donāt see why the donāt turn recurring parchments into a gold sink
Also making void like 1/3rd thr cost is kinda insane
this is why they should be sane about it instead
the whole problem is because they're trying to generalize everything instead of picking an appropriate value based on each item
basically they dont seem to want to actually handle each item so its holding them back from doing the correct thing
and they're trying to compromise with the fact that they dont want to work on it lmao
people probably shouldn't really support them doing that
Make everything thatās decent 1m (void, infernal, defender)
Maybe 1.5m
Void is alrdy rly good for the price
yeah i dont even think they're worried about those items for the most part
i think they're scared of something really stupid like
people generating tons of gp because some item they want to award 500k for actually not being worth 500k at all and theres some method of gathering tons of them
and converting directly to gp
which is why they really need to stop and use their brains on this one instead of making everything the same with restrictions that they know the game would be better off without
looking at their list though i think what we're worried about is probably torso and rune pouch
but im not sure those are actual problems
I died with full void , avernic, inferno cape and cost me again 1.5 mil per piece, before the ongoing update . Why, because i had to pay again Trouver Parchment and 500,000 GP to Perdu , which cost me for that lost 9 mil for 6 pieces
tbh i think they might just be more cautious than it makes sense to be
This is what I lost every time I die in wilderness above level 20 with this gear .
9 mil
just kinda glancing over how fast you can get torsos or pouches as well as the other stuff it just doesn't seem like it would be a very good way to get gp
you'd generate more gold by just slapping revs or whatever easily
and if they're honestly that worried about first time gp generation or whatever
even though it kind of looks like a bit of a meme
why not just let people talk to perdu and spend the money to lock their items without a parchment in the first place
i can think of one reason even though they didnt say it out loud but it sorta looks like this is just them trying to protect wilderness slayer gp drop
would people support a melee equiment rebalancing? Seems odd that we have the bis melee gar coming from a mid game boss (yama) and tob dropping almost useless melee gear
or is it too far gone now?
if the Trouver Parchment updates pass, can you still unlock locked items with Perdu to reobtain the parchment?
Yeah I think one concern thatās still going to exist is that weāre still going to see billybob that doesnāt know better dying for full void teleporting to KBD without knowing what a parchment is.
In an ideal world, we'd do away with Trouver Parchments entirely, but it's not safe for us to take this approach without risking more raw GP generation than we're comfortable with.
I donāt think the issue is really present at all, unless theyāre just talking about a one-time GP generation from the parchments themselves existing, if they were to replace it with GE value or something. All of the items listed in the āhigh-tierā section take significantly long enough to obtain that they would never reasonably be used for gold generation when you can just go do literally anything else
I assume you mean for the ālow-tierā breakable items, since the high-tier ones would still need to have that one parch applied.
I was also curious about that tbh, what would happen to an existing parchmented defender or torso
like the easiest solution for the 1 time gp value abuse would be for the high tier items to need to be used on perdu for the fix cost once before they are protected in deep wildy, assuming you even need it. DT2 bosses would get indirect boost to drop table value from it but nothing else really becomes gp source
ya i think they're being too scared to make a good change over something that in the grand scheme of things will be very minor
Yeah i just dont see how this is relevant unless they mean youll need to get new parchements as the source of repair
Long term. The first death "not generating gp" is a literal drop in the bucket
And if the repair costs the same gp, its net 0 anyways unless the victim never ever repairs
Hey guys. Just had a question and canāt find any answers on google .
Iām playing mobile and since the latest update I havenāt been able to trade Justine at LMS. Only examine, and just noticed now I canāt loot my gravestone , same thing only examine . Any help or answers is greatly appreciated
this is why i dont understand why they didnt just remove the parchments and let you use the items on perdu once
to just pay the first fee
then never again for existing stuff
since it would just be in the state to be repaired after that
seems like it would just sidestep any weird stuff
that + a warning letting you know that you didn't talk to perdu yet for any unprotected items should be good enough id think
honestly, idek that the first fee is needed, every repair is a net 0
yeah but its just a way to step around the nonsense if they're really worried about it
its really more of a demonstration of like
basically how their conclusion of just removing parchment isn't something that they can do is nonsense
they could easily have perdu protect things like you had a parchment at all times for a fee and just delete the item itself
i haven't seen the code first hand but lol
perdu already does it when you give him the item and the parchment it should be relatively simple to just remove the parchment from the equation
This would mean they have to code the protection into perdu and ensure it works wile maintaining his current use. It's not that easy. It's simpler to have an item coded for each functionality.
He does one function, if they add the code from the parchment it's not a 1 to 1 swapover.
What I'm trying to explain is it's more than likely easier not to break things when the code is separated between the npc and the scroll, regarding permanent unlock functionality vs. one time use on items on the npc.
i'd be surprised if it isn't a built in function of the npc rather than the item
otherwise why would perdu be used at all in the process
granted maybe someone just thought he was cool somehow but
idk
probably works like any other npc that asks you for xyz and gives you back something else
Perdu has multiple functions, the scroll has one. What I'm trying to portray is changing perdu is harder than changing the scroll in terms of coding.
yeah but they're changing perdu since perdu is likely the source of everything going on already
the parchment is probably an item with nothing besides an id more or less
Right, but the fix they supposedly can make right now is on the scroll, it's a bandaid until they can figure out what's making perdu not capture that same function.
The scroll triggers the function to happen on perdu, but they haven't been able to isolate why perdu can't trigger the function without the scroll being required.
where did they say this
(I'm assuming.) No one other than the ones looking or working with the code would know.
i'd be shocked if they couldn't figure that out
I didn't say they couldn't, I said for now they are making a temporary fix until they can.
they probably just had other reasons they didnt want to say out loud like wanting to keep wilderness slayer creatures more profitable
or the thought just didn't occur to them
^
@winter hearth pls tell ur bubbas to add the left click bone bury option that was introduced first in the new player blog. -hank
They delay it a week every time you ping a jmod and ask for it
At least that's what I hope they do
i stand in solidarity with Hank.
Gonna be hilarious when the first 1 prayer pure buries bones on accident
Surely they do a "Bury the bones?" "Yes/No/Yes, and don't ask again"
Surely they learned their lesson from doing that at Obor/Bryophyta
i feel like it shouldn't cost 100 gp to unnote things for the cannonball furnace im ngl
why are they so desperate for that activity to suck somehow lol
Presumably the intent is to make it so that it's not worth making low-tier cannonballs there
But then the question is why
yeah like "oh no what if people make cannonballs that suck"
is kind of a crazy concern
Because the alternative is making high-tier cannonballs which are even less worth making xd
maybe if they specifically were worried about steel they could just make it not work for steel honestly
Which would entirely defeat the entire purpose of the furnace
Because nobody is ever making an addy or rune cannonball
it would be fine if it was a little weird about steel since realistically you shouldn't be firing those on a ship
And you can buy mith cannonballs
If you polled the cannonball furnace as the "cannonballs, but not the ones you actually care about making" furnace it would fail dramatically in polls
yeah but its clearly meant for cannons on ships not the cannon on land
and if they then found out nobody would make stuff there anyways
And yet they made it so that you would never make a cannonball for cannons on ships in your entire life
they could face the music and realize
hey maybe making 4 cannonballs isn't enough
which is coming
its just interesting to see how long it takes to get there
they've got kind of an insane outlook on things
they're like deathly afraid of someone actually skilling to create their resources lol
and keep trying to solve for situations where you use a shop or npc drops
I kinda get it, a common complaint in rs3 is that thereās a bunch of skilling chores you have to do before you can pvm
And itās not fun
That doesnāt mean I wouldnāt love some good skilling activities that are actually worth doing
Idk. If you want like 100k cannonballs for slayer on an ironman. 2.5mil doesnt seem awful from the perspective that theres already not a ton for irons to blow gp on in the end game anyways
Dont think i make cannon balls ever, i kill things that drop them.
in time it takes to get 2k c balls you can kill corp and get a drop or kill venenatis/vetion
C ball crafting is painfully slow and bad
Yeah Iāve never made them either and currently got about a 40k stack. Havnt even started corp yet
I just went under 100k cballs on my iron going for imbued heart yesterday
I would absolutely spend 2.5m to make another 100k faster
I mean usually they donāt
Because itās awful
Iāve been āgrinding for the heartā for like 4 years now
I can barely stomach doing it here and there every once in a while
Iām at like 27.5m rn
ye 35 total for me
Iāve been āover itā with slayer for like 25m slayer xp or more
calced it to be like 3.5x rate
15m of that slayer xp or more is from slayer bosses/vw grind/things you kill on task that donāt have superiors and TD/gorillas/etc. unfortunately
So not even eligible
Turns out that going dry on hydra and cerb is a lot of xp
Yall tell me if im not shadowbanned
I lost cuz mf hit 3 30 barrages b3b with rcb and Karils on
off to #pvp-discussion
shoo
im happy for you or im sorry that happened
anyways
My friend has been doing tural skipping everyday for over half the year now
Think this was jis last check in
and that was 6 days ago lol
He ran out of cballs months ago and didnt make more, just continued with ven bow and barrage smoke devils
Yeah hes like 10% further than i was seems like
Crazy, i only got 2 gems
But god without cannon that just sucks
long is dead the mentality of "i have to do this in order to do that"
modern irons are just ex-med level mains that want to larp as old gen irons
Its like actually free tho essentially
I guess you get a scythe etc and scar ess blood runes or souls for shadow but
yup, they are moving away from boss item exclusive-chargeable content now
just look at ayak and shadow have rune-charge options
i remember when irons were complaining about zulrah scales lmao
š¤·
All powered staffs use runes......
Imo ayak should have used runes and sunfire splinters and never even made the new demon tears
Sunfire splinters got shafted so hard
yea demon tears seem kinda whatever, if they made it use sunfire splinters + runes and then had doom drop sunfire splinters and you used the splinters to make boots ect
They got sunfire splinters and they got no uses...... outside of making a imbued quiver
oh and i guess ralos charges that no1 uses lol
Never wonāt be funny that the devs wanted a nerfed version of the current ralos in game
Instead of giving it two places itās good at, they only wanted it to be one š
Hey man hypothetically one day itll be the bis def drain spec for SAILING only because you cant hammer something off the side of yee boat
remember when swamp, serp helm, and bp were meta
it wasn't just runes always
that's my point
Tbh fuck zulrah and fuck making that the chore we gotta do lolol

zulrah is sooo easy to get to nowadays and for irons is just sooo goood
the antidote drop is soo good for other content
before you have high herblore
Yeah i just personally dislike the boss for purely emotional reasons
i could be saying that, double death pet at 65kc back in 2017
at 6200kc no other pet
its like the only realistic way to get antidotes tbh
If you had unlimited magic seeds
And uh
Also spent the time it takes to cut all 48 of those magic logs
Which, coming from someone who has 1.5ted their farmed trees before... is not great
is like sanfews
so boring trying to get all the stuff for just a few sanfews
and only monsters that drop it are some wildy and nightmare/pnm
I do believe we should have Antivenom drops
do you guys think we'll get an oathplate type of armour for stab?
Mixed hide 2
Torva 2 electric boogaloo
I can dig it
Eventually, but it will basically kill off Torva as having any value at all
It's currently only used for helmet slot or if you're stabbing something
im honestly shocked inq has somehow not been powercrept yet
like allll this bs and it still has like an extra max over stuff i think
Another question, why did they make it so make dragon keels or large dragon keels you need to do it in the ancient cave?
feels kinda annoying to do when the other resources dont need that
its jagex tbh
They've made a lot of "thematic" decisions that just don't really make sense
dragon keel parts are incredibly dumb imo but its also like redditors do have a fundamental misunderstanding of dragon equipment lore
like ur telling me the dragon people had boats
i would have been ok if they made it in a small volcanic island
but the ancient cave seems out of place
specially cuz the bank is not that close, you gotta go over 4 times for just a boat
- i dont think this is a reddit thing
- the dragon forge is where you smith various other dragon items
- but it also wouldnt be unreasonable for it to not use the forge - you make the sq shield at an anvil, a dwarf repairs the pickaxe for you, otto, repairs the dragon hasta, so its not super consistent as it is
- i dont really see the issue with needing to run there a few times, its not like you have to regularly go there
- frost dragons and strykewyrms only drop dragon metal sheets and nails, which is not unrealistic for the dragonkin to have had, so it's not like the dragonkin were the ones making keel parts
i mean dragon originally was not meant to be related to the dragons just an alloy
yeah they spell it with k`s in the wiki
Orikalkum, known to adventurers by the name dragon, is a strong, red metal. While not being an ore that is minable or smeltable (although reforgable and repairable) by the player, dragon equipment is still considered as the next level up from rune and thus is included in the metals category. Dragon items typically require level 60 in their respe...
is just an incovinience if you want to boost, and to be completely honest is the only part of sailing stuff that requires those specific annoying steps
sounds like skyrim ore
everything else can be done in an anvil or a port
wiki/Orichalcum_Ore_(Skyrim)
maybe thats why lol
Itās very good they would have to make torva 2
After their rework itās very slightly better scaling wise than oathplate
Pls add anti venom & 1 extra restore to the lms invy kit ty
venenatis
While it is an ore in Skyrim, itās also a generic fantasy mineral present in many fantasy books and games etc.
Inq set would be like half a bil if you used crush anywhere
Its such a meme to invest in inq before every single pvm update
I suspect crush raid for raids 4
tbf it probably wouldn't cost that much because i imagine once it has a real use
people will actually do the boss that drops it
You are probably right turkey. But i could see the boss stabilizing around 8-9m an hour with the set chilling around 350ish. The helmet has the most to gain from a raid as a lot of crush bosses happen to be slayer tasks.
Noxious is absolutely broken in LMS lol
Half the fights by end are catch freeze and halberd, wait for venom, and just don't step back out
Whoever catches most freezes gets free win
An ant venom in place of a brew would do numbers
Or just make it not venom?
They prob just need to add an anti-venom +
this is first time they added a venom wep to LMS lol
they could just change it to only poison or not even apply status effect in lms
Not worth doing that, because it has risk it could mess up the active game code
way easier to just add a anti-venom +
One less food for anti venom is both "closer to real pvp" and also speeds up fights
Just add anti venom & an extra restore ty
But also shit like an rcb vs default tank set is ass
Dragon is closer to "real scenario" cheap dps weapon
Zcb, knives, or BofA as the upgrade
Yea youāre not in barrows max w/o dcb. Itās a nothing burger bc rng in Lms is broken atm, bolting 30ās on tank with rcb consistently isnāt real lol
I like their ideas but they were not fully thought out or like tested in a game lol
By ideas i mean like the goal they say they have
I have 0 issue with a minigame that gives low skill players or bots 1 mil an hour. From a botting perspective it just simply does not affect the economy as a bot could do anything else for 1 mil an hour. And if its such an issue for suicide bots, raise the requirements a little bit to where bots do some other activity
thats kind of a bad way to view bots
zerker lms you just atlatl enemy through prot range and still outdps anyway
since realistically they should be correcting every low effort suicide bot method
they're basically an automated process to let jagex know when their game balance failed
because they'll just bomb the easiest thing they can do that gives them too much reward for no input
eventually jagex would start to squeeze them if they went through the process for each method they came up with and cause them to need to invest more time in the accounts to get anything done
giving them longer to ban them
basically the only effective measure against bot farms is reducing their efficiency until the people in real life aren't making enough money to justify what they're doing
since they'll never just eliminate them with better detection
every moneymaker behind 1.5k total level requirement to punish normal players on new account to keep bots away
tbf if you're like 1200 total
you dont need 1m/hr for anything
a normal person has plenty of questing and account progression to get to at that point that doesn't really require tons of gp or great money methods
the game for them is usually about unlocking methods that actually are good rather than finding like
some way to overload lms with a bunch of accounts you've been preparing because it totals up to a ton of gp without much investment
I mean are we even disagreeing?
I would be down for higher reqs to get into lms. But 1m an hour has such a drastically huge amount of activities that accomplish that goal for suicide bots. Idc if normal players are generating 1m an hour to throw them a bone in lms, and for any minigame that bots hurt the gameplay loop of higher requirements kinda make it a weird choice to go bot there over like a lot of processing "activities"
Like if soul wars, castle wars, and lms all required some crazy like 80 slayer, 1500 total, x amount of qp (i dont necessarily want this) them generating less alchables or supplies than other things youd wanna do at those levels is fine imo
in general, reqs are good
no reqs = shit gets botted 10x harder.
Imagine CG without a long questline + 10 70s
If you don't have reqs, work towards it
I agree
And "iron integrity" of not getting rune arrows at level 3 is also kinda solved eith higher reqs
(a non-issue imo but ya know)
I mean. Terminator bots are worse than the afk bots
They get banned in <24h tho
Source?
And like which month are we talking because jagex is hella up and down, and like... They come back
That one is from personally playing a lot of lms (13k rank) and looking up the 1t bots, they always have <1k rank, normally <800
The afk ones go a long time with no bans tho
Terminators probably get reported wayyyy more ill agree
Yh and they can easily detect it
But wouldnt higher reqs mean the style of bot thats banned faster is less prevalent
Yeah but there havenāt been many of them at all recently, but thereās plenty of afk bots. And the afking is the only difference between lms and bh
So Iām assuming they struggle to detect afk bots
Bcos terminator bh bots would be easy and kinda cringe
Yeah its probably super hard cuz real ironmen do actually afk lms
Ye but when they get into a fight theyāre doing dmg at least
If u get into a fight with afk bot they just auto retaliate
#1486729469233467572 message
I did a bit of a write up here but if we consider that theyāre aware op bh scripts will be made that implies the issue is afk detection since itās the only diff
If it is then why not target the afking directly
Ill try to read that in a sec. I think lms, emirs (if fixed), bh, and soul wars should throw losers a bone to make it worth their while. Idk how to make a point system that isnt ass
Yeah good write up. Irons wont have the patience for 72hour queued points. Maybe thats only for first cash in ever idk?
Ye true, was just some suggestions, but basically I think itās incredibly obvious bh scripts will b made so why do they wanna go ahead with it anyway? Only reason I can think of is afk bots are the problem
Bcos bh scripts will be so harmful
So surely itās a huge problem
Donāt soul wars, LMS, and emirs already give you reward points even on a loss?
LMS can still give you points if you donāt win, you just need to progress at least some
(Top x players or points per kill)
Just not if lose your first fight
Yeah but thatās very little time invested
If you gave 1 point for instant loss that could be its own meta to just unequip everything and die fast
If the botting problem was solved better than it is, id be fine with a point should you hit x amount of damage in lms
The way to solve botting would such drastic matters that even real players would quit. Battlefield 6 requires players to change their BIOS boot settings so their anti-cheat can detect cheaters and there still is cheaters but not too much. If that was introduced to osrs, imagine the falador riots
Underestimate how addicted we are, nobody quitting
Drastic measures like banning gold buyers and staffing enough customer service to actually manually review people screeching into the void
Botting is a complex topic, because its not easy to control. esp as technology advances. the point is that the people fighting botting has a lot less on the line than the people trying to bot, majority of people botting have created livelyhoods and jobs around it.
while jagex doesnt really gain much from removing bots.
tbf the number of us that actually wouldn't quit if the game got on our nerves enough probably aren't a huge number
although that bios thing specifically would actually carve out a nice chunk of osrs players
Bots pissed me off, but i didnt quit, i instead made an ironman were botting has no impact on me.
game runs on anything but those bios settings do not exist on just anything
would probably immediately have made a ton of players incapable of playing even if they wanted to lol
basically older hardware doesn't support tpm in the first place so you cant turn it on lol
I freaking hate vangaurds with good gear....
The bios thing for bf was actually dumb
i mean it makes sense for almost any pc that can run that game to begin with that you'd be happy to be playing on
but the part where a whole bunch of people had to take a second to learn to enable some stuff was dangerous just because you know many people will pull up and just like
start doing random shit lol
mood
Needing players to manually fiddle with their BIOS settings is obviously too much but I don't think kernel level anti cheat would put a noticeable dent in the player count, seeing as pretty much every single popular online game uses it nowadays.
I don't even know what people mean when they talk about bios relating to anti-cheat
tpm 2.0
I just read the chat but understood it as players had to change their BIOS settings manually to play Battlefield
secure boot as well
basically big tldr is that its hardware on mostly modern motherboards that can be used to secure data and prevent things like ransomware
How does that relate to anti-cheat?
basically it can create a secure set of data about your exact hardware so they can detect changes and just ban you on a hardware level even or prevent you from running changes during boot because the anticheat is protected
like if jagex were to integrate some sort of anticheat with tpm 2.0 and require it for playing the game
they could identify that you cheated with your pc and just ban that pc and any account that ever tries to use it
Damn
like it obviously doesn't just completely prevent cheating but it does make it harder
Can you circumvent this by using a virtual machine?
im not sure actually i haven't ever tried to figure out how people try and avoid those anticheat systems
Fair enough.
i know its possible but idk exactly what they do
I'm sure the people implementing this stuff have thought about this
like i know you could spoof hardware ids or do a bunch of stuff if you were to directly target memory with external hardware while you play
but idk it raises the bar on just cheating in those games by a lot
it starts getting closer to how someone would hack their own gaming consoles
It would probably make it much harder to run su**de bots
ya it would likely hurt the more low tech bot farms
at least for awhile
honestly the biggest problem for anyone that wants to make really good anticheat built right in is that its incredibly invasive and people dont like that
I found this list of games with kernel level anti-cheat, and it includes like every popular game.
https://levvvel.com/games-with-kernel-level-anti-cheat-software/
While it doesn't feel good, I think it's probably inevitable if Jagex ever wants to seriously get a grip on botting.
But I know they've stated an intention not to do this.
im pretty sure they actually talked about it at some point and basically presented as them not wanting to invade your privacy
yeah
but yeah its more or less a never ending battle and they kind of just stopped running part of the race lol
Yeah so we're gonna be stuck in the state where they ban millions of bots and delete trillions of gp every year
Which don't get me wrong they are doing a great job, but the bots still affect the game while they are active.
i think their antibot stuff is probably going to have to explore more in game changes that make sense
stuff like how they're gonna adjust lms is like years late
they need to catch on to that kind of thing and react immediately
and hopefully just have better game design so people can't just spawn in and kind of just do something with little to no reqs for enough profit that its worth creating huge farms
like lms basically has a time delay but thats really easy for the farms to setup
I have to say the worst thing about the rev caves game jam proposal was the attitude of "yeah bots will be there, we'll ban them eventually so please go pk them in the mean time"
yeah stuff like that is what makes me think the jmods run the bot farms lmao
It basically legitimizes wildy clans running their own bot farms and laundering the gp by pking š„“
hardware ban would be a godsend
Fuck kernel level anything for gaming
Not a solution nor is it the best path forward to solve botting
cant wait to get falsely hardware id banned
not to beat a dead horse but in regards to the kernel level anti cheat discussion all it does is move the fencepost
people who want to cheat will cheat
even the most invasive kernel anti cheat cant stop cheaters
ahem vanguard
thats why i prefer alternative solutions to botting
HWID bans are one of many solutions but not without its own drawbacks
but that would be a nightmare to properly maintain and if you get banned wrongly you cant play on any of your other accs till you go through the infamous appeal process
the bots are only going to get smarter and new botting methods including AI or the rumored colour botting which ive heard about makes it even harder for jagex
but there are only so many ways for these farms to pass money to the players
thats why improving detections for gold laundered to other players who bought said gold should be a priority
at least imo
istg I'll get 99 slayer before I have enough plates to upgrade my sloop's keel.
yeah for sure
to be honest you only need one dragon keel and is your combat boat
yeah thank god for that š
with bmr probably best to stack food
hey fellas, I was wondering, with the new untradables system for pvp, does the ectoplasmator now fall under the category of "always kept on death"? was wondering whether or not it would be worth grinding for it for my future rev runs
well it's untradeable yeah
and it's not one of the items that can currently be locked
4 days later formatting is still goofed on news post
increase my membs price again please
lol i dont really think a typo in a news post has anything to do with the guys that increased prices
pst ^
Can they like
Put a shortcut to the Reveals section at the top of this Leagues post
if you mean the big league blogpost, there is
might be a browser issue
it's this weird little top bar thing that scrolls with the page
It appears to only show up if I scroll down
it's there for me on first page load, disappears if you scroll up
Interesting
it jumpscared me 'cause i don't know i've ever seen them do this for a blogpost before
Maybe I just didn't notice it, then when I went to look for it it went away because I scrolled to the top looking for it
perhaps the ancient website spaghetti got unraveled a little bit
@brisk hill
It's interesting to me that there have been no more updates to the FAQ seciton. I guess we just finished the weekend but I'm sure there are some questions that will be answer in following reveals and some questions that they probably won't answer
It would also be nice if we could just read a changelog for the blog, rather than having to watch a video or spot the difference on the relics for each new reveal
tbh
i dont want to do them dirty like this but honestly that whole blog should just be a single discord link to the league discord
lol that discord does a wayyyy better job
cba to interact with that discord
I went in there once but I don't really care for it
i mean like a way better job because the jmods actually reply to questions occasionally in there and actually provide like
explanations for how stuff works or how the math handles stuff when its ambiguous
I'll be real
I don't think Jmods should be replying official information in other discords without also publishing it in a blog or in this official discord
i mean i kind of agree but
that basically is the official channel when it comes to leagues
"Bascially" meaning that it's not the official channel
which is kinda nuts but
it is what it is
yeah its a discord ran by players but they just actually put the effort in there
i sorta get it because its like the hub of all of the tools and info that a lot of people use for leagues
so they're reaching everyone that wants to know in depth how stuff works for planning in advance
reveals/teasers top right
Will they fix the clickbox at mlm with this update?
You mean the scheduled weekly server maintenance not the game update which is tomorrow?
Oh true, thought it was wednesday will they fiks it tomorrow then?
Is the update going to take 6 hours? just curious
thanks
Didnāt game updates used to happen without downtime a while ago?
Its not a game update, its server maintnance
They still do, game updates are tomorrow.
Ok thx
Hi
Someone suggested this on osrs
āAdjust the location of the portal at the law altar so that its distance from the altar better matches other runecraft altars, likely 6-10 tile range. Additionally, the monks of entrana have no say over separate planes of existence, so they shouldnāt prevent you from bringing weapons/ armour to the law altar- no more stocking up on bronze pickaxes to drop every time you run through the āabyssā
Make all runecrafting altars into a maze like chaos altar
Are you sure thats a suggestion and not just a copy paste of what was in the news blog verbatim?
Doing this will be a huge game changer and would mess with the gamemode since you canāt bring items to entrana you would need to rework everything which is not āold school wayā
what
The only rework id imagine necessary is you instantly get teleported off Entrana if you leave the altar or something.
it specifically says just says law altar through the abyss
they wont let you bring shit to entrana
I thought the point of the game was to keep it old school but I see all these new people suggesting to make it easy mode
No the point of the game is further develop the game based on the 2007 version.
We've gotten a lot of updates that are very un "old school" that have been popular. GE comes to mind, varlamore was pretty well received too.
For skillers bringing items to entrana would be harsh since they have to kill zombie for an bronze axe we should leave it how it is
remove everything after zulrah and zulrah itself to keep it same as 2007
brother they will not let you bring things to entrana
you are misunderstanding the post
its just to remove annoyance from abyss law rune crafting
remember the janky stronghold slayer cave they released in 2015 because they thought the game wouldn't last 2 years
i just dont make law runes
new business opportunity selling bronze picks
skiller ironman have hard time obtaining bronze axe in entrana, normal accounts can bypass it with trade. but they can still make monks check your items when trying to exit law altar into entrana
Who cares about skiller ironmen and why are jagex wasting dev time even thinking about them
How the monks are going to have no say so about you bringing weapons and armour with you to entrana
ironman skiller is pretty ironic
We donāt want to upset those monks
Well the blog specifically says no say about you bringing weapons and armor to the law altar, not Entrana.
uhh ok
Altar isnāt in entrana tho u legit take a portal to teleport back to entrana
Because once you take portal to entrana you canāt have weapons
Because in that case it would need some major rework quest related you know
Where is a game mod at?
Yeah but youāll just be blocked from using the portal if u have weapons?
Nothing changes except abyss rc is less annoying
Which quest
I dont think english is their first language since we already went through this a few times now.
It doesnāt change lost city bcos u wonāt be able to use the portal at the altar to go to entrana if u have weapons
So the entire quest is the same
U canāt access entrana with weapons still
Hope that helps
You know it defeats the purpose of killing the zombie for a bronze axe in that quest
you really refuse to understand that you still cant bring weapons to entrana dont you
I got it down willis
So was todays update basically just a worlds offline and nothing added? And the news post is all its going to be a new poll? And the unpolled stuff to come shortly after poll ends? Or did something actually go live?
there was no update
today is tuesday
updates are on wednesdays
Ah i saw a worlds offline post this morning musta started earlier in the feed instead of current post
Tuesday's are for maintenance, Wednesday's are for "updates".
however yes i would expect tomorrows update to be nothing as well, maybe a few trees moved a couple tiles, or some quest dialog changes... so wouldnt get your hopes up lol
did you guys notice in an update last month they sneakily changed some locations
like they replaced the row of bushes behind the clock tower with more fences
I did not and I am disappointed
or in the Temple of Ikov dungeon, they removed the old KBD lair
(At myself for not noticing)
Ok that one I wouldnāt have seen
Yeah I just mean I had no reason to go in there in recent history
If I saw it, I would see it xd hard to miss
They did this a while ago, I think around Defender of Varrock
nope, was 6 weeks ago
you can see the before and after on osrs.world
prior to feb 11 it's still there
someone make a reddit post about how this was unpolled to get the redditors riled up
tomorrow's update is water eoc v2
wouldnt it be v3 at this point?
Whatever we get you better be happy with, because after that its leagues updates until atleast late may
i mean some of it they probably should get annoyed about
most of us just use a plugin that hides unrelated areas so thats kinda whatever
thats the kind of stuff they should've been working on since they got us out of the fixed client and we got additional rendering distance
actual geometry changes though they probably shouldn't be doing that
one thing I noticed is that the minecart tracks in Keldagrim are more red/orange colored than they used to be
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/images/thumb/Using_mine_cart.gif/300px-Using_mine_cart.gif?e5a62
i cant get too mad at jagex wanting to change things though
all i've seen for the past month is pnm and i personally destroyed everything their artists ever dreamed of in that room lmao
just to make everything more visible
also reminds me of that time we had a Hide & Seek event and we discovered that some random piece of furniture was sneakily changed in some random upstairs room, I think in one of the Burthorpe houses. cause the pictures for the hide & seek were taken a bit in advance
I explicitly don't hide unrelated areas because it makes the game feel way more enjoyable to me seeing all those
I wish we had a tool belt/pouch that holds stuff like chisel, tinderbox, axe, pick all in 1 slot
this is one of those things we'll never get because jagex ruined it for everyone already
The shadow pools could have just been colored better. But the team is slowly getting better at visual clarity.
it was completely fine back in the day but everyone gonna associate it with one of the worst times in rs history shortly after
keep that crap outta me game
^ see
Im actually so far the opposite its crazy
Give me content that is asking for full woodcutting and mining switches
we'd actually still bring our outfits and everything these days
its basically people scared of the boogey man like
what if we could right click chisel a gem without going to the bank first
game ruined
Zalcano but for multiskilling and its hard
its just one of those kinda tragic casualties of what people would associate with rs3
Woodcutting fit could be bis at muttadile room if jagex had balls
but its actually a bit older than that
True
in this case i donāt think it could be hidden since its right there in the same chunk, so the only way to hide it is to remove it
oh no i meant more like
swapping bushes to fences
just hiding stuff you cant get to anyways i think is good
since you weren't supposed to see that stuff anyways
gotcha
it just got developed before people could see anything
Release the left click bone bury ground object option which was introduced in the new players blog released by Jagex.

It would save me one tick flexing my mvp on the nex team
Reminder that itās been 2 years and 11* days since release and the quiver still doesnāt work as polled/blogged
"But what good is a quiver that doesn't hold any arrows?" we hear you ask. Great question, and you're right: a quiver that doesn't hold any ammunition is no quiver at all. With that in mind, we'd like to give Dizana's Quiver the ability to hold at least 2 types of ammo (exact number TBD) and automatically select which one suits your current weapon. If you pop Dragon arrows and Ruby dragon bolts (e) in your quiver, a Twisted bow would default to using those arrows while a Zaryte crossbow would default to bolts. This frees up your ammo slot for a blessing or Ghommal's lucky penny and might even free up inventory slots in cases where you're bringing a crossbow switch, handy!
ya thats one of those situations where im pretty sure jagex knows exactly what they did and that we didnt vote for it lol
they'd just refer you to the (exact number TBD) part
even the TBD part doesn't hold because thats in reference to the + of 2+, of which the quiver doesnt even old 2 to begin with š
its a mess
I feel like this is a case of shit wording on the proposal, the last sentence in particular is actually how it works currently
A simple line of "increase of 1 from normal" would have made this blog accurate to what we got
even in their tldr they say
"TLDR:
Dizana's quiver will be able to store 2+ ammo types (arrows/bolts) while equipped in the cape slot."
so there's three instances of them specifying that the quiver itself will hold 2 (or more) ammo types. Not one in your quiver and one in your ammo slot, which even with the ambiguity of the last sentence above, they were gracious enough to specify that they are aware of the difference
Also, this entire last section is describing having an ammo slot free for penny while having bolts+arrows in quiver
" If you pop Dragon arrows and Ruby dragon bolts (e) in your quiver, a Twisted bow would default to using those arrows while a Zaryte crossbow would default to bolts. This frees up your ammo slot for a blessing or Ghommal's lucky penny and might even free up inventory slots in cases where you're bringing a crossbow switch, handy!"
because the "This frees up" is in response to the sentece before it
Yeah they didnt do a good job with that blog lol, which is like kinda important for what will be our bis ranged cape until at least 2030
They pretty obviously polled it before working on it then realized what they polled wasn't possible or feasible
Very likely just couldn't get things to work correctly like "what if they put 2 bolt types into quiver at once" or they thought in testing it was too strong
Its quite good as is, not saying that makes it ok, but i doubt they change it
Quiver is very very very good
It would have been nice if they ever acknowledged or explained it, which I don't think they did
That's the part that offends me
this part yeah
Yeah they do just stay quiet far too often
I don't mind them not delivering if they told us why they didn't deliver or if they repolled when they realized it couldn't be done
The really weird part is J-Mods read this channel, and they will see this comment, and still there probably won't be an explanation.
would just like for it to be ackowledged. A simple "We thought we could do this, but couldn't" is perfectly valid
The random radio silence causes mistrust and confusion.
Even "3 ammos at once is too strong" is like valid
iirc when they did the steam on it, they confirmed itd be ammo types
It would matter more if we actually used any other bolts besides ruby
And there are no ammo slot blessings or coins that compete with zcb spec lol
Or a more fair comparison a single inventory slot in general
ye all it would rly do is open people up to using penny/blessings where they currently dont bc its inconvenient
only reason it was top of mind for me is because I saw another proposal for a blessing that would basically be a non-negotiable item to have, and everytime i see something like that I'm just like "please no, not until quiver is fixed/addressed"
I saw that reddit post, i like more than half the suggestions which is pretty good
Im still not sure that i understand or agree with the obsession to upgradescape inquisitor. It really doesnt seem like an exciting reward space right now.
penny is literally minor as fuck
I hate that they won't even consider buffing blessings for melee
Blood fury blessing when
something something 'we cant give GM meaningful rewards'
At least the unlimited zuk / jad task is great now
They might as well just make GM the pet hunter bonanza lmao
Can't even give Blorva a 1% effective life steal passive
Radiant a 5% demonbane bonus
smh
Blorva with life steal might finally see use over oathplate
yup
tbf torva lifesteal would signal the end for all melee armor ever
Ehh depends
Even with lifesteal, youād still take oath for tob for example
Itād maybe be marginally helpful for kank trio maidens where the dps roles get Ramboād or decide to do some swimming
Or casual solos, but even then it can grief you at verzik if youāre looking to orb the green ball
yeah you'd do that on the dps spreadsheet for sure but 99.99% of the people playing this game wouldn't care and would go lifesteal lol
lifesteal is just dangerous
because it raises the skill floor
its why people went so crazy with blood fury until rancour had to just really gap it to get them to stop
i almost think its probably like
just not a good idea in osrs
jagex tries to make upgrades as small as they can so they can conserve reward space etc but
its really hard to justify going for an amount of dps that you cant feel any practical difference with instead of something that actually makes the game easier
so they probably will just fuck up the balance there all the time
lifesteal would be stupid
and we've already seen what happens to them with it
they basically have to give you enough lifesteal so that you actually feel like its helping you or people ignore it
it depends on what the percentage is, 1% total would be like 1/6 of blood fury and the accuracy of oathplate would still overshine it
old blood fury was like 2% and it was dead
hence why i dont think it'll be an issue
low proc chance with high return also is weaker than high proc chance with low heal (ie. sang vs bf)
yeah but if it was 1/6 it would happen just like blood fury
they would buff it because people would laugh at them
Better question. How much life steal does sang need for people to use it over ayak
im pretty sure sang just needs jesus if we want to see that
since im sure they'd never give you the lifesteal number to make that happen lol
rn its 8.33% effective healing
probably 20% effective healing and that buff needs to be from activation, not healing amount
that's less healing percentage than BB, but more healing overall
Blood barrage is crazy cuz its like also aoe
add blood barrage tablets fr
Unhinged
Gahhh I know itās only 1% and basically irrelevant but it still feels a bit yucky
blood barrage means you also lose out on thralls, double dc, and any other spell you might want to use on the other spellbooks
lifesteal on torva would be dumb because there is no downsides like that
you would lose some dps for specifically slash (which does include scythe, but we're gonna be getting a crush mega)
Ye to be clear, Iām not saying itād be a good idea in the slightest š thatās about as slippery a slope you can get in terms of balancing nightmares
Just that there are places where you already have excess hp as a resource, and therefore the life steal wonāt provide value (assuming it also has cost/charges associated with it). Which is a surprisingly decent share of current content tbh
Now if we had like a 15 sec cooldown on veng, or group veng, weād be in the lab with lift steal and off pray fun

A veng upgrade as the next spell upgrade scroll is all i ever want
I am worried about tomorrows update day and it being April 1st
should be used to it every update has been a joke for awhile
wait till you learn to worry about real problems
lmao
Imagine logging in tomorrow and you spawn in tutorial island like a new character
+400 days of playtime added
this organized chaos thing? didn't they already do that with the second consecutive price increase?
3rd price increase due to Hormuz Strait
So, the Quiver is a weird item, if you charge it this will reflect only the percentage after using the splinters for example you add 15k splinters it would only say 10% charged until it has used all 15k splinters, but if you use try to remove the splinters from the quiver you lose your % worked towards blessing the quiver
I dont know if its an oversight or intended (intended doesnt make any sense)
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Dizana's_quiver#Upgrading listed as a bug on wiki
Dizana's quiver is an item that requires level 75 Ranged to equip. It provides the best in slot ranged attack bonus for the cape slot, and is awarded for defeating Sol Heredit in the Fortis Colosseum.
The quiver is one of many used by fighters in the Fortis Colosseum, made as replicas of the original that was used by Dizana, the Heroine of the H...
that being said if it was intentional it should at least come with a warning saying it will reset progress
you also lose partial charging on a wilderness death too
imo the charges in the quiver shouldnt be lost on a pvp death also but the ammo makes sense
esp if the item is locked
Yes, group-venge please
Double Venge to counteract how good double DC is
One cast 2 venges
I'd love for lunars to get some love
It's the only spell book with risk vs reward and it gets forgotten about
Thralls are 6 prayer points for 2 minutes of .6 dps which is already better than venge even if it cost 20 prayer points
Veng has more pvp implications but group veng seems like a decent fit
Its not like veng tanks are good in multi at all. Group venge on range role at tob would go hard
it could b fun for pvp
if thralls got a ca buff maybe veng could get a cooldown adjustment with higher tier ca's as well?
but without applying to pvp ig because that would make people mad
Yeah surely letās not only make the already most popular reward in the game (gm CAs) even more appealing but also buff one of the best and most used spells in the game at the same time
Creating literally 0 change to anyting other than pure power creep
What a great suggestion
The thrall combat achievement buff doesnt functionally change thralls dps. CAs are a terrible place to actually buff venge, but there was a lot of anger in that response
He's just catastrophizing about something while being wrong or intentionally obtuse
GM CAs are less than 1/200th of the playerbase
Of everyone who has at least 1 ca, less than .5% have completed the least frequently completed gm CA
So it's even less than that who are GMs
Standard spell book would need so many buffs to be useful its actually insane to think about
relax bro it was a pitch of the moment i didnt even open a suggestion for it
that being said buffs to existing spells arent necessarily a bad thing and there are ways to introduce them
look at death charge for example
Someone at jagex help my boy, he got his 9th gem
Anyone know when the trouver rework is gonna come into the game?
between now and sometime later
He got 99 slayer while grinding the heart doing anya skipping only.
he started like 97 slayer i think, now hes 34m exp lol
Hes done nothing but araxytes and smoke devils + the anya skips for the past 6 months
damn. i did konar pretty much all the way to 59m skipping non superior tasks. took til then to get first heart, no gems. then a 2nd heart at 60m. now on the gem grind
hope i dont end up with 9 hearts (or do i)
If i didnt drop my heart on my iron i would have just been done at 17M Slayer except for Hydra leather
But I dropped everything now I need to get back Primordials, Heart (120 Superiors since I started going for it, 1 Gem several staffs) and still Hydra leather
Prims at 800
since then I got only pet an Eternal and peg crystal and 1 jar
Hydra a weird one
3 claws is what I have on my main almost 6k kc
xD
Slayer also weird no leaf battleaxe
for all id be fine if ancient brews wouldnt be such a pain to make as they are, heart sooo rare as it is, like every other skill has an easy way to boost except magic
magic potion being +4 while range pot is +13 or super combat +19
to me Magic pot should get you to 107 magic with option to divine, Ancient brew to 112 like saturated heart but is a potion and lowers your stats, Regular heart to 112 but not divine and saturated heart keeping it 112 divine or 114 divine.
Nihil shards are not that common to get anyways
Popular was a bad word I meant aspirational, itās not like people arenāt bothered about gm
Everyone wants that shit
Buffs to the strongest spells in the game are
Next letās buff thralls to 3-6 dps guaranteed
Deaths charge was comparatively weak people wouldnāt bother bringing it most places
Now it has functional value
Whereās the anger š¤£
Kids these days canāt take someone being direct
And I always see things suggested that need to be changed at the most popular content in the game which makes no sense to me, people already do it and engage with it so why does it need a buff
When thereās so much dead content already
good
Still needs 10k charges
But can staff stop spamming about the leagues? Like god damn, this is too much
More news about leagues than main game
is the update on and off or do we have downtime?
Don't think I saw mentions of downtime
same downtime as always for weekly updates
So now using range prayer will also boost dmg from cannon?
pls dont remove last destination option for from fairy rings, its literally my left click option and 90% of my use of fairy rings
you set the ring for the activity you are doing, then just left click (currently doing this for yama)
how does the update stop you from doing that
and?
The picture implies it ngl
?
But maybe they never used the ring in that picture, so it doesn't show yet
left click last destination was core for like karambwans etc
I'm sure QA checked it out
what's stopping you from setting the yama fairy ring to your favorites, and setting that to the left click option?
Not a killer if it works that way, but last destination was indeed handy even if we can favorite
What I'd like the most is we have location names instead of codes in the menu there
Can you set favorite as left click? if so which one does it use? even if you can its still more steps
This update was specifically for ring qol, so thats a step backwards imo
why wouldnt you be able to? it's a menu option
this is what menu entry swapper does
swaps menu options
So its the same as last destination?
you can do the exact same thing you were already doing with no extra clicks or effort
I guess we'll see after update, I tihnk you're wrong though. Either way its worse way to interact
I might not want to always set my last destination as as fave
idk i guess it's technically possible they implemented some entirely new interface completely separate from how everything else in the game works to make it so you cant menu entry swap fairy rings
but as seen in the picture you posted, it's a menu with a submenu, which already exists in other places and you can use menu entry swapper perfectly fine with
ex: max cape
annoying to have to set favuroites everytime i do something, but hey, maybe its ok
but feels strange
how long will downtime be
Not with diary cape on mobile
so
Still sad about that
same as always
so instant?
yup
saved š
there you go
Thought it was weird. glad its not gone
I was also doubting it would be removed because it's not like there wasn't room for it with the changes
my thoughts exactly. which why i was confused by this
cannot wait to hit 300+ with dragon cannon if they forgot to not include player ranged str bonus from javelins and bowfa on cannon
how long is downtime?
^
should be no downtime, unless something breaks
Oh it will
The question is what
Idk how to describe it but the login screen looks different
im teshing cannon maxhits first
yeah i see it too
rl plugins not working i guess
plugins are working
can they make veng not wipe in poh
or just
