Look, I'm generally pretty silent about these issues especially when it comes to text or even on this server in general. However, I have a point to make and a lot of you aren't going to like it, especially the mods.

If this server was truly community driven our advice would be heard out in a separate channel where it's more organized for peers to talk amongst themselves and have interaction with both P & J mods alike. Telling us to consistently put things in mod mail just takes it behind closed doors where next to nothing ever changes and nothing becomes resolute that helps maintain the peace. Rather, it riles up the masses and causes what seems to be an unlimited amount of offshoot servers which ultimately hurts this server in the long run. It would be beneficial in the long run for those who request to be in that channel to openly discuss these things and help make decisions in a form of voting even just like we do in game would help bring back trust and reliability in both the server, the mods, and the overall ability to truly be called community driven.

This server is wonderful and I love everything that is gone on to make it the way that it is but that does not mean that there are not issues that need to be handled. Like many of my peers, I refuse to let it go behind closed doors where it could become ignored and forgotten.

Sorry if this is seen as disruptive but, I feel like it really does need to be said. From this point, I'll leave it be (no more from me).

Now as to those in my server. No more pestering! I share the pain and feelings towards this server all the same as you, but it is NOT reputable to do so. Change requires sacrifice on both ends. We must embody that through our actions.

It’s a choice..you can gain access to voice channels by reacting to a message. If users are unhappy about having to use push to talk then they have the option to easily and quickly earn a bronze rank to unlock open mic.

If that still upsets user we encourage them to create a private call or server to voice chat with their friends instead. 🙂

I think it should go a step further, I think users should have to DM Senny every time they want to talk and Senny manually unmutes them for a sentence and if they misuse their speaking privileges they get a "criminal" role which bans them from any channel except the rules channel... thoughts?

This is a community but not a vc focused server. Vc’s are nice to have but it’s not what makes or break this server. Users don’t have to like the rules but they will have to follow them if they’d like to retain their voice chat privileges. We always advise users that don’t like our policies or struggle to follow them to user other servers or create private calls with their friends as an alternative.

People strategically and repeatedly posting here just to comment when the VCs are empty, or a single VC is full, yet rarely, if ever, joining VC when they are frequently in use, now that's cringe.

We have logs you know. You two continuously making these types of comments haven't joined our VCs in 2-3 days. Even then it was only for less than a minute in those circumstances; it's actually been 4 days and 6 days respectively that either of you spent more than 10 minutes in the VCs. There has been plenty of people enjoying this space during that time. Where were you then? What's stopping you from populating a fresh channel now? I assure you that if you were to do so, it wouldn't be long before someone joins you. The channels are never dead for long, despite what you may be attempting to lead others to believe.

1- I posted a gif settle down. 2- I never join VC anymore because there isn’t anyone there anymore. The 30+ usual members that made this place the community it used to be all left. It was usually toxic as soon as there was any interaction with the mods anyways so it’s best that way. This “bad faith” behaviour that you are seeing from myself and other members is simply a reaction from what the server has been going through the past couple months. I understand this isn’t the place to make change and I guess we aren’t allowed to complain about it here either so ill stop 🙂 if the limits increase and there is more room for inclusivity and community growth you’ll see me and many many others populating our favourite video games discord server once again.

I would love to populate a new channel when the main one is full, or join it when it’s at 8/10, but I know in a very short amount of time there is going to be atleast 5 of our friends who can’t enjoy their evening with us because of how much the community is growing (a lot of new players on OSRS) There will be atleast 3 people afk saving their spot which starts drama trying to get someone kicked, or a mod taking a spot when they can join when the channel is at capacity. We are almost forced to go somewhere else unfortunately. This will be the last time I say it but the limits have evidently been bad for the server and community no matter how you try and spin it. Sure some members enjoy the limits, but it sure isn’t the majority that I’m speaking for.
