#Action Figure Realm
1 messages · Page 3 of 1
I was procrastinating for a while but I'm glad I was able to get it done before going to college
Sick lighting
Appreciate it bro I’m still building the setup I’ll do a bigger post once it’s all finished need a bigger table lol
HADOUKEN
Decided to take my first step into Jada Street Fighter
Really like this guy
Will probably get Ryu soon
And then Guile
Those look sick sorry to tell you this but your wallet is cooked
Lmao
Thank you and godammit
Don’t be mad at me I’m only being real
No, I'm not mad, just facing the inevitable reality
I've already been looking at Chun-Li
Especially if you want to have a shelf full of these that’s gonna be a pretty penny
Honestly... it's not that bad
I really only want the Super SF2 roster
Which is 16 characters
In total, with full prices, this whole line will end up running me like $400
And for an entire line?
That's not bad
Is that right those now granted I’m not too knowledgeable about action figures and what now but those things look expensive
These specific figures are $25 a pop
damn not too bad as a wwe figure collector that’s a rare price for us
There are Street Fighter figures that go for like $60+, Whether it be SH Figuarts or Storm collectibles, but these are from Jada Toys
I don’t know if you’re anything like me but I collect a figure cause it looks cool and this looks pretty cool
Especially cause I need a cm punk figure
Oh no, I am way too far gone down the rabbit hole, I look for shit that you would not think of, and nobody should think of.
That does look cool though, I would get that
Actually don't have a punk
And the face scan is actually really good
They be hit and miss, but the hits are super good
I keep my wrestling collection very small, because these people do stupid shit too often, and I don't have space for another 60+ figure collection
And I would totally do that with wrestling
If I didn't care about people as people, I'd have a whole ass NWO set up cause that shit can look sick as hell
I just have a bin full of figure however my funko pops on full display and my signed Shawn Michaels poster on display as well
I have a complex relationship with funko pops
Hogan is the only thing stopping me from getting the nwo three pack
They kinda hurt the action figure market hard for a bit there, though it's pretty much rose out of that
But like... man, retailers really started leaning hard on Funkos for a while, instead of figures
Especially mom and pops shops
With that being said I do have a nwo hogan figure
I have a hogan somewhere in a box
It's mania 9 Hogan 😭
I didn't realize that till after I got it
I got a wrestlemania 17 Jericho figure from a mom and pop shop
I got it thinking it was Bash at the Beach 96
And then I was like "oh god it's Mania 9"
Fun fact, This was a week before I found out he said the N Word
Oh wow
Yeah, time is funny like that sometimes
And the nwo hogan I have has the nwo spray painted wcw championship that’s one of the reasons I got it
And it’s shiny as well
I'd judge myself if I displayed him, it's a personal thing. I still have and simply an Undertaker.
Idk why at this point, but I do
He's mainly a spot filler at this rate
Idk where my goldust is or id use him
I have an old elite goldust from like 2012
I have an elite road dogg attitude era action figure
Oh, 2010 actually
These coats were the worst
You could physically injure someone with it if you hit them
ELECTROCUTE HIM
They were so hard
He's cooler without the wig
I lost the wig ages ago anyway lol
Lmao
Tbf, I did get him when I was 11
It's a miracle my Macho Man has all his accessories
I'm genuinely impressed by myself on that
I have a Brock lesnar basic figure that I got with a forklift play set
I used to a really shitty Kofi who could do a flip
Idk what happened to him
This fucking guy 😭
Bro has the biggest crotch of all time
Flex Force, what a horrible line
Safe to say he’s in a drawer now
Eww why his legs like that
Ik you've dreamed of owning a Punk figure who's arm is forever stuck bent in front of him
They are bigger than his entire body
It's cause he can do a flip
By flip I mean fall on his face
Sometimes he'd flip, but he'd never land
The only cool thing about Flex Force was that the ring came with a Titantron
I’m gonna drink a big glass of milk and take 3 viagra
I miss entrance greats
Yeah wouldn’t these play the theme of the wrestler
Yeah, the stand would
My friend had this one and everytime I went over to his house I lowkey wanted to steal it
Cool.
Preesh. I'm basically done with Marvel figures rn tbh, and like, I've accomplished my goals with most of my other shelves, so it's nice to branch out into another line.
Especially since it's a young line
It's not like 100+ figures deep
I commend Jada, cause what they've done a great job at.... is keeping Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li in stock
That's the key for a line like this, make sure the gateway figures are easy to get
Guile next
Guile and then maybe Cammy
oh, you may get a kick out of these.
they aren't anything crazy, but i found them this weekend and they are very funny.
i want the tall boi unicorn so badly.
i want the wine sipping Char's Zaku as well, but ended up with the winged guy with cat in the bottom row.
Big Dame
Cool figure but why is his forehead so big😭
good question 😭
KSI ahh boy
Honestly, fun one to get.
So, I ordered Guile
Guile showed up
It wasn't Guile
Thing is... Dee Jay is awesome
So he stays
Already ordered another Guile
Why do you need a Cody Rhodes figure
I bet that’s an original joke that hasn’t been said before
I mean, yeah it actually is lol
Cody hasn't been cast as Guile for that long
And I just ordered the guile figure
So this indeed is the first time I've heard that joke
Guile should be here in the next couple days 🙂
@worn plover guess who this is
I have no earthly idea
It’s Billy Gunn
Just use your Cody figure.
SONIC BOOM
Guile has joined the world warriors
Cobra I have a question do you have an answer
I won't know unless you ask the question
Finish the story
My only issue with this set is the scuff on the bottom right blue section of Cody's jacket, this was made to order, so idk if I could even get a replacement, so that's kind of annoying
I think I still may try and contact Mattel to see if they can send me a new jacket
It's a bigger scuff than it looks in the picture
It's definitely a bit of a bummer
i really hope they can help you
I've been in this game long enough to just be bitter and accept reality if they can't
But I will try, thank you
Hopefully they reply, that's pretty visible.
Emailed them, we'll see what they say
to start the collection I need the big 3
can’t find a good spidey for a reasonable price… these 2 were pushing it lmao
and Silver Samurai…
Hulk is def pushing it, I'd have a hard time recommending him because of his price, but if it's worth it to you go for it, I could see it being more worth it since you don't have another hulk.
And yeah... fucking spidey
My advice would be to wait until they release a new spidey (it won't take too long), and pre order the dude
Pre order is the easiest way to get Spider-Man, as he always gets eaten up
Awesome start tho fr
That Wolverine looks so dope
yeah, I’m seeing reviews and whatnot and it’s not talked about in the best way, but it is my first Hulk and I really like this headsculpt
but the Wolverine figure holy
that is the sexiest thing I’ve seen in some time, piqued my interest and was the figure that just convinced me to start collecting legends
I was also looking previous wolverines and this just seems to be the best one ever
I almost went with the new Secret Wars because he was cheaper
hulk just dropped $15
He is
He's on their new body that they established with the Astonishing Wolverine
Why they didn't give that body to secret wars guy, I'll never know
They hyped up Secret Wars guy too, so we thought he'd have the body
Called him "the best Wolverine yet" .... and then he was revealed with the old body and it was like "come on, man"
It's not that it's a bad body, my Wolverines have that body, it's great.... it's just going on 10 years old, and there's a new one, so come on man.
He was definitely not received well, but it's honestly not because he's a bad figure, it's because we're very tired of Hasbro's shitty practices with pricing, which... you'll understand soon enough as you keep collecting lol. I love Marvel Legends as much as I hate them lmao.
Using Hulk as an example, If a figure doesn't sell out and it ends up sitting there for ages, it's gonna go on sale, never be afraid to wait for that... FOMO is real, but it's worth it to wait a lot of the time
I got Modok for $15 on Amazon
$50 figure on release
Which was a really dumb price btw, but that's besides the point, the point is that waiting paid off
Not saying to do that for Hulk, he probably won't go down much further than he is now
But yeah
Also, pay attention to Imports, like SH Figuarts, and especially MAFEX. They're more expensive, but you're actually getting a figure worth its price. Sometimes there's almost no reason to get the ML over the MAFEX.
I'd say look into Mafex Spidey for sure
Love my Mafex spidey
Though, this is the OG, I don't have the newer version which has a lighter blue
I also adore my Mafex Venom, but he's not very tall, which leads people to not like him too much
He's like a head taller than Spider-man
Which works for me tbh
I also have Mafex Thor, but ML Thor is plenty dope, this was a birthday present
How do they scale next to ML, that’s one thing I don’t love about collecting the wrestling figures.. the AEW figures scale horrible next to the WWE ones
Mafex scales very well with ML, I'll use Iron Man and Spidey here as an example since I'm right by these shelves lol
You'd have to look into SHF, as I don't have any of their marvel figures
Here's Mafex daredevil for another example
Oh yeah and you can see Venom too, I have him propped up on some stuff and it works well
He's also lunging on a stand
to the blind eye I wouldn’t have been able to tell you that they were different manufacturers,
Yeah, Mafex blends in really well
I need to dust, man
Think I'll do that today
That's gonna be annoying
Now, it's time to decide how much do I dust, do I just do one area today, or try the whole collection... because that second one sounds like hell
And I'm talking like lower levels of hell, god I don't wanna take all these figures down 😭😭😭😭
There are people with collections that are like three times the size of mine, I don't understand how the fuck they do this
that’s really tough lmaoo, I couldn’t do that because it’s so much work
but that’s one helluva collection
Can’t remember if I’ve asked this before but are the DC figures 6”?
can’t wait for McFarlane’s reign of terror ends for the dc figures
those pose like shit
they look okay? But they feel and play like shit
the crotch diaper mold is such a stupid thing
Hate it
Yeah, they're Mattel DC Universe Classics
also apparently they scale horribly with each other
It's hit or miss
A lot of them are kinda just the same size
Most annoying thing to me is that you have to break your anus to get classic evergreen looks
Which is why I just said fuck it, and I kept with Mattel on the aftermarket after Mcfarlane took over
Cause I didn't wanna start over and wait for the line to get good
I would've ended up with like 7 Batmans before I was satisfied lmao
This is great.
That's awesome
Kurt angle vs wolverine is not something I knew I wanted
I've never bought any of the authentic/real scale rings because of how expensive they are, but damn the new SmackDown one is so good I might have to get it
WORD LIFE
Comes with a fuckin stapler as well
it’s so mental
Hulk will be here on Monday hopefully
THIS IS BASIC THUGANOMICS (also why tf is it the new WWE logo on the mic and not the scratch logo)
damn
first New Jack is in 2K now they're making a New Jack figure
wasn't on my 2025 bingo card
I don’t know I would’ve thought they did the scratch logo
fr
Still a kickass figure regardless
indeed
@worn plover IK this isn't the right channel but its the only one open to me, is Dyno equipped to automute I can't chat in the other channels for some reason
hahahahahaha
Let's just say it's the last part of Dick's name that Dyno didn't like
I'll unmute you
I said his name once before and got no issue
You got bodied this time
Noooo
I LIE I CHEAT I STEAL
Reshuffled a bit
It is a very happy day for Cobra
I have acquired my Grail after many many years
And some of you may be thinking "Don't you already have 570 He Mans?"
And well, maybe
But... this is no Ordinary Man of He
This is the 2016 "Ultimate" Release from Masters of the Universe Classics (a line that has been discontinued for a few years now)... and what makes him cool... is his head
It's the classic head based off the original figure
Here's a comparison with the standard head that was used for this line
Clears the old head eternally
Looks great.
I wish he had his other sword.
He came with both, I just have him with the Better sword
I just got a razor Ramon figure
Some shots I took of the SF Gang
THE BLOODLINE IS NOW IN YO CITY
Enter these 2
I got this set with an Amazon Gift Card I had, and I really have no need for Fury
Just needed a new Punisher, and this guy is basically perfect
He went on the Spidey shelf to replace the toybiz guy
Idk what I'll do with Fury
Very happy with the current state of this shelf
Who I really need is Kraven
Alright, we just need Big Wheel and Boomerang now.
And Vulture
Okay you're cooking with Big Wheel
Boomerang is lame
Ik that's intentional
He really is.
But I don't need him
He does exist tho
Idk if he's had a recent figure tho, that was like maybe 10 years ago
When he was kinda new
Yeeaah, this guy
He suffers from Big Head syndrome pretty bad
Was a big issue with ML at this period
Also he's on the old Bucky Cap Mold, which is literally the first Mold they ever created for the ML reboot that started in 2012.... so like, even by 2016 we were already getting tired of it
Oh okay, he was 2014
That's slightly better
Right, TASM 2 wave
At the time I wondered why they left out Movie Goblin... now I realize we were better off
I still have that Spider-Man somewhere, he was the only one I got from this wave
People liked that superior Spider-Man, but they thought it was really lame that he didn't come with the arms
Now there is a version that did come with the arms, so he's basically obsolete
New one is like way better in every way actually lmao
It's crazy how this line got better overtime, but the practices just got worse
I remember my parents got me a Spider-Man figure once.
It was after we saw the first movie.
Actually, it was family friends.
Quality wise, it's at its best point right now probably, but practice wise, there are at their scummiest
It was the beaten up Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.
Yo
1 sec
This fellow?
Mine has sadly developed jaundice and he's missing his toes on his left foot
But he's still rad
Fun fact, Tobey in the movie was originally going to have web shooters (it even made it into one of the early trailers), but this was scrapped late in development, but the figures were already on their way, so they just didn't paint the web shooter they had sculpted
Here's the shot that's in the trailer I'm talking about
As well liked as the first movie in Sam Raimi's 2000s trilogy of SPIDERMAN starring Tobey Maguire may be (well, the first two parts, anyway), a detail that turned off many of the comics purists was the choice to have Spidey's webbing be "biological", that it was merely one of the powers he gained from the radioactive spider bite (like his "spide...
Yeah that was the one!
His fingers could do the Spider-Man web slinging thing.
He may not stay here forever but it works for now
Which, while this is an extremely dated concept
Still neat
is that cowbell from the Eddie figure or a different figure?
because I have the same cowbell with my Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw figure
It came with the Eddie figure
Oh ok
Hot Toys Iron Man has joined the collection
New new
Genuinely one of the best figures in my whole collection ngl
This guy is just crazy cool
Sure, technically the Grey shirt doesn't work with every accessory, and he could've come with a Robotic hand
But... also I don't care
There is a black shirt version if I was really insane enough to care, but I'm not
He's cool tho, comes with John
May need to grab this guy if I can manage to find him tho
Badass
Enter the God of Thunder!
That’s pretty sick I’m not gonna lie
I appreciate it greatly
He's definitely not as strong of a figure as a couple of my other Hot Toys, but with him being a good chunk under $300, I can't even really complain too much. He's still really fucking cool and solid.
Enter New Cover Girl
Big improvement over the first release
I always preferred her as a blonde to begin with, and I just always felt there was something really soulless about this figure's face, not to mention the weird gap in her bicep
Fits like a glove
I have the new Flint coming later today
... and I guess I'm basically done with my Joes after that
That's basically my entire list crossed off
Shit
That's wild
Though, I have some spots that need to be filled, so I'll probably get a couple more at least
Could use a Heavy Duty, and I don't have Leatherneck either
VIVA LA RAZA
hell yeah
Enter new Flint
Who, much like covergirl, I feel is a big improvement from the first version
He's from early in the line before they really had faces nailed down, and they were modernizing all the looks rather than just going pure classic
Old Flint was one of the best of the early figures, but he ended being a bit of a sore thumb with how everything is now
Damn, now that I rearranged everyone.... this book may actually be closed
I have everyone on my initial list and then some
Here's what my Joe shelf looked like in 2021
Wow, the only figures even remaining on the shelf are Snake Eyes and Lady Jaye, and even then, I changed out Snake Eyes' Head and straps with those from another figure
I have all of these characters still, just different figures
Why did her hair colour change?
That's her original design
Dark hair came later
Where is your Baroness figure?
On the cobra shelf
Which desperately needs to be rearranged honestly
I've got too many no named goons in the front, and too many named people in the back
Like wtf was I doing here
Currently otw
Tri-Klops is technically the only character I don't already have, but there are reasons I got She Ra and Skeletor
The She-Ra I have is based on the cartoon, so she's a bit short, and her hair is so yellow that she sticks out a bit on my shelf. This ^ She-Ra is based on the Toy, so she's more "realistic" in design, and she'll fit in better
This Skeletor comes with a really cool head that's based off the artwork of Alfredo Alcala, who did the artwork for the early minicomics that came with the original toys
@onyx abyss this is also why I'm biased towards the Power Sword that isn't your favorite
I can accept your reasoning.
Also... can you tell me who drew this just by looking at the picture?
I obviously know who drew it, but idk if I'd be able to guess if I didn't know ngl
It's hard to say. It's not Romita Sr. or John Buscema.
The square jaw feels very Silver Age inspired.
Silver Age inspired is the right thing to take notice of
I'll give you a hint
This artist is responsible for a large part of our childhood
Yes indeed
Is it actually?
Yes it is lmao
Wow, I would not have guessed that without a hint. It's not his trademark style at all.
Timm actually did some really good stuff for He Man tho, he worked on some of the old DC comics before they switched over to Marvel
Nah, I think he just drew those to put his own spin on it
The proportions threw me off, they looked quite classic.
Idk if those were a pitch for anything
I did not know this, very cool.
Yeah, definitely.
He's a talented artist, capable of jumping outside his signature style, as he was trained by other animators, which always involves classic anatomy and figure work.
But minimizing the amount of lines and going with clear silhouettes is always key for television.
Indeed, and he's fucking great at that, so
Yeah, and it's great on the page too.
Toth had a style that minimized lines too and he's one if the most influential ever.
We wouldn't have the He Man cartoon without that influence
I also wanna shout out He-Man's first venture outside of his own Mini Comics
This was even before the cartoon
Art by Curt Swan
Acclaimed Superman artist Curt Swan.
Bro would've been in his 60's, wow
He would've been 62
And his Superman was still looking peak
Tom Grummett can still draw a good Superman.
Walt Simonson is in his 70s and still does commissions.
Bob McLeod did a commission for someone last year.
When you got it, you really got it.
I actually have a prince Adam based on the art of curt swan from this run
Oh that's super sick
She looks less detailed.
Which, hey, accurate
Just not the aesthetic of my shelf
My biggest issue is that she's too short though. She's supposed to be the same height as her brother, and even next to my Cartoon He-Man that isn't the case.
She's a good figure, but she was kind of disappointing, like most of the Super7 releases for this line. Mattel moved on to the current stuff they're doing now, so Super7 handled the end of this line... and it's just not quite as good.
She can barely hold her sword, she straight up cannot hold her shield, and she doesn't stand very well. She's just sort of disappointing. Cartoon He-Man (also Super7) originally was super glossy and shiny, and I Matted him out myself. I fucked up in some places, but he overall looks way better now.
Cartoon Skeletor is the best super7 figure I have
He has no real issues
I'll buy you the MacFarlane She-Ra, don't worry.
Forgot to mention I ordered Web-Stor, and a new sorceress. I accidentally damaged my current Sorceress a while back, and I lost some of her accessories, so I was kind of in need of a new one.
Will be my last figure purchases for a long while, I've gotta save up due to my plans towards the end of the year
"New" She-Ra has arrived
This is what I call an upgrade
Tri-Klops has also arrived
Major upgrades holy
New Head
Comparison with the head I just replaced
Still awesome, just a different kind of awesome
Big upgrade.
Cyclops and Triclops should hang out.
I wanna mention, her choker snapped on me when I was getting her out of the shipper box, but I repaired it with Super-Glue
Tri-Klops!!
Only racists say Triclops
Tri-Klops and Cyclops.
Rearranged the castle Grayskull display
The He-Man wall
That is very hard to photograph
It looks much better in person
No.... bad Cobra... fight the urges
Couldn't get him right now anyway, but it's not checking when I can that's the key here
God, there's so many goddamn Evil Warriors!
I still "need" Clawful, Scareglow, Spikor, 2 Bad, Whiplash, and Jitsu
No shade to Ninjor I just don't need him, but he is cool
Shout out Ninjor
Better shots
Also, I gave him his hook
That's what makes him Webstor after all
I've always really loved his design
Plus, grappling hooks are cool
It's funny, I really fucking hate spiders, but fictional spider people are always cool to me
The Vintage Figure is honestly one of my favs of the original line
NYEEEHH!!! I HAVE YOU NOW HE-MAN!!!
I centered the castle Grayskull display
Been meaning to do it for a while
Now much easier to photograph the He-Man wall
Why so many light years
I like Buzz
I've downsized my buzzes now though
I have 2 on the shelf currently, normal Buzz and Utility belt buzz
Wow, very cool.
@long wedge I just wanna say, friend, pal.... always let Figure collecting be a hobby, not an addiction
I was just browsing a sub Reddit and found a post where someone talked about their figure addiction, and then all the comments was people showing how bad theirs has gotten
And man... I have been there, don't ever let yourself do that
I have drawers and drawers and boxes and boxes of figures that I just can't display or don't want to display
Half of them don't even feel sellable for a variety of reasons
Here soon I'm gonna go through them and I'm gonna see what I can do, because I need to downsize my collection
Not the displays
But this shit lmao
Idk why there are Lincoln logs in there, my nephew probably left outside my room and I threw em in there lmao
Shout out the worst cable figure ever
Where proportions went to die
Ah man, I appreciate it
I’ve ngl been collecting Elites and stuff for about 6-7 years, but I’ve always been pretty good at keeping it a hobby thankfully my family taught me about budgeting and stuff surrounding spending habits since before I could even earn income
but there’s definitely been moments where I’ve been on the edge of potentially spending a bit more than I can afford but those were around the time I first started collecting
I remember paying a pretty penny on the red Buddy Murphy around the time it came out
some of these old legends are well legendary
this guy is the oldest I have, not an elite but yeaaaa
Honestly... space... space is what I'm talking about
Obviously never hurt yourself money wise
But you don't wanna end up to where you're buying figures to put on your floor
I've been there
oh nahhh, I’m good on space got a huge bin for em, I feel like if I hit the max capacity for that I’ll have to let some dudes go
Good
there goes my X factor cyclops
got him super cheap, I won’t be sad to let the mf go
I bought figures to buy figures for a long time, still catch myself doing it every now and then
looks at my TNG figures
Lolll, I need to display my boys I’m moving to a new place later in the year I’m hoping I can find some good display shelves and not the glass shelves legit just gimme a shelf with squares
I’ve been there a few times, I legit just had a huge box from ringside the other month just to have more tag teams in the collection
Coming from somebody who doesn't have shelves with glass, I recommend at least getting one with a glass door, because it will save you a headache when it comes to dust
I got the creeds, mcmg, the acclaimed and a Brodie but once I got that I was like, yea I’m good for like 6 months
I’ll have to keep that noted
dust will kick my ass
I have one display with a covering, and that's the Batman display, and it collects no dust on the inside
Well, one of the Batman displays I guess
I hate dusting so like that’s a hella good note
but as for space, as long as I don’t have a house and a ton of storage I think mentally I’ll be out of binge buying
Dust free
honestly, if it was just villains behind their it would work for an Arkham display sort of
these are just beauts
Yeaah I see what you cookin
I appreciate it, I could use a new riddler though
I love old DC Universe Classics
But not everyone needs to be that swole lmao
His face is fucking peak though
I'm really looking forward to seeing what Mattel does with the new DC collector line
bring back the domino mask for the riddler
If they're anything like the upcoming MOTU figures I think we're good
🙏🙏🙏
I’m hoping for good scaling with the legends, or at least the elites
Legends is more likely
These are some of the upcoming MOTU figures
And they've moved to legends scale
So we're guessing DC will be similar
With similar articulation and stuff
I really hate the McFarlands, they work really good for statues and like the base pose
hell yeah
Has always been outspoken about it
And it shows lmao
Cause he's just not very good at it
I wonder why? does bro not like action posses
It surprises me because his art is so dynamic
He doesn't like what it does to the sculpt
Which is why he doesn't put as much effort into the super articulated stuff
His best work in the toy Biz is doing what we call Staction figures
I will say I’ve held his Arkham joker in hand, and that figure is really sweet
They move very slightly
But they're mostly made for detail
He lost the plot when he tried to add more articulation honestly
There's some good ones
my younger brother, he’s about 10? Has the tv show Flash figure and I was so appalled
Mcfarlane toys I used to see at Toys R Us as a kid looked like this
because it doesn’t even look good just standing still with no posing
those look so rad
Mcfarlane Toys were some of the best in the biz in terms of sculpt and detail
But that is no longer the case
Hasn't been for a while honestly
don’t even know this dude, but he’d look so dynamic on every display
the downgrade is crazy
big ass square torso, which yk is fair he’s a super hero
but the arms, legs and head are soooo tiny
legs can’t bend forward
Uggggggggggggghhh
I hate these torsos, man
They have gotten a bit better since then tho tbf
Ya know what tho
Guess how much this costs
175
Idk what that is usd
In my head I wanna say 140
Hhhhhoooooooly
But you get a flimsy plastic diorama!
With a plant!
Shouldn't have been more than $100 if you go by Mcfarlane's standards with their pricing
I think WB is responsible for this tbh
they also botched De Niro badly
Did some hardcore rearranging
This... well... idk what to call this
It used to be the 80's and 90's display
But once Revenge of the Fallen Optimus went up there, it's had an identity crisis
It's still mostly 80's and 90's, you just have to ignore Optimus
And the random bottle of GOT branded Booze
I'm not even a GOT fan nor do I drink Booze lol
Anyway-
As shown here, this is on the very top of these wall shelves
It used to be up here
This was done so my autobots and Decepticons could FINALLY have their own shelves
Finally found a picture to sorta show what it looked like
It's an old picture tho
Missing some Bots
Idk what I did with that shockwave, but he's not in the right scale anyway
neither are Optimus and Megatron but that's okay because I got them big on purpose
But alas
I now need more Decepticons
Oh dear
That'll need to wait tho
Damn, Obi-Wan and his clones are now homeless
I'll figure it out
Shout out jetfire, one of my favorites
He's a big ol boy
And he's also White, and not a weird fucking Scottish man
Why Michael Bay, why
#notmyjetfire
Reshuffled the poses
Speaking of poses this is my favorite pose to do of the ankle lock
Good pose
If you shot it from the top of Hogan's head you could probably get a really cool pic out of it
yeah next time I take this I will take that into consideration thank you
Clawful has joined the evil warriors
Love Clawful.
He's awesome
All the characters from 1982-1985 are pretty great
Not that the line gets bad or anything, but there are less All-timers imo, though there's still plenty
Honestly nah, the whole Vintage line is just kinda awesome, and the entire point of MOTU Classics was to take the vintage toys and bring them up to modern standards, they're basically just 1:1 recreations, which is why this is my favorite line. I do like the stuff that's out now tbh, but it just doesn't appeal to me the same way these do, they're the classic designs, but the detail and sculpt work is amazing.
They were sculpted by 4 Horsemen studios, who are still the best in the business
Enter Bruiser the Beetlejuician Berserker Baboon
This is my Bucky O'Hare display. Really fun toyline/comic/cartoon from the early 90's, was pretty short lived in the grand scheme, but he's got a decent cult following.
I only wanted the crew of the righteous indignation (Bucky's ship) from this line, and sadly Bruiser was the last member made before the line died. We are missing 2 members, which is sad, but this is the MAIN crew so it's okay. I got the other 3 while the line was active, but I was stupid and waited on Bruiser until he disappeared from online stores.
I'm glad I was able to find Bruiser for a decent price
Basically got him for retail
Once the other figures leave online stores, they're all gonna be really annoying to find, so I'm glad I got them while I had a chance
@astral steppe you're like the only one who I think may know what Bucky O'Hare is
You're the right age
Very much so
Shout out the cartoon too
Comic is better, but the show is still fun
Really wish we got to Blinky in this line (eyeball guy)
There's a Marvel character called Blackjack O'Hare.
I assume based off of this?
Nah, coincidence
Bucky, conceptually, was first created in the late 70's, but iirc he never got any media until the late 80's
Blackjack was early 80's
Larry Hama was the co creator of Bucky O'Hare
Just a fan little fact
Oh fuck yes
Very cool figure
Makes me sad He-Man ain't in this style anymore
This the same bodymold that's used with MOTU classics
Super 7 having the rights to use this body comes from when they had the MOTU license, and I'm pretty they got the Thundercats license from Mattel as well
@worn plover my obsession with making Kurt angle specifically making hogan suffer isn’t getting out of hand is it
Doing some work on my MOTU shelves so everyone had to come down
This is a lot of figures
Thinking about how this is only one of my collections makes me very anxious lmao
What have I done
Thinking bout how this wind raider came out for $45
No shot it comes out for less than $80 if it's made today
Enter Battle Armor Skeletor
Battle armor He-Man was my first ever MOTU figure, so it feels nice to have his counterpart
I think this is the only Skeletor figure with regular fuzzy trunks instead of the more Roman style skirt
At least in this line it is
I used to not want to be "guy who owns a bunch of he-mans and skeletors", and now I very much am that guy lmao
And what's funny, I only have 1 alternate version of each, the rest are just normal
If Classics didn't lame out with Flying Fists He-Man, I'd want him
The vintage toy is cool because he's Chromed out
They did not chrome out the classics guy and it's lame
What makes it super lame is that they did chrome out Hurricane Hordak!
But the He-Man who's supposed to fight him just got flat Silver
Lame
Awesome toyline, the best MOTU Toyline imo, but some of the decisions, like this one, were very lame
It's even lamer when you see they chromed out Thunder Punch He-Man
To be fair, though, he came after flying fists, and this was somewhat of a response to the fan disappointment

@onyx abyss you may have fun skimming through this
In the summer of 1986, in a mall in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Mattel Toy Company presented their new line of the Masters of the Universe Toy collection with the use of animatronics and holograms. Rare piece of nostalgia for all of those who grew up in the 1980's. Thank you dad for hanging onto this video and for the memories. Enjoy!
This is honestly a really cool showcase
Hearing people react to seeing these figures the first time is really cool
Okay I lied do not skim this
Watch the whole thing
That was fucking awesome
The lads.
This is so cool.
The projection?
I would have loved going to something like this.
I wasn't ready for that
Same!
No wonder toys sold better back then
Look at that!
So much effort was put into that, it's great.
Messing with my MOTU origins figures, and man, wish I had room to display these guys again
They're in the scale of the original figures
But updated a bit
They are very fun
Scareglow is my fav origins
I would own his classics version, but he's very expensive
Shout out clamp champ and Fisto
Just dude bros
I refuse to only own one of them, and Fisto's classics version is ungodly expensive
Which is why I don't have either
This honestly may be my favorite Skeletor that I own?
Oh well, back in their box and under my bed
I'm currently planning on doing an overhaul of my room, and I plan to get origins displayed again
This is the perfect example of a kids toy that collectors can still get a lot out of, they're well priced and they're fun
Hell, I call it a kids toy line, kids don't buy these lmao
Rearranged the turtles
Now that’s some serious turtle power
Why thank ya
Better picture with some color correction
@worn plover As you can see I got the new Monday night wars ultimate edition stone cold from when he came to the ring in a Zamboni and got arrested
Cool figure
I like the jorts
They actually try with the clothes on the ultimates
Are those jorts real denim?
Yeah
The belt is real leather as well
Probably
I got the figure because I thought the knee brace was awesome and I didn’t have a stone cold figure yet
Throwback
I wish I still had a place to display the van, but on the same token, I have way more room to display the figures
So it is what it is
Man, the days when I didn't even have all 4 of the Turtles in Time bros
The only Turtles in Time villains I had were the foot soldier and slash
Collecting that line was annoying but very satisfying when I completed it
The gang
Never did I actually think I'd be able to get turtles in time figures, so these will always just be super dope to me
I remember when they first unveiled slash many years ago, and I was so fucking excited to see that
He was the first turtles in time dude they revealed
The turtles are technically re-releases from the first arcade game, which they did cover before the turtles in time
I can feel the turtle power in this image
All I'm feeling rn is stress and dread from all these boxes lmao
HEROES IN A HALF SHELL TURTLE POWER
I think I'm going to get rid of the outer shipper boxes, but I'm gonna keep all the Hot Toys boxes themselves
I've got some old shoes and shit in here I need to get rid of too
What I do with all my wrestling figure boxes is cut out the images and make fake titantrons out of those images
That's cool
I mostly throw out packages
But I keep some
It really depends
I keep most of my Neca packages cause they're a bit more expensive and have accessories
If you're over $30 I'll probably keep the box
I may honestly gid rid of my He-Man boxes some day
I have like over 20 of them stacked behind my dresser
I just got my stone cold figure and now I need a rock figure from the 90s maybe cooperate rock figure to really do some posing

Pulled this bad boy out of the closet (ignore the floor, it's all closet junk I'm still working on)
Such an iconic and dope vehicle design
Got this for Christmas in 2012? (I think) during one of the many re releases they've done for the original toyline
I also got Donatello when the only turtle I still needed was Mikey 😭
Took me years to finally get Mikey
He wasn't at Toys R Us the next time I went, and these specific releases were TRU exclusive, so I was SOL
I'm actually about to replace this Donatello with the version I got for Christmas all those years ago lol (I returned it at the time since I already had him). As you can probably tell, Donnie is from a different series than this Brothers (he's also actually a 1st release from the 90's instead of a re release), and while I love my Donnie to death and will keep him displayed on another shelf, I've gotten somewhat tired of him not matching the others.
I do think the Storage shells (Donatello) are the best version of the turtles released in the original line, but I already have them displayed in package, and I'd like to let the 4 OG's have their shine
But fr, the storage shells are so fucking awesome
The faces, the colored belts, all of it
Awesome fucking stuff
If you're wondering why they're called storage shells
They're so fucking cool
They don't look weird on the back because of it either, you get a tiny hinge but it's fine
Genuinely just the best versions of the OG Turtles
I think storage shell Donnie was the first thing I ever gave my Mom money for to buy off EBay lmao
While other kids in 2012 were buying Nike Elite socks and Beats by Dre, I was buying vintage ninja turtles
Hell yeah
Enter Metalhead
I give Super7 some deserved shit, but when they nail it, they nail it
He's legs are kind of loose which makes standing him more annoying than it should be, but it's also not that bad
8/10 on this guy
Full shelf pic with Metalhead
I put him on a riser, as you can see
Figuarts turtles (the cartoon boys up front) are still my favorites outside of the Neca Movie folk
I just painted the white on Donnie's Bo, cause I've been watching the show and that's how it's supposed to look
they even sculpted the wrappings so 🤷♂️
Thinking bout Figuarts Shredder who was cancelled for unknown reasons
They needed to lower his helmet a bit, but damn he looked cool
In the most Figuarts move ever though, he's admittedly too short
Looks cool.
I fucking HATE what exclusives have become man, it really fucking sucks. Retailers nowadays quite literally will often only carry a line if they can have a certain number of exclusives, and this goes across the board, if it goes in retail, you're gonna have to deal with exclusives. The biggest problem here, well, TLDR is that ToysRus went out of business, and they were the only ones good at exclusives lmao. Longer explanation is that our Main retailers that get exclusives are Target and Walmart, and it's a disaster more often than not. They're both HORRIBLE about ordering and stocking said figures, they're both HORRIBLE about Pre-Orders, and have like a 60%+ chance of your shit getting canceled, with Walmart it's honestly closer to 75% chance.
Not only are exclusives bad in general.... then we get shit like this fuckery right here, Neca Haulathon. This is a thing they have set up with Target where they basically do a Mutli-Week long release of certain figures, and it's all set up on a specific end cap dedicated to it. This sounds like it would fine and good, but they ALWAYS make super desired figures a part of Haulathon, and they are ALWAYS a pain in the ass to get. You think the option of having the figures online would also make it easy as pie, but if you've ever experienced how fast Concert Tickets can sell out, Figures are the same way. You can have that shit in your cart and it's sold out by the time you check out.
12 year old me would probably explode if I saw My collection now lmao
I don't even necessarily mean the size, though that would be part of it lol. I mostly mean in regards to the figures that have been made over the years.
In terms of getting super articulated TMNT figures, it was slim pickings for a very long time
I remember when, in regards to normal versions of the Turtles, not counting variants and action feature versions, this was what we had. The guys at the bottom were the closest thing we came to normal Fully articulated turtles, but they weren't even released until I was 13, and I started following the greater Turtles franchise when I was 10. The original Neca Comic turtles are awesome, they always were, but they've always been hard to get... and the red masks automatically makes them more niche, especially if you're a young Cobra who doesn't own any Ninja Turtles. I was never able to find the bottom guys in stores, though I wanted them quite badly, and by the time I could've gotten them, they were outdated as figures, and they didn't appeal to me visually as much anymore.
This set right here though
This shit changed the game forever
It was a SDCC 2016 exclusive so obtaining it was not an option for me at the time, but man.... these things were so awesome at the time.
They were still kinda niche in design due to being based on the arcade game... but within the next few years we did get normal Cartoon Neca Turtles, and now we are where are, every company has made a ninja turtle lmao.
I never even ended up getting the normal cartoon Turtles from Neca because I went with the Figuarts
I did eventually get the arcade Turtles because they were re-released in the Turtles in time series
Oh, I forgot about the 2007 movie figures
They were arguably the best multi colored mask turtles for a while
No ankle movement is a real bummer though
New lights
Looks great.
Thank you, I got some for the top too
Looks really professional.
Well thank you
Idk if I'd quite go that far personally, but it means a lot to hear if
Like... a lot
So thank you
Bit of a crowded market round here
Within the past decade, we've gotten quite a few Mom and Pop's Hobby shops
So, it's whichever happens first
Either Facebook MP guy hits me back about these guys
Or I get lucky and find these guys at Target over the weekend
I didn't get lucky today, but technically the drop isn't officially scheduled till tomorrow
So if FB man doesn't hit me back, I'll go back to Target tomorrow
Gotta love getting up early to hunt for Ninja Turtles
So, update
Facebook man isn't happening
I was accidentally looking at Local listings, and I'm pretty sure he's not gonna ship, and I don't wanna drive out an hour +
So, Target Hunt, here we come
I got really Lucky last time I went looking during Haulathon, hoping I can have the same luck
That's how I got my Baby Turtles
They were released in a very hard to get accessory pack that was dropped during a Haulathon a couple years ago
Words can't explain how lucky it was for me to find it
Really great accessory pack in general
My rocksteady wouldn't have a helmet without it
Why they release rocksteady without his helmet is beyond me, but I guess he don't wear it all the time in the cartoon
The Helmet is more from the Toy
Hm, I guess he only wears the helmet in season 1 (which is just the first 5 episodes)
He loses the camo pants too
He looks more like the toy, but with a yellow tank instead of black
This is what he looks like in season 2 onward
I guess it was just less expensive to not animate the helmet
More accurately, he looks like this
The image above is much more detailed than he is in the show
As for most of these characters tho, the Toy Design wins
The Toy Designs are just kinda peak
Mutagen man is always my prime example
The toy design is SO much cooler
Baxter's Toy Design is also far superior
Shredder though.... he's an exception lmao
He looks much better in the show, I'll never understand what happened here
Why did they paint eyebrows on his helmet
Why isn't he wearing a shirt
Some people don't like the stance, I do, he's a ninja, that's fine
The toon turtles release is the best version imo
His torso is really insane
Bro hasn't drank water in years
Update :
3 targets
No turtles
Apparently the true date for them to be put out is Sunday
I'll check throughout The Weekend
4 targets
No turtles
Gotta love Exclusive figure drops
It's just so great and doesn't kill the fun of collecting at all
I love that they don't put any effort to have this "big collector event" be communicated to any of the employees at any of the stores, thus leaving us to either just eat rocks or be that guy and bug an employee to look in the back room, which isn't a thing most employees really have full access to anyway.
1st target trip of the day : no luck
Onto the 2nd target
Ima hit 3 today
One of them seems like a total bust, so I won't go back to it unless I'm still having no luck tomorrow
Tomorrow should be the day if today doesn't work out
It is the official drop day after all
This shit is just fucked and it could drop on any day during the weekend
Well this is the most tempting shit ever
Not at all what I came for
But also not necessarily something I don't want
I left the 2012 turtles
I hid one of the batches incase I feel weak tomorrow and still have no luck
Went to 3rd target
No luck
Hate this shit
Forgot to add earlier, enter Mirage Comics April
The new new
The banner has been taken down for now
The plan was to put it back, but honestly I may prefer it not being here
Mirage comics
Also she's so real for that
I really am not an inbox collector, I only have the ones I do have in box because I already have the same characters out of box
If you only collect stuff in the box, I'm judging
Take them out of their cardboard prison, goddamnit
It's very funny
But I remember some people genuinely thought it was an evil thing to do lol.
Oh, it is so evil lmao
That's obviously a vintage toy
Should stay in the box
I opened my sealed Kenner Power Loader (aliens, yes, it got a toyline), and I still question myself on that sometimes
But it's so awesome so idc
Sorry Venkman
One of these days I need to get Ripley
Hicks is cool, but Ripley should be there
Bummer that I've misplaced the missile, but I actually think I could find it
I know for a fact that I have come across it within the past month
Very cool.
Put splinter on a taller platform
Enter the original 1988 Turtles
The ones I had before were reissues
These are the real deal
splinter kinda cracked out
That's an issue with like every copy of this splinter lmao
Bro is just on that stuff
Wish I had his little white robe
But also I got him for like $12
So it's okay
Me and the dude at the store were mistaken for what figure it was, we thought it was a movie splinter in the wrong robe
We were right in that this is technically the movie splinter sculpt
But it's not a movie splinter figure
Movie guy has a different paint job
And there's also the first release from secret of the ooze, who was furry
The first movie didn't get any toys back in the day, because Playmates executives who saw an early screening hated it and thought it would kill the franchise
Once the 1st movie made $200 mil against a $20 mil budget, they decided they may have made the wrong decision, so the next 2 movies got figures lmao
I actually really love the 3rd movie figures lmao, despite my dislike of the movie
Turtles in feudal Japan works for toys
I actually have Donnie somewhere, he's missing pieces though, got him for like $5 out of a bin
Big update
My Street fighter figures were moved to another room
So now I have 3 Turtle shelves
They were overfull and crowded, it was very needed
Every shelf has room to breathe now
lol, arcade shredder needs to moved over to the left a bit
Thanks to the new space I just made, enter my first cartoon foot soldier
Their crew is better than your crew
Heavy Duty
Rearranged the cartoon villains and I thought this looked cool
Full shelf with Heavy Duty
Do you have all these, Cobra?
Where the fuck did you find this
I know most of these characters, but some of this is new to me
I've never seen a sky cauldron before
And that looks awesome
I wonder if this is from MOTU classics
That's where we first saw some of these guys
I just found that this is concept art done by Alex Gimenez, but he gave no specific timeframe for when this was done
I think I had a He-Man castle growing up
I remember using it as the stage for all my figure fights
Goku was busting down the gates to beat up HHH
I've always liked Fang-Or
Hell yeah
God I wish I still had those classic Z figures
