In theory that's possible, but let's figure out the underlying problem ๐ Can you tell more what you mean by contrast - is it literally the difference between brightest and darkest areas in the skybox, OR the lighting contribution of said skybox onto the world, or maybe something else?
For the first option, simply having the image in rec709/sRGB colorspace should make it look very close to how it's gonna look inside Sansar at default exposure. For the others, it's more involved.

With HDRIs it's a bit simpler, they need to be converted from Linear sRGB into regular sRGB (gamma 2.2). But I hear your problem happens with regular jpegs as well, that shouldn't happen. We'll need to do some testing on our side, thanks for bringing it to attention ๐
To be absolutely sure in the workflow, how are you preparing the HDRIs for use inside Sansar?
