Description:
The jungle does not welcome the living. The lower city chokes beneath a tangle of vines, its streets swallowed by towering trees whose webs of roots and branches shelter creatures older and hungrier than humankind. Within the city walls, the only danger comes from your neighbours. Beyond them, beneath the cobblestones, something far older stirs. The Queen’s dragon dreams in the depths, it's Onyx scales only greeting the surface to protect its bonded and the city she rules.
To bond with a dragon is no privilege for common mortals. It is a power born only in the veins of royalty, carried through bloodlines older than the walls themselves. But the onyx beast beneath the city has no care for tradition not since it's last rider the previous king. It's choices are no longer chained.
A faceless intermediary delivered your summons, citing a name, a recommendation. All you know is someone powerful is in need.
Why take the job? For coin? For power? For answers? Or simply because survival leaves little room for refusal?
The crown teeters on the edge of scandal and bloodshed. Court is now a labyrinth of lies and shifting allegiances. Every royal heir feels the shadow of the inevitable war for the throne, and when the first dragon’s roar cuts through the sky, there will be no time left to breathe. No walls will shield you. No neutrality will save you. So they cannot afford to leave anything up to chance.
Choose your allies wisely. Decide where you stand- or be swept aside another bloodied unknown face in the rubble. Love, betrayal, ambition, and ruin will all bare their teeth before this is over.
