Description:
Omvera is a modern world turned world of fantasy roleplaying game set in todays times, the world has changed 3 years ago and your story starts after your character has had that much time to adjust to the changing world. Even Before the first day of the campaign since the worlds beginning it was the subject of influence from beyond the boundaries of our 'universe'. Its very creation is due to the direct weaving of the goddess Alnea, a young and innocent goddess who only wishes to create perfect, happy worlds. She's done so in the past much to the spite of other gods with less talent. Which is why our world, Earth, is dangling as a target for malevolent older gods attempting to hamper her. At first it was slight, leading up to only a few strange occurrences throughout the course of human history, however even the slight influence caused great tragedies such as WW1, WW2, the black plague, and many other horrendous stains on our history. By corrupting the hearts of mortals, and sometimes the fabric of the world itself 'Nightmares' are created as a byproduct. Some nightmares possess others turning them into dark versions of themselves not envisioned by Alnea, others take the form of exotic, mysterious, and terrifying creatures. Malign divine powers focused themselves on Alnea's dream and began to corrupt the world throughout its history. 3 years ago, 3 years before your start to this campaign this influence reached its head when a cataclysmic event later dubbed the 'Picaro Blight' shook the earth with terrible quakes and tidal waves as each and every land mass on the earth was forced together into a massive super continent which completely destroyed old borders and norms. The global landscape shifted overnight. This vast influence has sent out memories and energies over the world after the formation of a massive black dome over the earth which has somewhat informed Alnea's creations of the situation they now find themselves in. Stories live, superstition reigns, and fears manifest devils. (more in your Bonds tab on this.) Causing some countries to ally together and shift the worlds balance. Some seek to aid the goddess others can't trust a higher being at all and wish to find another answer. Which road will you take in this world full of nightmares and mysteries?
The Campaign is a healthy mix of text and voice chat rp(leaning to voice when possible.), text during downtimes and spaces where you can't commit to the time of a longer chapter. Voice chat when a time for a session aligns or a big event has arrived. If a big event is held off long enough due to scheduling issues, even if it's a joint event, it will eventually be moved to the text rp section if the story is held off for far too long.
This is a two shot with the potential to continue on to a longer 4-5 act campaign with the right applicants. Dm me.
