The brave, poor souls are subdued for daring to fight back or stand out. Prisoners en-route to their interrogation, not yet abandoned by friends who are prepared to rescue them. Classic scenario I'd like to try out as my first foray into Fate Core, with the details about how and why (being the fun part) collaborated together with the players - both the Prisoner(s) and their Rescue Party are going to be players, the first moments of the session presenting how they bust their buddy out.
Time: Next Sunday, starting between <t:1704636000:T> to <t:1704646800:T>, around four hours with a follow-up session or two if you'd like to
Format: Live Text via Foundry VTT, voice chat optional for OOC commentary
I like to think the text format's permission for simultaneous scenes engages everyone from the get-go, and has a focus on detail which I'm curious to see play out in Fate Core.
System: Aspects and Skills are changed up according to "Fate Plus Cyberpunk", see the details here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RzcUHJace2xc33jGpe8pHziJ6ApVrYQW6Vk08e2uxu4/edit?usp=sharing
I've also got a custom Fate Sheet with these aspects in place and an easy-to-read skill list, should be a breeze to fill out!
For the greater setting we can keep things simple, as this is a one-shot; the gist is that it's an ecologically-disastrous Earth with the usual cyberpunk dystopias, a little more low-tech and colourless than most (Brutalist Architecture outside the finest cities), there's a rebellious Mars and a technocratic Moon out there which won't concern our ground level... probably.
Big thing is that divine powers exist, angels and demons are fighting over the mortal world (ala Doom Reboot) with humanity being the tormented creations of Phobos - a God thriving off their suffering. All this supernatural overhead is up to your preference, it's there for anyone more Shadowrun-inclined or those interested in cults & spellcasters.
