System: DnD 5e
Date/Time: Fridays 10:00 pm Eastern time (non-negotiable)
Available Spots: 0/3
Preferred Player Experience: Experienced/Veteran

Game Description:

The continent of Xanthea began during the time of the Golden Dawn, a period when light emerged when only shadows stalk the land. 7 Lord Paragons rose to defend the Kingdom of Lore and drove the forces of Ruination back to their realm. The Lord Paragons forged 7 great countries to act as pillars for humanity and act as a sword that cuts the ties of the Harrowing from the continent.

But those glory days are over, for 6 centuries, 6 Paragons fell and their light diminished, they grew old and only a fraction is left in each country. The last Lord Paragon stands vigil but even he cannot stay forever. Our story begins at the Warring States period, countries have been reduced to nothing more than mere fiefs and corruption spreads throught out the land. The Kingdom of Lore still stands vigil against the forces of Ruination, but they cannot defend no longer as the 6 countries without their ruling Lords have their intentions set on their own interests and the Harrowing plague their thoughts.

The Continent will now plunge into another era of chaos. Where will you place yourselves in this story?

  1. No.

  2. Balanced. A good character with good capabilities. I try to input what isn't present within a group.

  3. Almer, my wood elf barbarian. He is just my favorite for his sheer stupidity and big ol' down-to-earth heart.

  4. Overwhelming Immaturity amongst players and 15+ minute-long pre-session banter. We start on time and I expect to end on time.

  5. Yes. It works for me.

  1. None

  2. The Paladin Archetype, being able to tank damage and heal. (Note that loving paladin archetype doesn't mean I always play paladin, I will play a mechanically paladin like class like Artillerist Arti-Fighter, Dodge Tanking cleric with spiritual weapon, or a Pala-Druid Wolf that smites with it's bite.

  3. Jerome Martine, The Human Inquisitor (Fighter Cleric). Born and run away from a tragic past, taken in by the church and find solace in the eye of The Watcher (Helm). Had to watch her entire party died in front of her to a monster night attack, and after ending up in another party, she swan to protect her new found allies as the beacon of hope, the party's Shield as long as she stands. (yes its a she)

  4. So previous campaign,
Strike 1: had an unprepared DM who had 2 weeks (counting 3 since he had to cancel the previous-previous week before I came into the picture).
Strike 2: half the party member did not have a character fully made with their backstory (one person didn't even have a character sheet on roll20)
Strike 3: someone decided to eat chips loudly into the mic and gave a dismissive sarcastic joke response when was asked to stop or use push-to-talk (still eats his chips loudly into the mic)
Strike 4: someone was playing a 17 year old teenage girl and it sounded pretty creepy
Strike 5: The DM in all its glorious unprepared-ness complains all game about how bad roll20 was (its not that bad.....) instead of actually learning the vtt and forgot to mention or gives any hints about the boss's damage resistances.
TL:DR DM Be prepared, vet your player and take player feedback; Players show some decent courtesy and a level of maturity, and for the love of Tiamat don't be a creep.

  5. Yes I can show up at the mentioned time.

  1. Nope

  2. Balanced, I do like to RP a lot and make a strong character, not some OP meta build, just a fairly strong character.

  3. Ezequiel Lewis, a Human Fighter born in 1830s Earth, the setting has portals from different universes snd dimensions, he was kidnapped from his home universe and taken to this one and must find his way back home.

  4. Dm would roll individually for each enemy’s initiative in fairly large combats which took up a ridiculous amount of time.

  5. Yes.

  1. Are there any contents that you don't want to appear during our sessions?

Anything really sensitive or creepy.

  1. What is your goto playstyle?

Support or defender. I usually like playing frontliners that supports the group, like ancestral guardian, way of mercy monk, etc. Something that can help keep the others going through battle and doing enough damage to let my allies finish them off. My main go to classes are swords bard, armouer artificer, paladin, or way of mercy monk. If not I fill in whatever role the party needs.

  1. What is a character you have enjoyed playing and why?

Agave the Artificer Grung. A battle smith that always thought he wasn't good enough to be called a hero due to his small height and lack of physical strength. Despite this he always used his intelligence in order to wield his weapons and magic. Carefully planning out attacks and figuring out problems for the group. While people are low on HP he would heal his allies believing he needs him more than they need him.

During his travels he gained more confidence and returned to his original home, there he fought a Dragon alongside his allies. Officially saving his hometown and proving to himself that being a hero can be accomplished in his own unique way, becoming the new sheriff (Themed around Cowboys). Accomplishing his dreams as a hero. This was during the time I was new to DnD so it holds a special place in my heart, due to his story having a satisfying conclusion.

  1. What are your dislikes in previous campaigns? (ex. long combat times)
  1. When players made jokes that were too edgy. (Unfunny racist, or homophobic jokes).

  2. Long combat because players would take too long to decide what to do. I don't mind this as much because usually the players end up improving.

  3. No proper communication, either from players or DMs. Not wanting to discuss out of game problems or help solve them.

  1. Is the date and time set above a green light for you? Yes, I can show up during that time.
