System: Heavily homebrewed system of my own creation. It's called Mortality and I'd be happy to explain it in DMs.

Preferred Player Experience: I would prefer players to have experience roleplaying and while TTRPG experience isn't required, a basic grasp on D&D 5e combat is recommended.

The Hanged Ones is a game that is heavily themed around Tarot, though not a traditional tarot deck but instead one of my own devising. There aren't any typical classes such as Fighter or Wizard but instead, each player will draw from the major arcana of The Seer's Deck which will determine their class. The classes are homebrewed to 5th level which is as far as the game will go in terms of level. As mentioned, these will not be typical classes like Fighter or Wizard and will instead be things such as "The Beast" or "The Wanderer" etc.
Players are allowed one redraw and then get to choose which class they would like to play.
Additionally, each character is able to draw once from the Allegory Deck which contains cards both sinful and virtuous. All cards grant a boon and have an effect which can be used once per long rest however while more powerful, sinful cards are paired with a bane to a character. A character gets the option to draw from the allegory deck after each level up but may not discard a card which is drawn nor able to redraw a card unless some other feature allows them to do so.
When a character gains Inspiration, they can choose to immediately spend the inspiration to draw from the minor arcana of the Seer's Deck gaining a random effect which can be triggered under certain conditions.
While I am in the process of continuing to develop a full major and minor arcana, the wait time for this game may be a couple of weeks before it starts up but if you're interested please submit an application 🙂
