Description: You are residents of Wolfbane, a small village on the Eastern end of Evershade Isle. Just off the coast of the continent Terrynth, yours are lives of fear, and a constant readiness to hunt - it's necessary here. Evershade Isle is plagued with a curse of the foulest kind: the curse of Lycanthropy. When a local townswoman goes missing, it falls to you to search for her, and the discoveries you make launch you into an adventure you always prayed you may avoid.
The Destruction of Darkness sets you in a world whose aesthetic is primarily like gothic horror; while you aren't in a straight-up medieval setting, you aren't in a steampunk era - you're in a time period where guns are commonly put to use, but the invention of a multishot rifle is considered remarkable. The story is very Skyrim or Breath-of-the-Wild-esque; you are presented with an open world in which there is a main story, but you are not required to follow it, at least not past the introduction. This will be a long-term campaign; we'd be looking at several months if the main story is at least partially followed.
As a DM, I tend to lean toward a very cinematic feel; I play ambient sounds when I don't have music on, and I lean into voice-acting heavily. However, it may be important to note that I'm a very off-the-books DM. During encounters, I just come up with a set HP and AC for the enemy you're facing, and let the fight begin.
With that, I hope to hear from you soon! Direct messages are preferred if you'd be interested, and a server will be made when we have our full party. Hope to see you out there!
