Description: A long time ago, humanity lived with the Legulus. They were a race of beings who could turn dust to food, air to energy. Our lives were harmonious, many survived in the meccas that these powerful beings made. These domes were called Communions, a nigh-deathless place. Your body could cease but your mind wouldn't. The Legulus wanted a permanent cure for death though.
The promise of a future cure for death brought many humans to the Communes. The government and media labelled them as cultists. Now seen as an enemy, the Legulus turned their land to spaceships and left Earth.
One day, angels fell to earth, the Venators were here to cull humanity. The Magnas were hundred-foot angelic statues that burned from the fall to earth. Before this, a group called the CRC had reverse-engineered the technology of the Legulus and used this information to create a retaliation.
The Preservation Force was born. They originally used robots but transitioned to using Saints. Saints were the corpses of Magnas, cloned and modified into mechas. Though they needed a pilot, or else they'd simply revert to their monstrous behaviours. Adults' brains were developed, so they couldn't control and grow with their Saint. A child would be too immature but connect better- so young adults (18-24) are the recruits chosen.
