#Role/Loadout Declaration Icon

For multiplayer pub matches (especially for mute lobbies) it would be useful to have some sort of icon (A2A, A2G, Transport, SEAD, etc) showing player intentions. Currently I drop into spectate to check each player loadouts when I first join but sometimes it's not enabled and it would be beneficial to have it next to player names once they claim a vehicle so that as other players join they can see what is needed for the mission.

Giving the host options to set the role declarations on empty slots would also allow them to encourage players that join to take up any needed priority roles as host deems them. This would not have any effect on the loadouts / loadout limitations.

That would be nice

This would be so nice, secoded.

This would make sense as a mission editor feature:
A mission creator would declare possible roles, then select roles from this set to expose to each player slot.

this is already partially done through missions designed with squads in mind. I.e. briefings often declare "Zulu squad is SEAD, Alpha is CAP" etc., but a more clear system might be nicer . . .

Potentially with the new frequency updates, players would also be able to declare a frequency that they will be using for that set task (Ex. SEAD on xxx.xx)

I just want to add if this a thing if there’s no input from the player auto select the weapon they have the most of as the basis for there role. Harms/dead 120/cap etc

Like the "Recommended" but auto-equipped on join that players can edit once in the slot?

would be nice but i thought thats what the letter groups was for? if you look at the lobby menu in the mfcd's its next to their nametag?

#

when i make missions i restrict the loadouts to specific letter groups like alpha restricted to a2a weapons, golf restricted to a2g weapons, sierra restricted to sead weapons etc?

#

then i always give each group access to aim-9's incase they run into anyone

That feature relies on the mission makers and locks that aircraft+slot to that specific role - this would allow for mapmakers to choose to leave more slots open so that people can choose what aircraft + loatout they want to take

Allows for giving players open vehicle slots and having them organize how they want to use that specific aircraft in the scenario
