When AI planes do short-take offs from the Assault Carrier because their TWR is too low, they frequently won't tilt their engines down to the 45 degree angle specified in the code. Instead, they'll tilt it down to ~7 degrees, accelerate, then only tilt it down fully right before they hit take-off speed. After they lift off from the deck, they'll bob the nose up and down like the pilot is throwing the stick back and forth. They only stabilize once they reach flight speed and tilt their engines back up. This behavior is most obvious with F-45, though I have seen it happen with AV-42s as well.
#AI Planes don't deal with short take-off very well.

Not gonna lie, the AI in this game, in some planes specifically, are in desperate need of reworking.
Some weapons don't work for them, some take offs don't work, combat AI makes them entirely ignore enemies and waypoints and orbits and just fly in dead straight lines at full afterburner, they refuse to engage when they don't fly in straight lines, they constantly disengage for no reason...
