Hi everyone!

We are very excited to share that Johan Scherft, the amazing artist responsible for the beautiful paintings for Rusty Lake has been secretly working on his own game for a while! And it is a game about cats! 😻 Through our publishing program at Second Maze, we were more than eager to jump at the opportunity to help make his creation reality (if I fits I sits).

Without further ado, we’d like to announce Milo and the Magpies, an atmospheric point-and-click puzzle game with beautifully hand-painted backgrounds and characters! 🐾🐈

So if we look at the images at the end of the demo and on the itch.io page we can actually learn a lot about the order these levels will take place in, for example the level with the kids and the slide will take place after the last level of the demo (since we see the shed to the left of the image), and after that will be the level with the old lady and the old man with binoculars (we see the old lady to the right of the kids level), as for the pianist's garden and the hippie's level, we know that we will play the pianist level first and the hippie level will be right after that one since we can see the same window layout on those images.

Just beat the game today on stream :D!
There was a bug where the neighbor cat, didnt want to ||jump on the Bird that leads to the door knob|| to exit the room. Had to close the game and come back in. Did that and loaded with the cat right where I needed xD. Loved the game :3 !

'The game is not related to Rusty Lake. There is only one small element which shows a small reference, but it is small and I doubt few will notice it'.
You can find it ||in level 7||, but don't expect too much though 🙂

Hey, I don’t know where to express this, but I just wanna thank the developers for making Milo and the Magpies game.

The game really reminded me of the kind of games that I used to play growing up when the internet was still pretty new to a lot of people. It’s almost extremely nostalgic, from the artstyle and game design to the vibe and story. I just really love it.
