hi! for paradox c2, i dont really get how the time on the clock is given by the window frames? watched the walkthrough several times but still cant make sense of it ;w;

he wall with the skull is for 11(globe), 12(skull) and 1 o'clock. The wall to the right is for 2,3(window) and 4 o'clock. And the wall to left is for 8,9(door) and 10 o'clock. Basically each wall covers 3 hours on the clock and u have to look were the objects signed with dot and x stand.

So for the first one the time to set it to is 11:45, with the hour hand (•) on 11 and the minute hand (X) on 9.
and for the second one the hour hand (•) on 3 and the minute hand (X) on 12.

basically like i said before each wall covers 3 hours on the clock and you just have to look at where the objects signed with the dot and the x stand it's quite complicated so i gave you the awnser

The clue is in one of the books where it shows a clock with the deers head at the top and the window at the bottom.

I do not get it though, but if you really see the each shadow, as the globe shadow can be like a clock piece, its like watching a sand -dial sort of speak. @deft mulch if you have really pay attention to shadows moving in a room, you can really tell what time frame you are in.

I ended up playing a bizarre order because I came in just before bday and hotel, and it was on some game site like kongregate or something

So I just played them as I found them

The first one I played was mill, and because the default start screen is the side of the room with the machine, the “look left” arrow was hidden by the shadows of the gears

I spent ages moving the ankle clasps around with nothing happening because I thought the machine was the only thing in the game 😃

That ties into the theory, actually. If you assume Paradox takes place after birthday, then having his parents in his mind doesn't really make sense because he saves them (assuming he's changing the past). But if Birthday actually takes place after Paradox, then it makes sense chronologically."

wow I just noticed. The mashine is not the same for Laura and Dale. Laura only has a chain that brings that box on her head, while Dale's has this red lights thing too. It's like Dale is the only one with the potential to get something from the mashine, while Laura can only give. I quite long wondered why only Dale seems to have multible options and potential in the game's while Laura not nearly as much. Maybe this somewhat explains it.

her being the lake makes some sense. With the green vial you sacrifise your self for the lake to be gratefull, and the one seeming greatfull is Laura.
Also in the book, the text seems to be related with the Lake.
But it's hard to conect it with her reincarnation from William.

I have finished the Lake, and I have a strange thing, it shows two shadows, one fully clothed, meaning what if that was Dale.

One of the most fun things (for me) is to figure out the stuff on my own and if anything is too hard I'd result for help for only that part and try on my own afterwards

please some one explain Paradox part 2 for me?

The thing about Paradox is that it takes place in Dale's mind while he's hooked up to that machine at the end of The Cave. So it didn't necessarily happen in the real world, it was more of a test Mr. Owl put him through because Mr. Owl wants to make Dale the next ruler of the lake. We don't know why he picked Dale, or what's going to happen to Mr. Owl.

In the second chapter, Dale wakes up again in the room because, like I said, it's all happening in his mind. Mr. Owl/Mr. Crow make him face the traumas of his past, I suppose to help prepare him to become the next ruler of the lake.

Then he has to face his corrupted soul, and he kills Laura, but we know from the previous games that Laura was killed by her corrupted soul, not Dale's. We know that, with the elixir, one person dies and another reaches enlightenment, so I think Dale killing Laura in Paradox is more metaphorical. Like, he indirectly killed her by reaching enlightenment, since that means the other person has to die.

There's another ending for chapter 2- if you find the five achievements, you get the golden cube, which has the power to change the future, and then go up in the elevator. I think this is supposed to be the canon ending, since you give Dale the golden cube at the end of the cave, and then he goes into the elevator. This leads into Birthday and Theater.
