I liked Roots more, again because of characterization. I enjoyed playing through Roots again while playing the levels in different orders. I might do a branch at a time or go chronologically.
And at the end of roots I felt like I learned a lot more about Laura. With paradise, I learned a lot about Mr Owl, but the game raised more questions than it answered.

Tbf, the game art ia very simple it doesn't allow for a great level of finer details. Obviously this isn't an issue when you're doing a copy of Van Ghogh's immpressionistic style, but it is if you're trying to show a realistic painting, and it's not like there weren't realistic paintings at the time.
I'd say it could definitely be a painting.
As a side note though @broken void the furst recognisable picture of a person wasn't taken until 1839 and it's basically a blur because it required staying motionless for about (I wanna say...) 10 minutes. So it's nit likely they'd have had such a crisp clear photo.
Boulevard Du Temple, the first know photograph of a recognisable person (as in they can be identified as a human). A man getting his show shined and a shoe shine boy who were in the same position long enough to get a photo. This street would have actually been really busy but no one else shows up in the image.

Actually in this case, it feels pleasant to pay for the game. Because paying for the game or music or film these days, you show that you find it outstanding in its way as well as worth this money. The price of Chapter 2 isn’t big at all - it’s a shame to complain. Especially for a game of this kind and popularity (agree that the series has become much more known than it was for example 2-3 years ago)

I want to say - both Movie and Game came out fantastic! I love it, although I kind of got stuck on chapters from time to time ^^;
But also, If I wouldn't play one of the Cube Escapes, then I wouldn't met so lovely people here that enjoy the game that much as I do.
Just to say short - I was an emotional mess years and years ago, and after seeing Cube Escape games like about idk 1-2 years ago? I don't fully remember but, the games, news about new games, soundtracks etc. helped me to cope with some stuff, cause it always makes me happy to see a RL game, news about something new or even soundtrack. (Sorry if the part "If I wouldn't play..." for you all is kind of unnessessary ^^; just wanted to take something off my big heart )
