well, from my whole experience - if you avoid something, you won't much learn how to draw them, sometimes even began to lose a way you drawn them before (it's temporary, it gets back to ya once you start drawing again, at least happened to me). I mean, hands surely are hard, but at least I didn't drew both hands being left... :') so I'm glad I jumped over that thing before I got to practice hands
