Okay so guys... in Poland we have this tradition (well, now in Śląsk, but I have memory of doing it too) where (usually classes) build effigy with stuff like straw, cloth and some decorations like necklaces etc. etc. then later we go nearby river, burn it and/or drown it in the river, to bring back Spring. It's Slavic thing, and the effigy (in Polish named Marzanna) means winter and death.
