I was just on a logn roadtrip and we were driving through some very rural roads, and my friend and I saw some weird things, like most notably an old church whose brick wall pattern and placement created an optical illusion that made it look like the church was moving toward the road. it was already weird because we hadn't expected the route to be so rural, but after this the woods started getting more piney and I made a joke about his gps secretly taking us to the hidden location of Rusty Lake. about a minute after this, a large crow carrying a mouse flew over the road. needless to say we were spooked

Last Thanksgiving my mom came over to my place for the first time. She noticed the big back yard and that my dog is only about 14 pounds, so she told me I should be careful of hawks because they'll pick my dog right up. I told her I'd never seen a hawk around. Within a week I looked out on the back deck and saw one, a fairly big hawk just perched on the corner railing stud. I think she cursed us. I'm not sure why. It's not like the turkey was dry.

Sorry RED, I struggle to understand the idea that something is forced. It's a pretty common complaint about media trying to represent disenfranchised groups. Like take Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. Maybe it wasn't the best, but so many people complained that there were two female playable characters, one male, and one robot. One guy that sticks out in my mind said the devs were shoving it down their throats.
But I think about it like this: How many games have only male playable characters? How many shows have only straight relationships? For those people who don't get to see themselves at all, you think it would be refreshing for them, wouldn't it?
