Imagine a cube esape game that instead of taking place in a one room cube, it was in a cube of 2 rooms by 2 rooms by 2 rooms. A large building like a mansion, and the entire game is in that structure without leaving it or transforming it.
It would be eight rooms in total, and with each having four sides to shift between that would be 32 sides you could face. That might seem like a lot, but not all of the rooms need walls between them. Some could just be an open space that you click to walk forward in.
The closest comparison to this would be Hotel which had five fully fleshed rooms (plus some extra with the lobby and ||Mr.Owl's room|| that had less going on in it) so this would be theasible as well since that's basically over 20 fully designed sides to face. This game would give the feeling of accomplishment by gradually unlocking new areas to go through.

I have been playing some other Escape games online to enjoy them before flash ends, and there are a lot of things I'm noticing that Rusty Lake does right where a lot of other escape games fail in.
For example, visual clarity is a big thing. I've seen three different escape games where a random floorboard or section of the floor with very little if any highlighting end up being important, but that isn't in Rusty Lake games at all (closest thing was the boards you had to use the crowbar in inside of the cabin).
One of the most frustrating escape series I've played is the "The Great [insert room type here] Escape" series. It has this art style that I think is trying to be like Doctor Suess, but it makes it so there is zero distinction between what you can or can't interact with. In 'The Great Kitchen Escape' a massive orange radio besides the door out isn't an object you can interact with, but a completely empty blue countertop besides an oven is something you're supposed to put a bowl on.
