if you havent gptten help already, i could give some pointers
( of course mainly comfirmed and very likely events as to not delve too deep into assumptions )
just shoot em a message I guess!
Anyone wanna play
If you have the full version you can try on #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player
Or if you wanna play the demo version try #🔎|find-lite-partner
Guys pls who is the "she" they're talking abt in the game, the girl in the yellow dress
i can't keep curiosity anymore
Omw to click on every single metro game spoiler cause I really like clicking and have 0 self control
also mod's when the exact anniversary date?I'd want to get my fanart done by then so it would be a good thing do know
I think it's technically today? If you go by game release date
feck
Early or Late - your anniversary fanart is still valid to show as an anniversary piece :)
fair
(This photo was taken in Kowloon Park in Hong Kong yesterday.)
It seems there is a comic regarding Cube Escape, Paradox to be precise. Where do I purchase it?
I thought Cube Escape only has games.
I’m afraid the comic book is no longer available for the purchase
There’s also a short film! 😅
Yeah, Cube Escape: Paradox has a light film.
And as a Cube Escape fan, I don't understand what the film is talking about.
I always though the film was like a mix of both Paradox chapters + a hint for in game achievements
somehow I expect chad Bob to write about how he feels about the demo
Maybe we should send him an email
since I saw him playing as well yesterday
I mean chad chad Bob
Aha
I thought you meant Laura's ex
Too many lake bobs
Exactly
no luck?
Cube escape>>>
ive already shared this on twitter, but ill be sappy here too
has anyone ever been interested in the lore of something, but couldn't tell what was happening in it?
all of us!
indeed
Rusty Lake made me realise that I'm a really patient man. Not me taking an hour to complete a jar puzzle
that's me with rusty lake
my favourite RL moments have definitely been working with the community to figure out puzzles / secrets / args
i have no idea what's going on but I'm still interested in it
🟨My friend introduced me to rusty lake last summer and I’ve adored it ever since
My favorite rusty lake momwnt was my mom watching me burst into tears during the timed puzzle section of case 23 and just laughing at me bc she didn't understand why i was so terrified of the corrupted soul
My favorite memory of Rusty lake has to be when I was just scrolling on the AppStore and found Samsara room. I downloaded it and tried to play it. I checked if there was more games and there was. I ended up playing each one :))
my most treasured memory is playing the full cube escape seasons with my sister, and we being dumb and getting stuck every 2 minutes lol, we were very happy with every game beaten
Happy eighth birthday to Rusty Lake! This series helps me with my emotions, and I love the characters 🙂
🟨 My favorite moment is when I solved the entire game without looking up walkthrough which barely occurs but I did manage to solve theatre by myself in 2016! Of course discussing theories with the community is also entertaining and valuable
Rusty lake is also the first series I've ever gotten to 100% on achievements :)
Rusty Lake made me feel, what I can change my future, while my past is cleaned. And what about memory.. Rusty lake told me how to measure with a scale and solve water problems
tbh though the fact that you need to pay for half of paradox kinda sucks in my opinion
not too much of a problem though, but still
My favorite rusty lake memory has been trying to summarize the relationships between the games and characters we’ve been introduced to this far and going through every game to replay constantly. Happy 8th birthday 💕
🟨 oh man how do you pick a best memory with Rusty Lake...? I've been a fan for years now, after finding some of the early Cube Escape games on Kongregate and deciding this is something I'm very very interested in, and here we are now... I think my best memories would be the White Door ARG, the absolute chaos and frantic energy of watching people race to the cubes and all of us scrambling to decode everything... that was an incredible event to be a part of. Second is playing TPW with my friend, who is familiar with Rusty Lake but not as acquainted with how the internal logic of the puzzles tend to go, so we had a great experience trying to communicate those things to each other haha. Thirdly I'll pick my favourite game in the series, Hotel, just because I love the vibes and aesthetics and have for a long time. Here's to 8 more years AT LEAST
🟨 My favourite moment is when I finished my first rusty lake game, paradox. I was with my best friend (now girlfriend) and it was was so thrilling, we had so much to talk about afterwards
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RUSTY LAKE! YOU DESERVE THE LOVE OF THIS COMMUNITY!
I really enjoyed the ending of the white door and the storytelling that lead up to it!
It’s so worth it though. I thought the exact same but then when i actually bought it and It’s totally worth it
That RL anniversary cake is so pretty!
I remember (and I will never forget
) when I first played Seasons- I looked at the moon in Summer and the jumpscare made me drop my phone in my face. I got unreasonably scared of Seasons afterwards, played the entire Cube Escape series and left Seasons last. Only to find that the moon thing wasn't as scary as I remember it
That's definitely my favorite memory. Happy Anniversary, Rusty Lake! I'm so happy I found your games
The cubes become pearls of WISDOM?! jk
At least you can sneak into the office
🟨I was approximately 10 yrs old when I saw RL Bday in my uncle's phone.
Internet was big deal at that time, next time I played when theatre came. So thankyou RL for making my life awesome
I was there a few weeks ago!
I shouldve postponed my trip clearly
🟨 I found the samsara room on Miniclip during a computer class. I clicked out so fast when the part with the naked dead body happened 😂. Happy Anniversary RL!
My favorite memory is when me and my friend spend the entire day only getting all of the achiviments in every RL game. That was really special for me bcs i love that series and i love my friend, thanks Rusty Lake, you made part of my life for years and happy anniversary!!!
hope in the future we got more games to play
love from brazil🇧🇷
My favorite memory is whenever I start a new RL game, it is sooo amazing, you don't know what will happen!
Rusty lake appeared in my life when I had hard time keeping everything together. I wasn’t feeling I was worth something. But when I first played I realised that I am pretty smart and being different from others is not bad at all! Thank you all for these beautiful games!
LMAOO we all've been there
🟨I’ve played it I think every rusty lake game with my best friend. Once we went back to her room after a party senior year to play. I was falling asleep on myself but I managed to rally so we could keep playing. Many good memories playing the game with her 🟨
same though^ playing the games on my grandmas computer in the living room
I was playing the cube escape seasons with my friend and there is a moment when the chandelier turned into an eye and we starded laughing
After a few minutes my friend said 'jebać konfidenckie żyrandole' wich translates to fuck confidend chandeliers, it's our inside joke for 3-4 years now
I Think i hold paradox in my heart the closest just because it's the game that got me into the series. I think I had seen it on my then iPhone's Apple store as an anticipated new release, so I downloaded it, bought the full game, and experienced it. I had no idea what was going on, but I was so pulled into the story, i just had to keep collecting the games! I think my favorites are Roots or Paradise. I've played all of the games, minimum 3 times each.
My favourite memory is when I found this server and realised I’m not alone. None of my friends and family get why I like Rusty lake that much.
we're all in the lake with you!
a single favourite memory is hard. I was introduced to it by a friend who I've now lost contact with, so it always reminds me of her. It got me into Twin Peaks, which I now love. I remember joining the White Door ARG while hiding my phone under the table during maths class, that was such a crazy day! I think I ended up being one of the first people to enter the codes. Now I have a beautiful tattoo which reminds me of the quotes I try to keep in mind, "All that you touch, you change" and "the past is never dead, it's not even past", and all the good and bad that come with them. Also C U B E
I met the Rusty Lake by getting a free copy of Hotel through Steam, i didn't download it for about a year, then someday i decided to hop on it with a friend, and I fell in love with the graphics and the puzzles. To be honest i first downloaded the others from, let's say, shady ways, but i remember opening up the Roots page on Steam and seeing all the achievements: I had to get them, and so i bought them all in a bundle and started grinding for achievements. Little did i know I would 100% Roots in one day and literally felt bad for not knowing everything about the characters and the lore. And here I am, still screaming from the presence of ||Rose and Young Laura|| in yesterday's demo and shaking for excitement for the new puzzles 🟨
What can I say: came for the achievements, stayed for the lore, fell in love with the community

Happy 8th birhtday Rusty lake!🌸 my best memory is overall finding these games and immersing myself into this universe. I remember first playing and being so scared and terrified when I first so corrupted soul. Hahah good times good times. Can’t wait for the new games and adventures with Rusty lake community!🥺❤️😇
🟨 my favourite memory from rusty lake was playing tpw with my family :)
Also happy birthday!
This person is a certified cool person
My favourite moment was when i started playing paradox on a twitch stream, i just wanted to try some free indie Games, and then i found this underlying story.
I don't and didn't have a lot of followers on My streams, but the people that followed the streams were hooked, when we finished Paradox was the Best felling!! The chat and i loved it.
Yess! We all gotta keep our first game dear, it was Samsara Room for me (I still don't understand the birds puzzle entirely
)
Oof but I think my favorite memory the more i think about it was participating in the White Door ARG! It's the first time I became part of something like that. I didn't get too far on my own, but it was fun trying to figure out the puzzles and discuss ideas with the rest of the community.
My favorite memory was revisiting the first 9 Cube Escape games with my best friend. He's awful with puzzles that don't make logical sense and I'm awful with number and pattern memorization so together, we had a lot of fun
🟨 One of my favorite Rusty Lake memories is actually of my first time playing a RL game— I’d downloaded seasons to play on a plane trip, and totally wasn’t expecting it to be spooky! I got so nervous while playing it that I had to put it down for a bit, which is funny to look back on. Another treasured memory is finding John Wolfe’s RL videos on YouTube after finishing paradox, since it led me to watching more of his content, and now he and his wife are some of my favorite YouTubers/streamers 🙂
🟨 can I please express my love for this ost https://youtu.be/86maydoVDjY
This is my most favourite memory, the serial, untouchable, unexpected feelings that this ost gives me. I felt like someone out there knows how it feels to be surreal and ununderstood, this ost is my go to track when I'm sad. thank you rusty Lake for telling me I am not alone, happy anniversary ❤️
For Non-Commercial Entertainment purposes only.
Oh yess! I remember the advent calendar last year
that was so funnnn
thats one i need to replay more XD i always need to double back and check the timeline of the games and that makes me want to play again
For sure!
🟨My favorite rusty lake moment is when I played Paradox and saw the moth pattern walls. Ooooh that looked slick!! I declared then and there I would paint a room like that one day. I'm working on getting the moth stencils made. 🦋🦋🦋
lets go!
🟨my most treasured Rusty Lake memory is when I discovered the whole franchise overall, I loved it from the very first game I played. I remember looking up the Rusty Lake blog every once in a while to see when a new Cube Escape game would come out. also, I got my boyfriend into playing Rusty Lake games and now I have someone to share my Rusty Lake experience with😊
Oh my goodness I just checked the pins that was in 2021 💀 when the hell did time go fast forward

🟨 My favorite memory is how it's bonded my mom and I more! I showed her the game and she loves the darkness of the story and the challenges of the puzzels. We worked through Rusty Lakes Seasons together and we're almost done with Rusty lake Roots! It's been so amazing to play with her and I'm really excited for the new game becuase I want to experience it for the first time with her!
ive tried to tide my craving for more RL games with other similar stuff on my phone, but the nearest to an extent has been Forgotten hills, and its not the same
no shade to other mobile games! RL just HITS right if that makes sense.
Wow, I've only been playing this game for 2 years like, when my favourite french YouTuber released his discovery of this universe, and I gotta say, I'm not usually into the spooky/dark kind of games but I always have place on my phone for a good cube escape 😌👍
I started the game when there are several installments in, but I decided to go chronologically so I started with seasons. The moment I realized I can go back into past seasons and change my past was like a new door opening for me, and I got hooked with the series from that point. Now I’m here all these games later, so happy I stumbled into this series. Happy 8th anniversary!
Side note that cake looks so good
So happy birthday ('u')/💚
well gotta get back to work. Have fun, cubes!
🟨 I've got so many good memories, but I'll try to list my top selection^^
My all time favourite has to be me getting my Mr Crow tattoo
my favourite server related ones were the Lobster Donkey meme and NoFlavor asking me to be a mod
My favourite in game moments were seeing Harvey's humanoid form revealed in Birthday and Laura's name reveal in Cave
My second first-date with my girlfriend (interesting story) was over Rusty Lake The Past Within ❤️
My favorite memory is how The Past Within knew how to show everyone I'm faking it at being an adult.

i got past within on my phone and pc cuz i didnt know who to ask to play with me and i REALLY wanted to play, so i was my own teammate xD
My favourite memory was simply learning that my mom plays this series too! I was looking for someone to play the latest entry with, seeing as it requires two people, and after my partner turned me down (loser!) I went to my mom about it since I know she enjoys mobile games and thought she might be interested in trying it out, only to learn she's already played all the free entries in the series. So of course she readily agreed and we blasted through it together! My mom and I don't bond over a lot of things, so it was really nice to be able to work together on this!
if you ever feel comfortable id definitely look for a player on the server:) co-op is great
keep it English in the main chats, thanks.
One of the best memories i had was discovering the actual existance of this server. I felt like i was the only one on the planet understanding the emotions that these pearls give me everytime i replay them. Discovering a big part of theorists gave me a sense of realization, being able to express and confronts my points of view!
🟨 I got into Rusty Lake initially through watching Dodger's streams of them but eventually knew I had to try them myself. I roped my father into playing them with me and we marathoned through every game. My father is very much the silent reserved type so being able to play these games with him was really special.
秃秃牛#4885 was muted.
🟨 My brightest RL-related memory took place some time after I finally decided to google for "6 stages of the wheel" from Theatre. Back then I learnt about samsara for the 1st time but the memory in question is about what happened some time later. I was jogging, thinking about stuff and suddenly it hit me several times in succession.
I finally understood that Aldous didn't transform but was technically reborn, that Laura's CS and the one of William are technically different lives and that Owl's "time is limited" because he'll literally become a fish after he dies.
Everything so quickly came into places so I stopped running for 5 long minutes.
While we understand being excited, please avoid spam/repeating yourself multiple times in multiple messages!
When the very first game came out, I remember playing it in school, and foaming at the mouth when a new one dropped. The series as a whole ignited and fed my love for the room escape genre and, more broadly, puzzle games in general.
Rusty cake?
Yes.
🟨 My best memory about this game series was when I first discovered it. I was having a breakdown, and ended up calling with a friend late at night in an attempt to distract myself. They ended up streaming the game. 'Twas the mill, if I remember right? We ended up working together to start completing it. Eventually we got on call at a more normal time to do some more gameplay, and I eventually ended up getting the games, including The Past Within for us both! It was a damn near magical experience playing TPW, it was amazing.
if i revisit, i might! i do have a friend who also got the game
My best memory about rusty lake is that I first found it on a flash game website and thought nothing of it. And then I found out that they all were connected and I just played them and loved them.
🟨 I found Rusty Lake when i was way way way younger; so it kind of became a 'comfort game' for me despite its dark subjects/themes i don't know why it happened; but i doubt anyone does.I recall roleplaying with the games character's a lot which developed into making Rusty Lake OC's which i still have my old ones do this day [although i've also made new ones]
My best memory was when i beat rusty lake paradise with all achievements and then discovering the further lore.
🟨 my favorite memory with rusty lake is playing through all of Hotel and Roots with my friend!
🟨 around when paradise released i by chance managed to find out a friend was also a fan because i saw the app icon on her phone. it was so wonderful to find out and brought us closer over something i hadn’t expected anyone i knew to also know of! especially during a period of my life that was rather rough. i tend to wear my mercy out now in the hopes of something like that happening again haha
i am now very annoying (positively) and force all my friends to play :) and i’ve made lots of fun memories watching the people i love go through the puzzles and lore i love. it always makes me so happy when i see them realize a solution or little lore connection and get excited over it.
🟨
Me who don't know I have to melt the seal before sealing the envelope:
Also, the slider puzzle is so annoying. No walk-through could save me.
🟨 My favorite memory about Rusty Lake is when one day I was playing one of the games (I'm not sure what game was it, but I think it's paradox) and found Mr. Crow and got a little scared. It was raining that day, and I was playing right by the window until I heard a noise and could see that something was on my window, but I couldn't know what was it. I got closer and took a look - it was a bird! (Of course it wasn't an actual crow, but the feathers were black too) I got scared and I accidentally jumped and called my father and my whole family took care of the bird for awhile until the rain stopped and we were able to set it free once again.
I know it wasn't Mr. Crow, but in my memories they both are really similar one to another. I kept playing all the games and have some more memories, but this is indeed my favorite.
🟨 My favorite and best memory is the puzzle with the pigeons and Samuel from Rusty Lake Roots ((which is in a very close tie with Rusty Lake Hotel and The White Door for my favorite Rusty Lake Game)). When I completed that puzzle I was really fascinated with how smart it was. It's my favorite puzzle out of all the amazing and clever puzzles in the Rusty Lake francize. And thanks to the Rusty Lake Team for being so awesome and Happy 8th Anniversary!!🟨
BestKeptMemory reading all of this:
Probably the colors
oh no
🟨 My favorite Rusty Lake memory is the start of Case 23. Seeing the doorway to the Seasons room, and Laura on the floor, really cemented the larger scope and interconnectedness of the world.
maybe its intentional?
Rusty lake makes us question everything lol
Those shrimp seem to get into anything they can get their shrimp-hands on.
My favourite memory is knowing that the series existed. My sister introduced it to me and I became obsessed with the lore, the puzzles and style so much that I still have a notebook somewhere that contains the whole timeline. A wonderful series, a wonderful world and an experience I'll never forget!
🟨 my most treasured rl memory is recompleting paradox after having played it a couple years prior. i 100% completed it, and also since dale is my favorite character it was very awesome for me hehe ^w^ his live action actor fits the role so well... (〃´𓎟`〃)
🟨 my favorite rusty lake memory is when i played samsara room years ago and then only two years or so ago i played cube escape and saw all the connections between them and the gears in my brain finally started to click and i was completely and utterly engrossed in the series and the deep connections between each of the games
what's the 🟨 ?
yeah, i know, i just felt like it would have been better if it was either completely free, or if you had to pay for the whole thing
🟨 My most treasured Rusty Lake memory is actually fairly recent, even though I've been playing the games for years. You see, when I was young my father and I would play couch co-op video games together fairly often, but when I became an adult I moved several states away which made it difficult to find a style of game for us we would enjoy playing together (MMOs don't really appeal to us.) When The Past Within came out, it was the perfect game for us to set up a call and bond over playing together, which became even sweeter when we realized the characters were a ||father and daughter too||! Thank y'all for giving us such a happy moment to treasure always.
aw gosh, that's adorable!
My favorite rusty lake memory is when my brother and I were playing case23 and we got to the final part. We were all pretty young and we got scared. Like we were terrified and we powered through and managed to finish the game.
🟨 I got into rusty lake late and many years ago I was happily playing through the series, when I encountered the Paradox live film. I was already a fan of 'escape the room' games and ARBs, but never before had I seen such detail and an overall universe in this game series. This series has amazing games, top notch puzzles and engrossing ARGs!
🟨 My favorite RL memory is at the secret ending of Paradox, Laura has || the white cube and survives ||, it really warmed my heart because i relate to her a lot (i played this ending after TWD) and all her live has been depicted as really dark so far, it was great to see a happier ending. I really look forward to UB and seeing more of Laura and Bob soon, they both really mean a lot to me. RL knows how to write incredible character and stories, i wish them all the best
!
🟨 My favorite memory was the 2nd anniversary event, I still have the printable cube
I would tell you my favourite Rusty Lake memory but I lost them all after visiting a mental health facility followed by a memory recording and retrieval clinic on the way.. I think my memories belong to the lake now
oh no, they are starting to notice we are harvesting the memories
we would never
God Rusty Lake got me through so many boring school days. There was a website with all of their flash games, and it wasn’t blocked. I had the best time figuring out the puzzles and playing when I should’ve been doing homework lmao. This series really has crafted my current taste in video games. I think it’s the first proper game series I’ve ever invested my time and money in
Always loved the games, hell, I was just replaying paradise cause I realized I haven't played it in a while but I don't think I can choose 1 favorite memory maybe doing the community events and taking part in the crow nft prank last year or maybe it was nearly pissing my pants from fear the first time I got to the mr rabbit sequence in birthday and paradox
🟨❤️
🟨 my fondest memory is definitely playing rusty lake : paradise with my best friend, sage, sometime during lockdown. i was really looking forward to playing the game for the first time, being a huge fan of the series, and im so thankful i was able to share the experience with someone i could geek out with about the puzzles and references. we both purchased the game and were on a voice call, racing to see who could beat the level first, but also helping each other with the puzzles when we were slowing down. being able to share excitement and theorize with someone was wonderful. i've had many great memories thanks to rusty lake, many of which came from playing the past within, but this one shines the brightest to me.
🟨 My favorite memory has to be being scared by the rabbit man in cube escape: birthday. I remember I had a little bit of past trauma, in fact, but it’s still a part of my favorite memories because I played the game in 2018, and brings a lot of nostalgia.
🟨 my favorite memory of rusty lake was playing Roots. I was captivated by Emma Vanderboom's story. Her story was so beautiful and heartbreaking. Her love for her son frank was so immense and she would have gone to the ends of the world searching for him but her sadness just got the better of her. She deserved so much more! At least she lives on in the stars and so does her love for Frank.
Dear Rusty Lake greetings with 8 anniversary and thanks for making brain games😁❤️
🟨 my favorite rusty lake memory was discovering seasons on a flash game site many years ago (rip flash), I was so stunned to see a character with mental health issues laid out so frankly and yet so cryptically. I played seasons many many times trying to decipher the abstract nature of the story, and I sent it to my sister and my friends and begged them to play it with me and tell me their thoughts. my sister played it and the two of us went through and played all the other games too and it became something for us to talk about and bond over and helped us grow closer.
🟨 my favorite rusty lake memory is watching my girlfriend playing them for the first time, after i had already played through all the games 3 times, and finally being able to understand the story and lore
🟨 my favorite rusty lake memory was when I rediscovered the games last year. I played them when I was younger and I really cherished the cube escape games because I had never played anything like it. it inspired my art style and honestly really helped me through some tough times. I replayed those games over and over again. and then recently I found out about the premium games and immediately bought them and played them and the happiness and love I felt for rusty lake instantly came back. it's really helped my mental health and inspired me to create, which is something I struggle with. (Also when I shared the games with other people and watched them fall in love with the universe too!!)
🟨my favourite rusty lake memory was when i played all of the games for the first time and realised how they are connected :)
🟨My favourite rusty lake memory was playing the past with in with my best friend!! We'd both found rusty lake together about a year or so previously and are insane fans, playing all the games together, even as a way on call to connect when we couldnt be with each other side by side. So when TPW was announced as a two player game it was almost like fate!! We got together as soon as we could and played it togheter on opposite sides of my bed. It was such an incredibly fun play considering we could fully immerse both of ourselves in the game!! We were SCREAMING with excitement at every turn as more and more lore revealed itself. My favourite rusty lake memory to this day, TPW seemed made for us! Funnily enough, we're daitng now :D we got together the day later while talking about rusty lake haha!! 🟨
🟨 my favourite rusty lake memory was during 2020 my favorite thing was (still is) escape rooms and i was really sad i couldnt do them anymore. one day i was scrolling the app store and i found cube escape:paradox, i decided to play it. i played it so much i bought almost every game!! rusty lake is truly one of my favourite memories, so thank you rusty lake for making 2020 better for me<3🟨
🟨in 2019 when I was hospitalised due to ||a suicide attempt|| and joy seemed like a far away dream, the games kept me company at the hospital. There was no wi-fi so solving the puzzles gave me something to put energy and focus on other than how bad everything seemed to be going. I knew them from before that, and it may seem silly that a mobile game gave me so much strength, but ever since they've just become something I go back to when I feel those moments creeping back in. I know this isn't a "nice" memory as you all probably expected. But I just wanted to let you know regardless the impact it has had on my life. Thank you so much for having given me something to look forward to. 🟨
Also i guess Rusty Lake gave me comfort chracters because after suffering from bad things that i wont name here many times i saw the character's like protecting me?
🟨 I'm fairly new to this fandom-- just got into it two years ago. The first game I found was Rusty Lake: Roots. Within a week, I had bought and played through all of their games and was working on a timeline following the games and levels. My mom walked in while I was working on it and ripped it up because I was "goofing off instead of doing homework," with the homework being stuff I'd already finished. I started going to therapy without my parents knowing, as they wanted to pick who I went to see, but they forced a therapist of their religion on me. She didn't even help, just shoved Jesus down my throat. It got so bad that I ended up in the local hospital for ||attempted suicide.|| While I was there, I wasn't allowed to have my phone or any sort of electronics. So I got back to work on my timeline. I finished it before I left, but I gave it to another girl who was having a harder time than I was by the time I left. I intend to make another one (a nicer one) along with profile-type dealies for each of the characters, and get them printed to hang up on my walls. I'll send pictures when it's finished 😁 the point being, Rusty Lake helped me through a really tough time, and I've always had a soft spot for both puzzle games and horror/action games, so both boxes checked there 😂 Many, many thanks, Rusty Lake team ❤️ 🟨
Oh, and @reef blade? I'm here if you need to talk. I don't want to say I understand you, but I've been in a similar situation and it sucks, especially when you're lonely. Not saying that you're lonely, just offering my help if you want/need it, y'know?
Ayy thats glad do hear it helped you both; RL is therapeutic confirmed
who tf needs a therapist we got rusty lake 💁💅🏼✨🤣❤️
lmao
exactly
Rusty Lake and DnD truly are my comfort interests now if sm mixed em up i would 100% join in
Hi yall
heya:)
I have no idea how to do things here or the general rules could anyone give me a rundown-
yeah?
When people use the cubes around their like sentences like how I saw above is it just like experiences about how they found rusty lake or the games or just life experiences they had before they played
Is that how the cube emotes are supposed to be used
no not at all it's just a thing for now haha
Ohhh okok
(check out the last #📯|rl-announcements for context)
Tysm again
I’m super excited for rusty lake and the 8 years because they do such an amazing job
haha yeah me too! glad to hear it:)
I've always been very interested in room games. I became a fan when I first discovered this game. We started playing with my brother and we had a lot of fun. It is an excellent series, even if it makes us think a lot sometimes. It should never end. My favorite game is rusty lake hotel. Nirvana really. You guys are such a good team
Ong I’ve been addicted for years
same
My ex gf and I found the cube collection when we were in 8th grade and I play it to remember the good times
Plus the lore is so GOOD
hey where are you going now ahjsjdhajshdj
I’m graduating hs this year 🥹
Good luck with that!
Ty! Im so glad cus I get to choose my schedule
I'm happy for you and I have 1 year left, 1 year that will pass with intense stress....
just use RL as a distraction;)
ah rusty lake really my favorite series all my friends know i'm a fan of this game
I don't know when this new game will come out but I'm so impatient
the blog post mentions aiming for a late summer release.
oh i didn't see this how can i wait so long
🟨 my favorite memory of this wonderful world takes place when cube escape: theatre first came out. I remember aimlessly scrolling on youtube and seeing my favorite youtuber at the time had posted a playthrough of the game. Curious, I watched it and immediately fell in love with the game. Soon, however, my interest faded and I forgot almost every detail about the game. That was until recently. A few months ago, I started to remember vague impressions of the theatre, I could remember the elevator, the lady of the lake, and “DEAD FACE” on the piano. And yet, I was unable to clearly recall enough information to find this “escape room theatre game” from my past. This went in for a few weeks until the stars seemed to align and I overlooked my friend playing cube escape: seasons. I don’t know how or why, but somehow I was able to recognize the art and gameplay from my experience years before. In a moment of sheer clarity and excitement, I started questioning them about the game and downloaded it the second they told me the name. Sixteen games and two-hundred-seven achievements later and here we are!! Happy 8th anniversary rusty lake and thank you for building the person that I am today !!!!!!!!
that… took me too long to write
idk why, seems like theatre is everyone's nostalgia
This community is so wholesome I love yall
Thank you, that's actually incredibly sweet and kind of you ❤️ it genuinely means a lot to me
🟨 My favorite memory of the Rusty Lake series has to be playing through all the games chronologically with my best friend, Bryan. 🥰 I first encountered the series when The Past Within was released and I absolutely love puzzle games and weird things, hehe. We played it together and were so intrigued by the whole thing that I straight up went to buy all the previous games. I know you can't co-op in them, but we hung out on Discord and I shared my screen so we could talk and discuss the games together. It was an absolute blast! 🙌🏼
(My least favorite thing is the horrifying mushroom opera screen from Seasons... It scares me every time! 😂 )
I have awesome memories with the rusty lake games. My favourite memory was a few years ago. Me and one of my best friends were kind of addicted to the games and were playing and completing all of them. A few months after this on my birthday she did kind of a real life escape room with clues from the games, and it was so cool. I wish i could show you all the work she did and awesome it was 🙂
Picture of some of the clues.
I think my strongest memory of the entire RL saga was when I first died at the end of Case 23, which was totally unpredictable and gave a sense of "real" danger for the first time in the series. It kind of reminded me of the possibility of dying in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, which was a LucasArts "graphic adventure/point-and-click" game where you weren't supposed to die (they had purposely made it so to sort of compete with Sierra Games). In any case, Rusty Lake was kind of like the continuation of my passion, decades later, for those old-time games that I enjoyed playing as a teenager. Thanks so much for making them. I am also a huge fan of David Lynch, so, yea, big unconditional fan here, I even purchased the limited edition of the Paradox graphic novel, which is absolutely gorgeous, but I digress. Thanks again!
o hell yeah
hello how's everyone doing?
just reminiscing about our favourite RL moments:)
entertaining .)
tbh i most have memories with minecraft lol
hope it occurs with rl as well
I just had
THE PERFECT IDEA for a RL drawing
you know what to do
🟨 My most treasured memory
Of so many words, this one marked me most, there in the last cube escape, the last known mr. Crow words (i guess), with the last object, the knife, and his last appearance (i guess.)
I have drawn this moment, at Cube Escape Paradox chapter 2, the last of the named Cube Escape series.
I never thought i would like this franchise, some years ago, i've feared cube escape, when i saw a CS, i had nightmares with it, and today, i have played all of the games, i really like they, the way it looks, the way it talks and etc. I really want to play any other game that rusty lake do, not matter if its paid or not, i will. Happy 8 years of this franchise!!
My most prominent memory of Rusty Lake was when I believe it was on addicting games. I remember being a kid and having such difficulty passing out the shrimp cocktails to the guests 😅 years later saw a streamer play it and I went "that's Rusty Lake!" Was so excited for the White Door at pax too! It's incredible how this studio has grown and really have encouraged me to learn to code. Fond memories made with many more to come!
🟨 I think my favorite memory with Rusty Lake was when I found out that my very good friend is also a big fan of those. In the few days we were playing though all of the games together, sharing theories and our love towards Dale and soul
We still do it, but the first days were the most exciting ones, and I love that time.
I'm still looking forward to drawing fanarts with him 🥰
🟨My most treasured memory was the first time I ever found a Rusty Lake game - The Cube Case 23 followed very quickly by The Cube - Birthday, followed even more quickly by everything else I could get my hands on. I've always loved mystery/adventure games and escape games, and Rusty Lake is the pinnacle of mobile and online escape games for me. Tons of little clues and hints, stories that tie them together, cool graphics, hard puzzles but not too hard. (I may have rage quit a few times only to be back hours later lol). Finding Rusty Lake games was one of the best things to happen to me in gaming. Right up there with my first ever time playing Super Mario on Nintendo. It's iconic. It's pure fun. New games can't come fast enough, and they're over too soon because I binge them til they're done. Finding thay first Rusty Lake game randomly on Google Play is definitely my most treasured memory - it started it all! 🐙

Tyty it went by so fast already I should’ve been more informative about when but I graduate in June 😭
I'm happy for you, relax, don't worry^^

I also love everyone here because I rarely see such a wholesome community especially from a game that involves people dying left to right
ahahhaha the people here are so sweet especially damy ^^
Oh absolutely
the communitys far sweeter than i could ever be;)
^^
I also joined here cus I wanna rant with someone about the rusty lake games (I love my friends but they’ve been too busy to talk 😭)
hey this could be me i would be glad
ah that's a bit scary i guess lol
Dw it always is cus my adhd will go from one to the other but it’ll make sense after a bit
actually when i write this in translation it doesn't explain to me nicely what do you mean
Ohh-
Ok so I’ll be throwing information or the rant will go either really well or not really make sense at all
If that helps
um okay
That’s how it normally goes
of course. i try to give people the grace i wish i'd been given, especially when it seems that they may need help. i hope we end up as friends, you seem to be a lovely person!
I wonder how high school goes there, how does education work in different countries?
Yeah it’s pretty different from other places
America is not a safe place to go to school
Sorry-
sorry damyy
I sent a friend req if you have any questions about it ^^
Question for the people what’s y’all’s favorite Rusty game
Does anyone here like kpop?
I gotta say paradox to that one
that, too, isnt about Rusty Lake either
my fav is theater or paradox, cant say :^
whats yours?
Depends but I listen sometimes
If it counts I love the cube collection
But if I picked one in the collection I’d go with seasons
ooo yeah thats a good one
It really made my singular brain cell go to work in winter
fr
If it’s about “only choose one most fav” - that’s impossible for me haha
i love them all BUT i'd have to name roots or paradox as my favourite, with cube escape theatre following them up!
Theater is pretty good I enjoyed mixing the drinks for no reason
That’s understandable there’s so many good ones 😭
Yup haha
Those are all so valid
I’d go with Theatre/B-day/Roots/TWD
Bday gave me so many jumpscares for no reason when I first played it
Well I mean haha was a fun party there 😅
Grandpa got some moves frfr
Made me get up and vibe with him
grandpa carried bday
Grandpa got the drink not even spilling it
Please do it rn haha

I’ve played it so much I will gladly get up and dance when I see him get sturdy
thats so relatable

i love that silly little cat
We love the silly cat

Shadow dude turns cat
bro turns into anything he wants
That is true

yeah Milo has its own game too:)
I mean it’s from a Second Maze game 😅
Imma need the name
published under RLs publishing label Second Maze ye
I can definitely recommend it
Milo gets some lore action
And the name for that game is Milo and the Magpies so
birb chonk
thats understandable
Chonk birb
just fat birb
Exactly
I was gonna say I wanted to feed a birb and get it fat but
The mill
Already did that
ngl that lady in the mill is such a gilf
HELP??
shes so cute with all her rotten teeth🥰🥰
I don’t judge but you do you 😭
Ah yes
The teeth
The hardest part about it for me ngl
i couldnt figure it out for the life of me the first time i played😭
It didn’t click until after I realized they were Roman numerals
But isn't this general chat ...?
Roman 4 makes me think of 6
For Rusty Lake related content, yes!
It got off topic for a moment
ong
Is there another general?
Like it really needs you to unlock your inner Einstein cus I could not figure the numbers for the life of me
#🛖|the-cabin for anything off topic
thats so relatable its not even funny
Oh ok, thank you
At least you get it 😭🤝
I wish I learned about Roman numerals more often to understand because people that do know them were probably like “Easy peasy”
I figured out Roman numerals just from playing Minecraft
fr and its even worse when you sometimes forget how to count properly💀
Minecraft has them…
with enchantmens
I failed math twice so that’s a testament to how bad I am at counting sometimes
Ah
I rarely played so I didn’t pay attention
Ill note this down and make sure the numbers make a return in more RL games 👀
I feel like I’d end up rotting in a escape room theme
although theyre pretty common actually haha
DAMNIT
(I actually dont have any influence, just a mod)
I will hold you accountable if I end up using YouTube because Roman numerals came back
this will be me outside your window 😭
ill see you in the help channels
me too
I’ll do any method that doesn’t involve me submitting to YouTube
we do offer help channels on this server to help with all the games:)
That would be wicked
Mhm! I saw earlier
haha you're right! but RLs surrealism would make that hard I think
I mean it would but that’s the fun
I mean who knows with the technology we have in this current day it wouldn’t be that surprising to see
I’ve only been to an escape room once and that was 2 months ago- the dude had us pick between talking when talked to or freely talking to us and telling us how bad of a job we were doing…we chose the second one
True
The dude was talking over the speakers in the room to picture it better
That’s kinda funny
I’ll gladly sign a petition to make an irl escape room
hello
Agreed
!
Ello
hi hi:)
Hello
hi
I love ur pfp mega mind
Thank you
true
its truely a piece of art
we dont do cults here! just cubes
Squares
triangle
No
me too
yeah same
What kind
that would taste pretty good
It’s like you don’t understand why but you want more
Wait a minute a lasagna is a rectangle but if cut at the right spot it becomes… a cube
Mind blown
🟨
My favorite Rusty Lake memory was when I was at the start of binge playing all the cube escape games. I was playing Seasons on my Mamaw’s bed on my old 3G iPhone with my sibling next to me doing their own thing.
I remember not wanting them to watch my because I was afraid it would be too scary for them (they’re five years younger than me) so I was making comments on what I was seeing to keep them included.
When I got to the TV channel puzzle, I got really nervous about pressing 1, certain that it would be a jump scare. I spent a bit hyping myself (and, by extension, my sibling) up and, when I finally clicked it—
“Eggs”
“What?”
“There’s eggs” I show them my phone to prove I’m not lying. They snicker and I continue on for half a minute finishing surfing the rest of the channels.
I sigh to myself “…and now it’s raining blood.”
“It’s WHAT?!”
I just shake my head dejectedly.
Only in rusty lake…
Thanks for all your the memories over the years and here’s to many more to come!
🟨 My favorite memory is the way I've discovered the world of Rusty Lake. I have to be honest, when I was in high school the "cube escape" commercials often appeared while I was playing something else and in the end, intrigued (and a little bored considering the persistence with which they appeared in the commercials) I started playing and it was the best choice i could do. Ever since then I am always looking forward to new game releases. I love every single game and I can't wait for the next.
Thank you

reminds me of how i discovered rusty lake... i was playing another mobile game (called duskwood for anyone curious) and the play store was like "ooh mystery/puzzle games? have i got a suggestion for you 👀" so i gave it a go and now i'm entirely hooked! 🤣❤️
🟨 happy 8th birthday Rusty Lake!
I can't believe it's been a whole year since I started playing the games... out of order at first, but there's a certain charm to that too.
Wanna thank the devs for bringing so much joy to so many people, and thank you to everyone else involved with making RL games what they are today, and that includes the wonderful community whose love keeps these games going.
And as for most treasured memory, it's definitely the two weeks during which I binged all the games on order every day after work, often staying up late because I couldn't put the games down, but especially Roots. This game in particular holds a special place in my heart, I feel so attached to the Vanderboom family, and have been trying to build their iconic house in The Sims 3 lately.
Rusty Lake truly is a life changer, that definitely improved my mental health
Black cube maybe
You get it
ngl thats the best part of a lasagna
i fight my mom for the burnt corners cus it adds flavor
im so glad no one else in my family likes the burnt edges
do- do they like flavor /gen
ah
im so sorry for your family not knowing where the heavens are
grandpa in bday would def want a burnt corner of lasagna
Hey at least they're not getting murdered at a birthday party
that is true

grandpa would shoot you bc you took all the burnt edges
imagine having an intruder with a bunny mask coming in and basically murdering your family
thats cannon
thats would be so cute
what
when we do the box thing and make it before the lovely event grandpa is the only one that was like "gun time baby" the parents didnt say nothing but were like "how did you know" but the grandpa REMEMBERED

we gna use em as seasoning with moon rocks
she still needs em
i need to replay some paradise just to see what other random thoughts i get now

ive no clues for harvy to my memory
ik the dog is immortal cause of roots
ik the animals and paradise family is the same
ik mr owl the mom and mc are the same
paradise was wild
to my memory all the black cubes are bad memories and white is good
ye

which wonders the lake
but mr owl thinks detective vandameer can guide them for something about them
i cant remember
ngl id love to see a movie or series like the paradox movie thing
i just need more lore
detective got that dilf plot armor
i still need all achievements...
@haughty light does the game take place in netherland?
nobody knows
Unlikely
okay i got a wild idea tho
The Netherlands doesn't have those mountains
what if it takes place in a alternative earth?
is it like an eldritch thing
O?
like its still earth; but in a alternative universe
I personally see rusty lake as its own dimension with many entrances and exits
basically
Its like the Twilight Zone
that it?
Perhaps that was the main inspiration all along
twin peaks more so but maybe?
my main question is still the name
im lowkey sure twilight zone didnt air in the country the devs live in
The lake is rusty
but the water colour is blackish
with white mist
that black lagoon feel
rusty would be browner
and dirtier
black rust exists
Black Rust
Iron (II)oxide – Fe3O4 (limited oxygen)
Rust from Iron (III) oxides with limited oxygen and low moisture results in black rust.
Black rust can be visually identified as a thin, black film which is the result of oxidation in a low oxygen environment.
Black rust has an appearance of almost a black stain. Most likely the areas exhibiting the black rust had something covering them, which prevented oxygen from reaching the surface.
This type of rust is a more stable rust layer that does not propagate as rapidly as other rust forms.
i see
makes sense now cause of the white fog
thanks
you learn something new everyday
but the lake also turns a rusty colour during the night [as we see]
so thus the name 'Rusty' Lake
also i could make the joke that everyone is just suffering from hypoxia and tripping from low oxygen
and the paradise resident the sister got anoxia thats why shes blind
i shall leave now
🟨 My fondest memory of Rusty Lake is when I first downloaded one of your games: Rusty Lake Roots.
Since I started playing it, I fell in love with the game, and when I finished it, I was left wanting more. I saw that there were more RL games, which meant more secrets, more history, and more mystery.
After trying Roots, I tried Samsara Room, which I also loved. From those two games, my fandom for Rusty Lake started to grow, and luckily I was able to play all of your games. Thank you for giving me these precious memories that I have stored in my mind.
🟨For my memory of Rusty Lake, I remember downloading Samsara room on steam when I was younger and was kinda scared to open the game with the blank eyed character in the cover picture, so it took me a while to come around to play it. Eventually I did when I was stuck at home in a thunderstorm and it was my introduction into the genre of "escape room" type games. I almost got to the end and then my laptop died when there was no power. Low and behold, I finally got to finish it back in February and it was well worth playing over again. Now I own the whole franchise that has been released as of recent 😅 regardless, it was still a great game that sticks in my memories till this day 😊
alguien acá habla español?
Please keep it english in the main channels
🟨 My first experience with Rusty Lake was playing RL Hotel with my mum in 2015-2016. It's a tradition of ours to get cosy on the sofa under warm blankets on a cold, rainy day and play puzzle games. It had been since I was very little. She fostered my love for hidden object games, and the point-and-click genre, and we loved playing Rusty Lake Hotel. It was a random find on the app store, but we both fell in love with the characters and the story, and it rekindled the tradition that had been lost for a few years. After that, I fell down the rabbithole of Rusty Lake games, playing each one multiple times, in and out of chronological order, to uncover the mysteries and secrets hidden within each. To this day, I've played every game about four or five times (even more for Roots, Hotel, and Paradise) and it is unopposed as my favourite game series of all time
🟨My favourite memory from rusty lake was when me and my boyfriend got The past within as a 2 month anniversary celebration c: We had such a Great time and ive always loved The creepy aesthetic of The games and im looking to play more! Also just to add in this emoji is so fricking cute
Does anyone know if i should buy the white door? is it important to the story?
Yes
🟨 my favorite memory with rusty lake so far has been the people that i’ve met while playing the game! so few people i know played rusty lake before i introduced it to them, but meeting the few others near me who have loved the games and the story was so great- it’s like finding a whole secret community!
🟨 My favorite memory was when I first discovered these games. It was during the pandemic, and I was looking on steam for some free games to play. That's when I came across Samsara Room. I tried playing the game, and just couldn't figure it out. About two years later, I was on vacation, and I was looking for a game to play on the plane, when I recognized Samsara Room. I re-downloaed the game, and beat the whole thing on that plane ride. I've since played every game in the series.
i say its worth it since i got it yesterday
definitely a worthwhile game but it was short
🟨 Since I was little I enjoy playing puzzle games, and in my search of finding new ones I discovered Samsara Room, I truly enjoyed the art and kinda messed up story it had, so I bought all the games at once and tried to played them on chronological order, It has been one of the best stories in puzzles games I'd ever played, I love that it has little secrets hidden in every game or page related, and I truly love the community. For the moment, my favorite one is Roots, but I'm looking forward the next projects ⬛️
I appreciate that a lot. Sorry I took so long to reply, I was really busy. Thank you for being so kind and I really hope you're doing ok now. I'm always* here if you need to talk
Samsara's Room is quite an enigma. Not part of the Cube Escape series but deja vu.
Not actually deja vu. Samsara's Room was introduced before anything.
It sure was
My favorite puzzle is in Paradise.
The chipper song sung by three men lightened my mood. It is unthinkable that Rusty Lake managed to turn some normal objects or phenomenon into a puzzle.
I love the paradise song haha
Those three men have the voice I want to possess.
🟨 I honestly want to chip in here with my fav memory. I am a massive puzzle game fan, but I could not play horror games. I loved how they were able to make such crazy lore due to the insane topics, but I was always easily startled by even the smallest things. One day during a particularly boring high school class, I ended up stumbling upon Cube Escape: The Lake on Kongregate. I decided to put aside the fact it was listed as a horror game and play it..... only to get completely jump scared by the corrupted soul. Even with me being absolutely terrified of it, I continued to play, and ended up falling in love with the amazing combination of point-and-click mechanics, puzzles, and horror. My personal fav game is a tie between Cube Escape: Theatre and Rusty Lake Hotel, with The Past Within as a close third (as it allowed me to share one of my fav game series with a puzzle loving friend). I cannot wait to see what other wonderful games you guys produce, keep up the wonderful work!
Hello, is that true that rusty lake series has 8 games in total?
@quick python many more!
But 9 of those are bundled in the cube escape collection
You'll find all game titles except for The Past Within and Underground Blossom (unreleased) in #📚|resources
@haughty light Wait a sec, is Paradox-rusty lake film a game or a film or 2 in 1?
@quick python there's a game called cube escape paradox, but also a shortfilm that ties in with the game
That means the only game: samsara room, is exclude from the bundle sale
Well that's free
I bought the bundle, just wanted to check out the rest. thanks for answering my question.
Of course:) enjoy!
🟨 ive always loved puzzle games, but theyve always striked me as too easy, too boring or too hard. When i found cube escape, i finally had found something that fit the criteria of an amazing puzzle game!
The most infamous puzzle is the slider puzzle in Case 23 chapter 3.
Even the official walkthrough from Rusty Lake didn't help much.
I have the sequence of tile movements written down and just look at that whenever I replay that game haha
I love replaying Cube Escape right after I forget most of the content.
Some of them even have secret endings (which I knew by searching guides).
Paradox really takes effort to find the green vial.
Secrets are definitely a staple of the rl games
Yeah me too!
(dont kill me damy.. this is not rusty lake related but since its a reply to that comment it has to be here) dont get me started on slider puzzles.. I did a real life escape room and one slide puzzle had us trapped for the same length of time as the entire first chamber
No worries an offtopic comment is fine
Just don't discusd the escape room in length that'd b a problem;)
slide puzzles are my least favourite puzzle type in games.. im glad that rusty lake doesnt put a lot of them in
I downloaded an app that was 100% slide puzzles after that to try train on them.. but it was too boring and it didn't have the 'upright on a wall so the pieces fall into a hole' dynamic of a real room one. They are just more frustrating than fun as puzzles as well. I think I can't calculate enough steps in advance like you need to maybe
May I know the name?
It was called 3x3 puzzle.. but it was boring because it wasn't even pictures it was just numbered tiles. I just wanted to learn the logic and to get fast though so I didn't really mind. There are probably better apps if you want a more fun game. But if we continue talking about this here damy will tell us off because its no longer rusty lake related
It's definitely gone off topic but I can only assume this'll b the last comment in regards of the tile puzzle app haha
Unless some big tile puzzle fan rolls up rn?
But in that case they can tell us all about it in #🛖|the-cabin lmao
This is my strategy with that puzzle. That and the water puzzle in Hotel.
Hell yeah
Good morning everybody
Good morning:)
How is everyone
Pondering the existence of a rail network under a lake
I'm happy for the triplets. You?
It's their birthday 🙂
TODAY
Yes!
Oh man
Happy birthday triplets
which triplets ?????
How conveniently close to rls own birthday
Yeah, them.
emma, samuel, and albert?
Yeah
Minus projects pretty good today
That's good 🙂
Albert got bullied a lot smh
Fr rip Albert
Rip all of them 😭

Got sent to a lovely place
If I got a chance to go to a rusty lake resort I’d definitely go
Oh same
yes
Take my memories I don’t need them
Fr take my memories, I'll just get new ones.
Ong
I kind of like my memories truthfully if I ever win a trip to rl you all can take my place
Thank you! 🙂
honestly, losing your memories is one of the best things that could happen
it could be worse
Well, it's a double-edged sword. You lose the bad ones, but then you lose the good ones. And even then, the bad memories are what make you a stronger person. The past is never dead, I guess.
You shall remain in our memories while we stay 🥹
So in the lake, got it
Mr. Crow or Mr. Owl being like "wtf why won't this cube come out"
And we're like "we promised to remember them"
Exactly
Hes gonna have to try harder than that smh
I’d much rather be fish food to the lake than give up memories of our lovely Damy
I hate how auto decides Damy is Danny
Yes your auto is WRONG
I don’t even know anyone named danny 😭
IT'S GONNA TAKE A LOT TO DRAG US AWAY FROM YOU
THERE'S NOTHING THAT HUNDRED SOULS OR MORE COULD EVER DO
[gets anxiety from this comment two years later]
EXACTLY
Guys, do you understand any quote in Cube Escape?
Sometimes
Kind of?
For instance, "all that you touch, you change", "there will be blood", balance the substance of your past life".
To me, it is too abstract.
Idk how to explain it but it’s pretty on the nose
Also, I heard the voice actor has the ability to utter backward.
Which one
But that’s pretty cool if I were able to do that I’d act like I was making a seance in the middle of class
That’s illegal
Raid Shadow Legends, download now.
I-
Anyway, none of my class knows about Cube Escape.
See, I'm from Hong Kong. That may be the reason.
I am getting lethargic. Imma go to slumber.
Bye.
Do anyone know what kind of art materials were used in making Rusty Lake. I know it is digital art, but I want to know what material can create the closest resemblance. Thanks for sharing
Maybe posca, marker, color pencils etc.
🤔 im not really an artist so id have no idea haha
Me too
Dont know if thats what you're looking for, but the paintings in Paradox as well as some landscapes are watercolours by Johan Scherft, i think there's a video on RL's youtube of him painting one of those
Not exactly that painting, but the overall style it uses in cube escape, hotel, roots and UB
🟨 My favorite memories from Rusty Lake its when you appear for Christmas - photo with Albert and much subjects from all your games. I decided to play all the games from oldest to new and find every item and solve the puzzles. That's was great adventure with games and fun with solving mistery password.
I haven't been paying attention and I don't have the mental energy to sleuth right now but do we know the release date for Underground Blossom on mobile or is it still being beta'd and such?
@west coral theres currently a beta on steam, RL is aiming for a late summer release
🟨My favorite memory from rusty lake is all the happiness and joy I got from playing the games and them helping me when I was bored and didn’t know what to do.
🟨 First of all, I really want to thank the Rusty Lake team for making one of the best game series I’ve played in my life. My favorite memory is discovering the games. I was in a pretty bad place when I stumbled upon the Cube Escape series in the App Store back in 2017. According to my download history the first one I played was The Cave. I actually still have that iPod with all the Cube Escape games downloaded. They really helped me get trough that rough time and made me a big fan of the escape/puzzle game genre. They’ve also made me quite annoying, because now I’m very selective with my games, especially puzzle games, since only few of them match the level of artistry and gameplay of Rusty Lake. So thank you again, congrats on 8 years of being iconic, and here’s to many more!
🟨 my favorite rusty lake memory is mr. crow & his subtle hints 🐰
you know what to do
🟨 my favourite moment is when me and my Friend first discovered rusty lake games a week after a past within came out I am now proud to say we have complete 90% of the games and exited for the new game
Also you already known if I don’t win I’m buying it 100%
🟨my favorite memory was when I managed to win a copy of the past within and I forced my sister to play with me and she got really invested and curious in the lore so we played the entire cube escape series together. It feels so good for someone to get into your interest and be as invested in it as you 😭 it was really funny her theories that she made up like albert being laura’s dad and he’s a cult leader. It was a fun bonding experience:)
rusty lake themed party and there’s these drinks which one are you taking
Anyone from staff can help kindly DM me thanks
Cant bcs Clyde appeared. What happened?
Could you please describe the issue in short here first?
Want to be in a talent show
Hi! Welcome! If you have the full game you’ll find a player 2 in the #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player channel, if you’re using the “lite” or demo version you’ll find a partner in #🔎|find-lite-partner.
Hey how do you get the golden cube image
Which image?
The yellow cube
Like in this one
🟨
Thank you
You can probably copy it? 😅
I can
Hello
🟨 My favourites memory from Rusty Lake is finding Paradox and getting hooked on Rusty Lake games. Love every thing about Rusty Lake games, the puzzles, the characters, the lore and of course the community 💛💛
Bro anyone to play
If you have the full game you’ll find a player 2 in the #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player channel, if you’re using the lite or demo version you’ll find a partner in #🔎|find-lite-partner.
Helloooo
Heya! Can I help?
Nah was just doing timepass
Alright:)
Was checking whether chat was active 🙃
Well you'll usually find me at least
🫶🫶🫶
I rarely found an escape game series with a galore lore.
Those room escape games are impossible to be made into a plot, considering that you can't really make every escape game a game where you got trapped by someone, if you want a game series connected with a plot.
RL games are better in that case
They don't have that typical
Find key open lock
Escape Lore
Yes, Rusty Lake games aren't limited to escaping confinement.
A plague, a birthday, a leisure time, an exploration. There're sundry events.
And now that you point out mostly all of these games are typical escape games
It is hard to find an escape game series with lore.
House of davinci was good though short
Ooh, quite interesting.
@deft coyote Also infamous machine that's good puzzle adventure.
I have few more in my mind but that will be offtopic convo:)
hi how to two co-op the past within
To play the game follow these steps:
- Communicate with your partner, be that over call, messages, or in real life.
- You and your partner both open the game
- Pick a different time each, one player picks future the other player picks past
- IF you're playing the complete paid version of the game pick the same insect either BEE or BUTTERFLY
there is nothing else needed
I understand, thank you very much for your help.
A question to community! What do you guys think is the most creepy game by Rusty Lake?
Case 23 based on chapter 4 alone
Very valid by apart from that bit? Haha
For me that was Rose's birth
So like… Roots? 😅
Lmao okay haha
so excited for UB
Actually the creepiest moment is a good question too
thats the tree in birthday for me
that jumpscare will haunt me till the grave (complimentary)
tbh Albert in Roots gives me icky vibes
maybe bcs he seems so familiar with someone from our world [i wont say who here; do avoid it dwelling further into detail/a talk] but
if you have seen him and heard true crime you likely know who i mean
i think the mods might smite me if i say his name
He's kind of...well he was a rather bad person
but he shares a name with Albert
lets say
well Rusty Lake has a lot of games;)
ye
but you'll find a partner for the past within in #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player if you have the full game.
yeah @spark spindle ?
Yes.
the two are not compatible, that's why the split in search channels exists.
If you have the full game you’ll find a player 2 in the #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player channel, if you’re using the “lite” or demo version you’ll find a partner in #🔎|find-lite-partner.
maybe they dont know, it happens:)
Still me !
dont know they could be busy ¯_(ツ)_/¯
no ones forced to be here
Well yeah TPW doesnt require connection with another player in game]
you cant play alone
What
No no
well youll need to use #🔍|tpw-looking-for-player regardless
its a risk youll have to take im afraid
Hi again!
you should worry about that once you have a player 2.
you cant play on your own.
you can try the other rusty lake games, though, those are free:) youll find all the titles in #📚|resources
Yes they do!
and one's currently in development, too.
Underground Blossom
Some of em do yeah
Rusty Lake moment
yeah!

Well The Past Within is indeed cool and co-op and offline :) But that’s the only co-op game by Rusty Lake so far
I dont think you should worry about it that much
I dont worry about it that much either and its my job to make sure everyones in the correct place;)
wait wait dont tell that i cant play it with my friend
you can @green wind
the games designed to do just that, after all:)
To play the game follow these steps:
- Communicate with your partner, be that over call, messages, or in real life.
- You and your partner both open the game
- Pick a different time each, one player picks future the other player picks past
- IF you're playing the complete paid version of the game pick the same insect either BEE or BUTTERFLY
how can i invite?
There’s no in-game invite
If you’re communicating with each other - you’re playing together
okay i am in a diffrent country and hes from a diffrent country can we play togther?
Absolutely
yep
well discord is only one of the communications options
you can use whichever app you want to talk.
we need to be in this server?
You can use whichever platform you prefer to communicate with your friend
@spark spindle you mentioned you bought the game but just mentioned an APK, which one is it?
Alrighty.
Yippee !!
yaaa! that bag looks lovely:)
Very glad it arrived (((:
I wonder how many memories it could take
At least 3
Harvey's egg
check this message! it was for easter
Rusty Lake's been around for 8 years
there's been many things!
Yeah! turned 8 this week, actually haha
weird question but is surveys allowed here?
its for a research project im working on
thats a no
yoo I have a question
did somebody played paradox chapter 2?
and would you recommend buying it
whos the unknown sibling in vanderboom family
Yeah it's awesome!
The unknown sibling?
They are
Uh...
...uh..
They are that person you get what I'm saying
No one knows
Also it's not official that james is not the son of aldous or william
Ah yeah fair enough
The 3rd sibling is just a theory
i mean whos son is james then
It can be william or aldous for further conversation join me in #🤔|theories
thats all i wanna know
another normal day at work
100% chapter 2 is still probably my favorite CE
so we getting new artwork merch? seems to be pretty expensive from the other stuff they do
I like artwork though
rusty lake merch is so weird. It's either pretty cheap stuff like t-shirts or mugs OR you have these super expensive artworks or artbooks that are sold out forever
there is no inbetween
no, like, harvey plush or something
I do have a specific break in emergency RL merch drop piggybank...
just so weird
This might be worth noting in #💭|suggestions-and-feedback too.
I do get what you mean, though,
regardless im excited to see what itll b like
man I love the tote bag looking, though cant believe its 20 dollars, perhaps I am too broke
gotta save up for whatever that art print is lol
any idea the price range would be? I put my guess on 30 dollars above
okie
sorry thats a lame answer I know lmao
