Is that even possible? https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404809613847-Threads-Moderation-FAQ#h_01FBM6ZR554F3K8ZKHNW730AQA

To help with moderating threads, we’ve added a new permission, “Manage Threads”.

Since threads are generally a new form of “content” in a server, we recommend giving this permission to your “content moderators”, which is likely the same people who have the “Manage Messages” permission in your server.

The creator of a thread, as well as moderators who have the “Manage Threads” permission, will be able to:

    Rename a thread
    Archive a thread
Remove users from a private thread
Edit the auto-archive duration on a thread
Restrict who can invite members to a private thread

If so it'd be useful so it can allow thread creators of the project to be able to pin posts for themselves (The github repo links, issues and so on). Should allow it so they can't remove messages from others. Just pin stuff and make also change the picture of the thread. But not sure if its possible.

#

At least we do have permission to rename the thread itself. I can't edit the picture though or make pins myself.

discord just needs to add pin messages to that list

#

this just extends the permissions of the thread creator to new people

ah I see. It's a discord issue 🙃

manage messages is for >= mods

#

and yeah the permission system is quite awful and 0 flexible

#

you can also not set permissions per thread, only for the whole channel

#

that would mean people with manage thread, can manage all threads across the server

#

thats why Manage Threads is not a thing
