A QOL change inspired by #help message

Using a Universal Block Remover and… I think right clicking instead of left clicking ( or vice versa I can’t remember which mouse button the UBR uses) would reverse certain block interactions that would otherwise be irreversible.

This includes Keypad Chest creation, adding a key panel to a frame, and maybe some other things I’m forgetting about. It would be convenient if you accidentally made too many keypad chests or want to convert an existing keypad block into a key panel. Little resource save if you don’t have the iron to throw around.

I was originally going to suggest this as a whole new tool, but that feels excessive hahah.

Can I turn a password protected chest into a regular chest?

I actually thought this was already in the mod

I like this, not a very large change but one which could save players resources here and there

#

Especially if another tool is not needed

Agree, but not sure if the reinforcer makes sense from a logical standpoint.

#

Before this suggestion was even made, I was also thinking about something like it as a reaction to the mentioned message: When breaking a passcode block, it breaks into Keypad + vanilla block. But my feeling was that is not quite desirable, especially since in vanilla, carts and boats for instance don't break apart (anymore).

UBR meaning Universal Block Remover, not Reinforcer

#

The idea is you would use the mouse input that does not do the breaking to instead deconstruct the block

Oh fail I read this right after waking up and just now remembered to reply. Must have misremembered things.

Hahah, it happens xD

But hey, another point for my other suggestion! /hj

Could be an option in the modifier, just a button you press "dismantle" and it drops it on the floor

Feels a bit clunkier than my suggestion, especially if you have multiple blocks to dismantle, but it would be harder to do accidentially I suppose?

could just be on shift+click?

Idk, I feel like that creates more edge-cases (sometimes literally, if you happen to be crouching over an edge to break a block but end up dismantling instead.)
