This channel is clearly marked as a "player advert" channel, emphasis on the player portion. Right above this channel is the "alliance advert" channel which is where you can advertise and/or promote your alliance freely and openly so long as respect is maintained and actively observed. I'm not a moderator or developer just pointing out what is obvious to most players.
