Hot Rod G1 is ideal and combat is very flexible. I'd still go for a companion on him as well.

They can be, if you pair them up with other bots. For instance, SG Goldbug can be used in conjunction with Warpath or Seaspray to greatly increase straight line damage. Cliffjumper can be used with someone like Dustup to clear areas faster.

Not a fan of Cliff, but I find SG Goldbug to indeed be quite useful. However I disagree on the line damage thing. Thing is Warpath and Seaspray either will one shot by default and make Goldbug's ability useless or they won't and his ability won't trigger and also ends up being useless. Instead, I prefer him in combination with Whirl and Strafe as they can do one shot single target damage which will trigger the explosion (is also cheap) and if they are not one shot from explosion they will be severely weakened. Very strategic bot.

I just dont see why I need to swap out someone (Probably Tigerhawk in this case) with 5+4 scaling to do what? Take out a mortar or two or a Shield gen (I've never lost to an active shield gen through the 36 rounds last weekend)?
Nobody has specified if the drones only distract the ariel defenses or everything💀

Team makeup is certainly most important, but based purely on stats, SG Jetfire is the best air unit in the game. Does the most damage and has the most health of any air unit, it's decoys distract all defensive fire while he is airborne, and it's SA can be used 3-4 times before it becomes too pricey. Most deploy SG J on their top teams. Your mileage may vary.

Damage prevention is way more effective than 2 medics. Whenever that be destroying buildings early, Hacking, holos, Warriors taking aggro, etc

You might try adding in a non-medic healer, such as Broadside, Springer, Sandstorm or others. You still get damage dealers, but also someone that can be a secondary healer.

When you're regularly warring against hq17/18 players or hq17/18 players are attacking you a lot

At that point you have to assume those players have at least one (if not several) ways to counter fellbat

Just about every bot as a counter. Fellbat is just a bot who suffers greatly at high levels because once you remove his ability to stun attackers he is very lackluster

Ideally you want high damage/high health bots in outposts. Twintwist/coleagon is a supreme outpost bot because he has high health, high damage, his ability lasts a long time and attackers can't stun him

Punch - Mass suppression at a low cost
Sky Linx - Is sometimes a better option than Blades, flexable.
B Team:
Jumpstream - Pyra sometimes is either dead or unable to cover for teammates
Tigerhawk - I admit hes pricy but the 25% slowdown and damage by the side has its uses
These bots on my team often get singled out and I get often asked why they're here.
Notice how 3 out of the 4 bots are AoE and provide either an EMP effect or damage reduction. Jumpstream suggests that I take ridiculous amounts damage (which I have repeatedly mentioned) and its gotten to the point where I need 2 rush warriors with shields to cover for it
Bottom Line: I don't need him. Sure I have a 5s with SA lv 10 but that doesn't cover up the fact he can't provide a solution to my main issues regarding fighting in Z15 with lv 50 bots. If you're seen me last weekend then you'd probably know that my B team got W15-L6 in Z15

I use my 4* Tracks a lot in Raids, so been wanting to rank him up for eons, but since it takes so long to get 5k character shards, I didn't want to put myself in a bad position if his 5* ever did come out

You're pretty heavy on warriors. That plus your medic is probably costing you a lot of dps. Not a big deal at low level bases but could be an issue later
